From day one, I was given reassurances on how much they can help me and how well the results will be. Everyone was so kind. I have been told by more than one staff member that I had some subcutaneous fat that they could get rid of. The day before the surgery, I informed the doctor that I wanted the most fat removed. He stated that he is one of a few doctors that remove the most fat. I asked about how painful the procedure would be and he stated that "you will not likely have any. In most cases it's painless because we use lidocaine". He proceeded to let me know that I will need my navel relocated in this procedure for the most skin to be removed. I agreed. The next day on September 22, 2023 I had the surgery, but the doctor ******* finish procedure because the pain was tremendous and he he wouldnt medicate me any further, so he had to stop mid surgery. By the time I made it home I was bigger than when I got there. My first appointment, I made a point to tell the nurse that my abdomen still lies over my lap and I am not happy with my results. She told me that it was the swelling and it would go down. As months went on, and my stomach didn't get any smaller, the nurse made me an appointment to see another doctor there. When I saw that doctor, within 2 seconds flat, she stated that I have diastasis recti(separation of the abdominal muscles) and that she couldn't help me. Something that i had for the last 22 years. I was upset and asked her why. Stated that I need a full tummy tuck or emsculpt. When I asked her if I should of had the first surgery, she nodded her head no. I spent almost $13000 on a procedure that barely has gotten started and wasn't even completely done, by an incompetent doctor. ********************** knows when they can help you or not, but they take your money anyways, regardless of the results.Business Response

I had a consultation w/ ***** at Sono Bello on 3/4/2024. I wanted the procedure to attend my friend's wedding on 5/4/2024. I was told I "had to have" two separate procedures. I asked about the recovery time for each procedure. I explained I had an event from 3/15 to 3/17. I was reassured that I would "definitely" be good for the weekend since my surgery would take place on Monday 3/11, and I wasn't leaving until Friday. I was further told that I came "in just enough time" to have the procedure to attend the out-of-state wedding.As I prepped for my first surgery, I asked about being scheduled for my 2nd to ensure I would have enough recovery time. The nurse said, "I hate when she (referring to *****) does that because she has no medical background." Then, said let me check with the doctor and left the room. She returned and shared that the doctor said, "We should be able to get you in."I didn't make the weekend event.During my 7-day follow-up, the 2nd nurse, *******, reiterated the first nurse's sentiments, stating that ***** shouldn't have told me I would recover in the timelines given. This upset me because the wedding was the ONLY reason I wanted the procedure. ******* said she would "check with the doctor" and call me by Thursday. I felt uneasy when I did not hear from her. On Friday morning, I called and canceled the 2nd procedure. She called the following Tuesday to get me in for a next-day surgery, at which time I informed her that I had canceled the previous week.I have been working w/ ****** for 3 months to get a refund. A partial refund was deposited to me. However, he called and told me an error had been made. He said he "needed a favor" from me to authorize him to return some of the money, but he'd still work to get the amount I requested. This was a lie. There was no error. This was money I was authorized, and he deceived and manipulated me into giving it back. I tried working directly with the location, but the trust is broken.Business Response

Business is refusing to refund deposit, after customer was told she couldnt have the procedure. For three months now customer has been told the refund is on the way or a check will be cut and sent.Business Response

I had a consultation at Sono Bellos in ********* with *******. Very nice, upbeat positive person. I was interested in doing something with my belly (I have previously had a tummy tuck), my waist, and my arms. We settled on upper abs, hips, and waist. With all the discounts, my price was going to be_________ and I had to choose between ********* or ********** for the actual procedure. I told her I needed a day to think about it. The next day when she asked me if Id made my decision, I told her yes, I was not going through with it due to not wanting to have to go all the way to ********** and the price was more than I expected.***** PLEASE see full letter attached to this complaintBusiness Response

How about they show a copy of the check they sent, a date they sent it, and the address to where it was sent? If they were being honest, they would have done that instead of answer in a very fishy manner. No I will not contact them, they can send my check and stop messing around.

I recently had a conversation with ******* regarding my request to cancel, during which she informed me that my deposit was non-refundable. I expressed my concerns to her, feeling that her focus was primarily on financial matters. I had sent an email on the same day (06/11/2024) I made the deposit, indicating my desire to cancel due to health issues. Unfortunately, ******* seemed indifferent to my situation. She mentioned an initial expectation of $2500 from me, but then stated she had been "approved" for me to contribute less, a fact she claims to have communicated to me, which is not accurate. When I stated my intention to put down $1000, she then informed me that I would need to leave at least $1700, supposedly due to my qualification for care credit. Subsequently, she suggested rounding it up to $2000.Given my health concerns, I am not comfortable proceeding with the arrangement. ******* did not discuss any formal documents with me, aside from providing a breakdown of prices. Despite acknowledging that my children were a potential distraction, she appeared solely focused on finalizing the deal. During our conversation, I specifically inquired about the necessity of blood work, to which she assured me it was unnecessary. However, as she is not a medical professional, I find it disconcerting that she made this determination.Regardless of *******'s years of experience as a Patient Experience Specialist, her approach lacked the empathy and consideration one would expect from someone in her role. A company that truly values its customers would prioritize understanding their concerns and allowing time for reflection before proceeding. Despite my request for a refund being made within hours, rather than days, ******* displayed a lack of concern.I am left questioning the integrity of this company and its commitment to customer care.I am requesting a full refund as this was just done yesterday.Initial Complaint

On 4/26/2024 I had an in person consultation to discuss chin liposuction. During my consultation I was told that I would get great results and that I was an ideal candidate for this procedure. During the consultation I was rushed to make a decision on putting down a deposit and was even offered an extra $1000 discount since I am a first responder if I would just make up my mind as other people were waiting. I went ahead and put down a deposit of $2,506.75. I was scheduled for a pre-op on 5/23/2024 where I met with Dr. ****** He told me immediately that I was in fact NOT a candidate for this procedure, my skin does not have enough elasticity and the procedure would leave me with a lot of unsightly sagging skin. He then decided not to go forward with the operation and stated I would get a refund for what I had paid so far. He brought in the Office Manager, *****, to discuss possibly going a different route with more complex procedures, I.E. a face life and a neck lift, which I declined. ***** then stated she would initiate my refund and send me an email with further information which she sent that afternoon stating she was getting my case submitted for cancellation. It's now been over 2 weeks since then and I have been unable to make contact with ***** or anyone else who can assist me. I have sent NUMEROUS emails, called the office daily and have spoken to several employees including *****, *** and ******* (the ones I could remember) who assured me ***** would be reaching out but I have only gotten the run around. Went in for a consultation at the Sono Bello in ********************, JUST a consultation, and even said I was shopping around for different prices. I was then caught in the deposit trap, and I agreed to make a payment on Friday. Stupid as it was I was too excited and proceeded to make an appointment for out for pre-op, which means I had to put down a partial deposit, and then reconsidered due to my financial situation and realized I wasn't able to go through with it. So I spoke to the lady literally an hour later who gave me my quote and she moved forward to delete my file. Still, I was charged on Friday for the deposit. I needed that money for bills, I want my money back!!!Business Response

I am scheduled to have a liposuction procedure to treat my gynecomastia and stomach on June 11. However, after mentioning this to one of the providers at Veterans Affairs, they have advised against having the procedure done due to my current treatment plan to lower my blood pressure and heart rate and the risks that can arise as a result. I also suffer from anxiety and depression which also affects my blood pressure and heart rate. I paid Sono Bello a total of $12629 for the procedure and due to my providers advising against procedure because of my high blood pressure and fast heart rate, I am seeking a full refund of amount paid to Sono Bello.Business Response
