      I went in to sono bello in ****** ** on October 31st 2023. I consulted with **** about liposuction. I let her know what I was looking for to get out of this procedure which was a flatter abdomen and after looking at my stomach and letting me know that I qualified she then showed me slides of procedure results of previous patients. I was assured that I would get what I was looking for, satisfied with the conversation and the promises made I paid the whole amount up front, made an appointment to see the doctor and even scheduled a surgery date. I saw ***************** on Nov 21st and he told me that he would not be able to do the surgery at that price because I would need more work done on my lower abdomen. That is not what **** at the ****** office told me, The doctor said he would contact **** and let her know about a full refund as we both felt (doctor and I) that I was not fully informed about what I would really need. **** called me back and let me know that I would be getting reimbursed in two weeks as she should have been more precise about what I needed. After two weeks I did not receive my full refund as promised, I call **** and she tells me that she told me the refund would take 2-4 weeks not two. I have noticed a pattern of lying from this individual and still have not received my refund after a month, she said she is waiting on corporate to refund me.

      On July and September 2022 I had a procedure done at sonobello to remove fat and sculpt parts of my body, the fat was removed and the procedure healed fine but after 9 months I started to get lumps in my abdomen and sagging skin, when we talked to the consultant and they took our $20,000, she assured us my skin would stay smooth like the pictures in the books and pamphlets they advertise.That is not the case , the excess skin was removed but my abdomen is all lumpy and my skin looks all wrinkled like an old lady also there's an object inside my skin which they say it is not from the procedure.I had a revision done at the 10 months , which they call a satisfaction guarantee and the doctor said that yes the procedure did not turn out as expected and that they would perform another liposuction to try and smooth out the skin and the lumps but that that only a tummy tuck would fix that.this procedure was performed on June 6th 2023, but my complaint is that if the doctors knew that what I needed was a tummy tuck instead of sculpting and liposuction , why did they take our money knowing the results were not going to be optimal , to me this is false advertising and misleading the customer only to get their money .when I filled out a review stating that I was not happy and that I wanted the surgery done over to repair this , ***** one of the supervisors told me that they could not do the surgery over because the only thing that would fix it would be a tummy tuck and that Sonobello does not perform that surgery , then I stated that after paying them I did not have enough to pay for a tummy tuck when this was caused by them to begin with and if they could not do the surgery over then to reimburse me some of the money at least , so she stated that they do not do post op refunds and that there was nothing else they could do.I am placing this complaint to be able to get my money refunded for misleading me and not being honest about the procedure and not advising me of a tummy tuck since the beginning , I need help from you since I could not come to an agreement with Sonobello.

This is why we offer our patients a Satisfaction Commitment this commitment states We understand that no physician can specifically predict or guarantee the final results with cosmetic procedures. Despite the skilled work of our surgeon and a successful procedure that provides a cosmetic improvement, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and dissatisfaction can occur. Should you find your results to be unsatisfactory, your surgeon would like the opportunity to evaluate your results. If your surgeons evaluation determines your results to be deficient, we will touch up the area at no cost to you. Our Chief Medical Officer reserves the final authority to approve or deny such a request based on patient safety, results achieved, likelihood of additional benefit, and other relevant factors." As ********************** stated in her complaint she was approved for her Satisfaction procedure and this procedure took place on June 6, 2023. We do not refer to this procedure as a satisfaction guarantee because we aren't able to predict results or how a patient will react to the procedure. This is the same with any medical procedure, there are always risks. 

      Additionally, our Satisfaction Surgery Consent which ********************** signed prior to having her satisfaction procedure states "Revision procedures may result in prolonged recovery time with a greater chance of poor healing, including but not limited to scarring and asymmetry. Factor affecting the outcome of the revision may not be known until during the revision procedure." It also states Liposuction is an elective cosmetic procedure to improve appearance. Revision liposuction comes with the expectation that the condition will be improved but, in some cases, there may be no improvement, or the condition will be worsened. It is your responsibility to fully understand the anticipated benefit you can expect based on your individual circumstances. The practice of medicine and surgery is not an exact science and results are not guaranteed. Results will vary among patients. Before and after photos published in literature or in electronic format are not necessarily typical of the result any one patient may expect."

      An additional Satisfaction procedure was not approved for ********************** as this will not improve her results, this however does not mean that she is *********** a refund. Our Financial Agreement which she signed and initialed at the time of her purchase states "We have carefully explained to you the elective nature of this procedure. You have been informed of the risks of this procedure. Please be advised that we do not offer post-procedure refunds under any circumstance. We ask that if she has any further questions or concerns that she please reach out to ***********

      I was told that I had to pay the entire bill prior to the surgery, so I put it on my credit card. Monday came and went without them contacting me, so I called them and said that they had lied to me about 4 times and that I was fed up with their business practices and wanted a refund. After several days of complaining they agreed to refund my money. I told them I would give them until January 1st, and if I had not gotten my refund I was going to file complaints with the ******** ************************* and with the BBB. The complaints would include the issue of senior abuse, as I am 74 1/2 years old. They agreed to do so, but have not yet done it. I will gladly send or fax you my documentation.

      I have not received any satisfactory remedies to this issue by Sonobello, other than to say they are a training facility. I have asked for documentation that I supposedly signed regarding I may not get the Dr I requested, researched and paid thousands for only to get cut open by a trainee.

      Last year I received a procedure from Sono Bello in **************. I was excited for this surgery because I had been waiting for it for so long. When I did the surgery I didnt really see results, but I was patient and waited. It has now been a year and literally my body looks just the same. No weight difference no difference in body shape. I feel like I was ripped off and this company is a scam. I look exactly the same for over $8000. I am VERY disappointed and dissatisfied. I want a refund or my file to be reviewed for a settlement. This is not fair!

      I am rejecting this response because: I took two days off of work and lost over $2200 from work due to traveling to Brentwood for the same follow up appointments they want me to have again (I have documented proof of the time/money loss from work). I got there and the doctor was not there either time, no one called me to reschedule. This went on for months! The office manager stated I wouldnt need to drive back that the doctor would call. Again this never happened. I work 12 hour rotating shift, so the claim that I was offered a Saturday appointment wouldnt matter. And the fact is that once again Sono ***** was dishonest in stating that I was offered a Saturday appt. I was offered a $1500 refund after being told that I only paid $5000. When I challenged that amount I was told that I was charged $6500. When in fact I was charged over $7000 (by which I have documented proof). If there was no liability from SonoBella why was I offered $1500. The contract was communicated to be satisfaction guaranteed. I did my part for almost a year attempting to work with *********. I traveled to their location twice (3.5 hour round trip each time). The lady that contacted me regarding this complaint stated that she understood my concern and praised my patience stating that she would have already filed a complaint.

      I am requesting a full refund. The dishonest even up to last week giving an inaccurate amount that I paid is very disheartening. Especially when I have credit card statements validating the truth. If their records shows a different amount they need to perform an investigation or audit of some sort.

      I received a phone call from an **** with SonoBella corporate office. She left a message stating that the case was reopened and she wanted to know why. I left a message back stating that I was not aware that the case was ever closed and that I rejected their offer statement which included inaccurate information. **** and I have not recently verbally talked and I am not for sure why she would have thought the case was closed.       I was schedule to have surgery on November 24th 2023, the doctor cancelled my surgery on November 16th 2020. I had put down $2000.00 deposit. On the same day the doctor cancelled my procedure, I called ******* requesting my refund of $2000.00 ******* told me it would take two weeks for my refund. I emailed and text ******* on 11/16/23 requesting my refund. On 12/6/23, 12/7/23 ******* told me my money was sitting in a queue for refund. On 12/12/23, 12/15/23 and 12/16/23 I texted ******* for a follow up email on my refund of $2000 as of today no response from *******. On 12/18/23 and 12/19/23 I spoke with *****, ***** stated she had had emailed the accounting department about my refund because, she see the my $2000.00 in queue and as soon as she hear back fro accounting she will call me back. Its now 12/21/23 I have not heard anything from ******* or ***** about my $2000.00 refund I had to put down for a deposit for my procedure.

      I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the lack of clarity and information provided to me about the risks and potential complications associated with the surgical procedure performed by Sono Bello. The surgery has led to severe complications, resulting in significant medical costs and causing a substantial financial burden for my family. These complications have had a profound impact on my life, and I am deeply troubled by the lack of responsibility taken by Sono Bello in addressing the long-term effects of the botched surgery.

       



      I have endured extensive medical expenses and long-term deformities as a result of the surgery performed by Sono Bello's doctor. Which will require surgery again in the near future to fix all the issues. Also the aftermath of the procedure has placed my family in a state of hardship, and I am left grappling with the financial and emotional toll of this experience. That was never expected I believe that the lack of proper information and the subsequent complications have led to an unacceptable situation, and I am seeking mediation for a refund as a means of addressing the issues that have arisen from the surgery.

      It has been now 11 months and still today I have severe medical complications due to the surgery. I was not just put on a medication and sent home. I have had to see lung specialist, hematologist, cardiologist and many more doctors still to today from the damages of the post surgery.  

      It is my firm belief that individuals considering such procedures need to be thoroughly informed about the potential life-threatening risks that *** arise.

      All I am requesting is a fair and equitable resolution in the form of a refund for the repercussions of the surgery performed at Sono Bello. It is essential that we raise awareness about the human impact of these experiences and work towards ensuring that individuals are treated with the dignity and respect they deserve throughout the entirety of their medical care. 

      I sincerely hope that we can come to an agreement that addresses the challenges I have faced and provides a path forward towards resolution.

      its completion, when the nurse helped me into a girdle, I experienced a sudden drop in blood pressure, accompanied by dizziness, nausea, and an overall feeling of unwellness.After about 20 minutes, I was prepared to leave and was placed in a wheelchair. This entire experience has left me deeply disturbed and dissatisfied with the level of care I received at your facility.I experienced following my procedure at Sonobello Immediately after returning home from the procedure, at approximately 6 PM, I began feeling very sick. With assistance, I went to the bathroom to change my gauze and suddenly started to bleed from all of my incisions, which ultimately led to me to passing out. My spouse promptly contacted Sonobello and 911, and we were instructed that I needed to be transported to the hospital. After 5 to 10 minutes, the ambulance arrived, and I was found nonresponsive in my bathtub. I was then transported from my home to the local hospital. Following numerous examinations, CPR was performed in the ambulance, and after a few hours, I was transferred from my local hospital to the nearest hospital associated with Sono Bello.After speaking with the doctor who performed the surgery, I underwent several tests and was subsequently informed that I had a blood clot in my right lung, which was determined to be a direct result of the surgery.This surgery put my life in a life-threatening situation and at risk. Given the severity of these complications, it is imperative that I seek appropriate action to address this matter and ensure that others do not face similar risks.After 10 months of the procedure, I have continued to have severe complications in ******** to the surgery. Extensive medical care that required after the surgery and has been proven that all of the diagnosis and long-term effect was caused by the surgery.The surgery was not done correctly. I have a long-term deformities due to the incorrect of the way the surgery was performed.I was required to be off of work for over a month and a half per the doctor in ************ from Sonobello. When the recovery time was supposed to be 1 to 5 days it put my family in a hardship in all of the medical cost that we had to pay after the surgery.I am requesting for someone to contact me immediately. I have tried to contact the office in multiple occasions and have left multiple messages to the office manager with no ******** even after ************************************************************************************************************************* and has not even contacted **** am requesting a full refund due to the pain and suffering caused by this company having to pay $14,000 for surgery is outrageous and having to have gone through all of the medical bills that I had to pay after the surgery and no one has even responded.

We have also reviewed her hospital medical records, these indicate that she had two syncope episodes, there is no record of her having a cardiac event or having CPR administered. ************ had a small pulmonary embolism which was treated with oral medications and she was discharged the next day. It's unfortunate that ************ had these complications however these are known post surgical risks. ************ was informed of these possible risks in our Surgical Consent which she signed and initialed. Our consents also state "We have carefully explained to you the elective nature of this procedure. You have been informed of the risks of this procedure. Please be advised that we do not offer post-procedure refunds under any circumstance." We encourage ************ to contact our Director of Patient Experience to continue discussing possible resolutions.

      Surgery scheduled today 12/16/2023 at 12 noon, Sono Bello staff (including surgeon) failed to tell me they were short staffed, even though they knew they were short staffed at least the day before my surgery. They have taken my $10,000, called and tried to push back my surgery an hour and I half. I live out of town and my family member, who was driving me, had other obligations later today at their home in *******, **. When I tried explaining why I couldnt do a later surgery time (which wouldnt have been necessary if they had done their jobs scheduling properly to accommodate their short staff), the surgery tech, *************************** (at the Brentwood, ** surgery center for Sono Bello) told me that I didnt understand she was having a s***** day and that I was a b**** She needs to be fired and Sono Bello needs to contact me and make this right. I didnt spend $10,000 of my hard earned money to travel out of town, spend $100 on a hotel, pay for gas and other traveling expenses, to be treated this way. I think Sono Bello and their staff needs to recall who their paying customers are who supply their income.
