1 starI was clearly having an anxiety attack after sitting for 4 hours with a child screaming. It screamed for hours in the airport terminal and proceeded not to stop until it was on the verge of throwing up multiple times during the 5 hour flight.I had taken all my medication I was allotted and was doing *******************. My heart rate was 95-130bpm the entire flight as I tried to get it down with music playing, phone games for distraction, breathing techniques the crying got louder. I exclaimed shut up out of exasperation as the flight attendant was passing. I apologized to the flight attendant and explained Im having an anxiety attack, that Im unable to steady my breathing and I may pass out. They told me there was an empty row in the back and I said Id love to move and they explained that I was going to be whether or not I wanted to. They made my sister move as well for some reason and as we gathered our things they pressed and pressed us to move faster. I have an anxiety disorder as well as a heart condition. And I was shaking as I was gathering my things. As a person with a heart condition and an anxiety disorder when I see my heart rate consistently high I know it increases my risk of stroke which in turn makes my anxious episodes worse.Review fromAndew D

1 starThey promised us airlines miles if we spent $3,000 but they refuse to give us our miles. No one sent us promotional details which caused us to lose our bonus. They are horrible, unethical and dishonest company. Dont fall for their scam!!!Review fromAngelica P

1 starOn Sep 6th, 2024, I purchased tickets for Sep 14th from ************ to *************. I spent $2,142.80 and was given the confirmation number AOKJUK for this purchase. On the day I was traveling, I decided to go to the kiosk instead since I didn't do well on the online processing. When I arrive at the airport at 0600. People lined up at the Alaska Airlines kiosk going to the same flight. I asked the lady in the front if she could please check me in, to which she refused and told me that I should have done it online and that I needed to check my bag. Then, she sends me back to the self-check-in machine. By the time I went to the machine, the system was telling me that I needed assistance to check-in. Then, again, I asked the lady if she could check me in since the system was not doing it. She told me I was too late for the flight and needed to re-book. As I was talking to her, there were still other people going on the same flight I was going to. I was traveling with a friend and she was there with me when all of this happened. She was able to go on the flight that I was forced to drop. I had no choice but to call and have the flight re-book which cost an extra $1,526.60 with the confirmation number EYGOPC. There was no fault on my end. I did not cancel the flight nor was I late. I requested a money refund on the flight that I was forced to rebook due to the lack of customer ********************** from an *****************************************. The same day while I was waiting on the next flight I was forced to purchase, I decided to email Alaska Airlines, they sent me a reference case number but I have not heard from them since then. I called their customer ********************** number and they left me waiting on the phone for hours. When they finally answered the call, they told me that it was the wrong department and left me waiting again. The ******* just cares about taking people's money and their customer ********************** is useless.Review fromScott B

1 starI called customer ********************** to get resolution for a three hour delay in my flight due to Alaskas errors. I use their text system and they told me I needed to call customer ********************** and gave me the number. I called the number only to be transferred after being on hold Proceeded to wait 45 minutes. With no knowledge of what was happening and I hung up and redial to try a different Avenue. When I called back my wait time was two hours and 15 minutes only to receive $100 for my three hour delay. I felt they shouldve paid me for the more than two hours. They left me on hold in addition to the late flight.Review fromKirby Y

1 starMy son booked 2 seats and under the plane storage for him and his pets to start a new life in another state. He was to leave on a Tuesday. The airline told him he would have to change to Wednesday. They called again half a day before to say he would have to fly out on Friday. Today, on Thursday afternoon they told him he could fly out on Sunday. His belongings have been shipped. He Is stranded with 3 pets. His former apartment is empty and he has to care for these 3 pets. All are suffering. At this point I wonder why they accepted the payment and reservation in the first place.Review fromJupiter B

1 starBooked a flight due to a hotel change last minute during my vacation on August 18, 2024. The flight was from Cancun to Mexico. I attempted to change the flight via the website and the Alaska app only to be told that I have to call. I called the Alaska support number only to be told that the current wait time is more than 3 hours.
Alaska airlines is one of the crappiest airlines I have ever flown on, and I will never fly with them again. I have initiated a charged back from my credit card. Fuck you alaska, I hope this airlines goes bankrupt and is replaced by delta.Review fromNina L

1 star8/10/2024 flight 474 out of *** (***************, ******) with original departure time 5:08pm and arriving time to PDX (direct flight) at 8:42pm was delayed. New departure time was 7:58pm and now stopping at *** (***********, **********) for fueling and bad weather, according to the Alaska customer rep I spoke to on the phone. (which was a lie) I realized that with such a delayed, US Customs in ******** would be closed and would have to stop in LAX for immigration customs. Now its new departure time from *** is 11:40pm and arriving at *** (********, ******) at 2:03am on 8/11/2024. Mind you, I paid for a direct flight because my mother is on a wheel chair and disable. Has troubles with in and out of planes and prefers to stay in the plane to avoid getting lost at other airports, wheelchair access and the hassle since she has trouble walking. This is insane. I could have bought a different plane ticket that would have had a 1 stop in ***, SEA or even ************ and still would have made it before 2:03am on the next day. My mother has been loyal to Alaska airlines since 1996 and this was very disappointing as she is now 65 and has troubles flying with her disabilities. Not to mentioned we are 45mins away from airport and I have to be up at 4am for work. Looking at all these 1 star ratings and other experiences from other customers, we may consider flying through someone else. Bad experience from us. Not to mentioned that in 2001, my mother filed for theft. Someone stole all of her gold, worth $5000 from her checked bag. We never got anything back or found out who did it.Review fromDavor O

1 starWhen hurricane approached my flight destination and my flight from ******** to ********* via Alaska KMXPUZ experienced delays and diversions flight 290 customer ********************** gave me false promise that they could change my flight booking for different one. This was after I spent 1.5 hrs on phone barely able to understand anyone on the phone who were located overseas in a different country. Connection kept breaking and very difficult to hear or talk to customer ********************** as they seem to be extremely remote located. I was promised a different flight and they charged me $157.00 and said updated ticket would be issued within 24 hours, only for 4 days almost 5 to have money taken and no update ticket available. I called back daily and was promised issue is taking time for day 4 to be told money paid for adjusting flight would go towards ticket insurance because flight cant be changed. Apparently week earlier they couldnt tell me this even though tickets for desired flight were available for purchase. I am extremely disappointed at lack of compassion specially since I called so early due to safety concerns and was promised and money was taken from my credit card even. Id definitely contact news crew to let them know about false information being shared with customers.Review fromLola1956

1 starI was discriminated against by a crew member (of a different color, I might add) and accused of being intoxicated (which I was not) due to my disabilities), could be violent, and removed from the aircraft before take off. I am an 51 disabled 68-year old senior citizen. Airline personnel would not accept my evidence of disabilities. I tried to show them my handicap car pass, pain management doctors name (I have several doctors for each disability), but they did not even want to see one. At the time, I was NOT on any pain medication. I even asked for a breathalyzer test to prove my innocence. They would not do one.Review fromRedi G

1 starWorst experience ever accompanied by the highest negligence. Tried to take a weekend vacation and it was absolutely destroyed by this company. They put the wrong gate and destination name was reversed to what was on the board. I was sent to the other side of the airport to a gate they didnt use that took a half hour dragging luggage, then running back with it after it was determined that they printed the wrong gate on the ticket. Name on the ticket for the destination was ******************* while on the board was ******** as you can imagine not under C nor S. Missed the flight and their customer ********************** rep ******* help herself but to continue raising her voice although I reminded numerous times to lower it and keep it leveled with mine, after all she wasnt the one that missed her flight and had to run around the airport. Charged me to rebook the flight the next day, wouldnt cover or compensate hotel nor car rides for being stuck in a different city. Then found out that they had misspelled my name on the rebooked ticket that took over an hour on the phone to fix. But the fun didnt stop there, while I had paid for premium that included checking bags, they didnt have the same level the next day but while not willing to refund the difference even, charged a me for checking in the bag. Still not done with their shenanigans, the next day, after we waited in line to go through security, once we made it there, the flight they had assigned to my wifes passport was different than the one showing on the app so ******* go through, had to get out of the line and go wait on the checking bag line to get it fixed then go back to the security line to go through. Proof of the ticket and events were provided to their customer ********************** and a week after supposed review, they admitted the fault and their offer was $250 credit towards the next flight with them, my tickets were over $2,000 for both of us. You ******* pay me enough to fly with this company.
