Non-buyer beware: if you need to change your mind about living here during the application process, before you even sign a lease agreement, too bad, they're going to keep your money, even if you never sign a lease. Not an application fee, which is reasonable, but a move-in fee and security deposit for damages to the apartment. An apartment you never signed a lease for. An apartment you've never seen. "It's our money now." That's a direct quote. Allow me to explain.I filled out an application. That's it. No lease agreement. I had to withdraw it because my father's starting chemo at ************** - ******* too far from the hospital. The leasing managers didn't care at all. $660 was withdrawn from my checking account for a security deposit and move-in fee, despite the fact that I never signed a lease or even saw an apartment. These fees are part of your lease agreement. Reasonably confused, I asked for it back. They said no. "It's our money now." That's a direct quote. Like villains or highway robbers. What a mind blowing quote, right?Especially considering the first person I spoke to said "Don't worry about it, I'll speak to my manager and get those deposits it back to you. It'll have to on Monday however." This was on Friday evening when the charge posted. You see, the leasing manager was supposed to email me with info on rescinding my application and they never did. Not one email was ever sent to me directly.Monday rolls around and it's like everyone has amnesia. Yes, your math is correct. In two business days, they flipflopped from 'of course we will give money wrongfully taken back to you' to "It's our money now."So again, if you need to cancel your lease application, for any reason, don't do it. They do say one thing and do another. They say they'll contact you directly to your personal email, and then they don't. Family who may be dying? Oh well, that's a you problem. Half a grand that they aren't ***********?That's their money now.

Please do not believe the hype.11/26/2023: My package got stolen by a homeless man who is living in one of the empty apartments on the unit. Wanna know how I know? I found him wandering around & he TOOK me there inside.05/23/2023: My home was broken into while I was inside asleep. Motif did nothing but offer me to move to another apartment & pay not only two payments of rent for the apartment I was leaving but also be held responsible for new move in fees etc for the new apartment. We were told that our parking lot gates would be fixed & working with 24/7 patrol. THAT WAS A LIE. ***** still arent used & theres never patrol here. 3 of my neighbors have had their cars broken into from September 2023 - Nov 2023. The police told me themselves they get calls for this complex everyday. Its not surprising due to the amount of homeless ppl that are CONSTANTLY here even in the garbage. The ceiling in my tub has been leaking since Ive moved here in 2021 & after multiple maintenance requests, still the same issues. My tub is also peeling/rusting & what seems to be molding, requested for this to be repaired. Someone came out & my tub was back peeling within a week. Ive seen a few roaches but believe that *** have been from the mold from the tub cause thats where they were. Walls are PAPER thin and way too many dog owners not picking up behind their dogs. Water is constantly out of service for hours, even days at one point during the summer ******* 2023). The staff is the worst Ive ever encountered. Can never keep a solid staff, which doesnt create great relationships because you never know who you talk to. They are most times rude, never is there, business hours that they actually operate are not the same as whats on the door or online.

Run!! Do not rent from these people, they are thieves!! Their grounds are disgustingly kept, upon moving in none of my appliances worked, filthy baseboards, paint over spray everywhere and peeling off the base boards, carpet stunk like mildew, for almost $3,000.00 per month, we deserved better. Dog f**** everywhere, the gate fobs never work. Homeless people rummaging through the trash throwing it all over the ground daily. Disgusting smells that were making me sick coming in through the vents. Moved out left the place cleaner than I got it, theyre not only trying to keep my security deposit, theyre trying to charge me additional money for painting and carpet cleaning. Not only is it illegal, its just flat out wrong, what theyre doing to people. *** lived in quite a few places and never have I ever been ripped off for my security deposit. Especially if you leave the place cleaner than they gave it to you. Do not rent from Them if you can avoid it. I do have pics, wish I could post them here! Its sad!! Dont know how their employees live with themselves! Must get a kick back for all the security deposits they keep from people!

We were addressed as "valued residents", but treated like vermin. the place was a mess, garbage everywhere, badly stained carpets in all entryways and halls, horrible stench and stink smells. no security, we had someone try to break into our garage, mail is constantly stolen, management has no screening process, they allow anyone into the "community" individuals who don't work or have any respect for property. Police serving warrants and called out for domestic issues routinely, Rent increases annually and hidden "utility bundle" fees, Weidner treats employees with trips to ******, bonuses and advancement at the cost of renters. **** Weidner is a billionaire because he's a slum lord. I would like to see him live in one of his (hell hole apartments)

They have unprofessional management. Horrible groundskeepers that steal your belongings. Managment refuses to communicate. ***** and spiteful property manager. ************** are old inside with paint as a facade to cover the rot. Have found roaches, and black mold. Leaking water through walls. Birds living in the ***** and facia.Neighbors food stink comes through the bathroom mirror cabinet. If I could give it zero stars I would. This has been a horrible experience I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

Former employee.I worked maintenance for this company and holy c*** You're expected to be on call for months on end, you're expected to maintain properties that legally require more than one technician by yourself, I was encouraged to take shortcuts rather than actually fix issues by my supervisor. When I received complaints about the rent going up I went to the office to figure out wth was going on. Word for word my property manager said this "when you have the only glass of water in the desert, you can charge whatever you want." I'll never work for these terrible people again and I'm sorry to all the residents I was forced to s**** over with shotty repairs. Run. Run for your lives.

I would seriously consider NOT living here - Unless you want to live with roaches.- Unless you want to live with frequent police activity throughout the day and night. - Unless you want A/C that only cools to 78 degrees on good days.- Unless you want to wait weeks for things to be fixed.- Unless you like being drenched in the stench of weed when you walk out your door.- Unless you want to be harassed just walking to the gym (females beware)- Unless you want to live in a gated community that doesnt close its gates all the time - Unless you want to be absolutely screwed with your rental agreement. If you have any self-worth or desire to be in a happy, safe home, DO NOT live here. The rent is cheap, but there will be apartments with cheap rent that have far better reviews than this one. Dont believe the pics either. Be patient in your search. You owe it to yourself to remove this place from your list.

August 4, 2020 I moved into Stoneleigh Apartments at the Reserve in ********, **. run by Weidner Property Management LLC. Things went fine until December 25, 2022 (Christmas Day). That morning a sprinkler tank in the Recreation Room burst and lots of water came down on the 2nd floor. My apt. was in the corner so it got most of the water. Seven apts. on 2nd floor and 7 on 1st floor were affected too. Wet vacs and fans were used to try and dry up the water. The elevator was flooded so all the residents had to walk up and down the stairs for 2 months and to this day the floor in front of the 2nd floor elevator is cement with white glue . My bathroom smelled like mold so I quit using it in January. My lease was up in May and I moved out June 1, 2023. Weidner then sent me a letter stating they were only refunding $75.03 of my $350.00 security deposit and then on July 4, 2023 I received an email stating I still owed them $44.80. This is the worst place I have ever lived and I would never recommend it to anyone.
