Worst experience ever accompanied by the highest negligence. Tried to take a weekend vacation and it was absolutely destroyed by this company. They put the wrong gate and destination name was reversed to what was on the board. I was sent to the other side of the airport to a gate they didnt use that took a half hour dragging luggage, then running back with it after it was determined that they printed the wrong gate on the ticket. Name on the ticket for the destination was ******************* while on the board was ******** as you can imagine not under C nor S. Missed the flight and their customer ********************** rep ******* help herself but to continue raising her voice although I reminded numerous times to lower it and keep it leveled with mine, after all she wasnt the one that missed her flight and had to run around the airport. Charged me to rebook the flight the next day, wouldnt cover or compensate hotel nor car rides for being stuck in a different city. Then found out that they had misspelled my name on the rebooked ticket that took over an hour on the phone to fix. But the fun didnt stop there, while I had paid for premium that included checking bags, they didnt have the same level the next day but while not willing to refund the difference even, charged a me for checking in the bag. Still not done with their shenanigans, the next day, after we waited in line to go through security, once we made it there, the flight they had assigned to my wifes passport was different than the one showing on the app so ******* go through, had to get out of the line and go wait on the checking bag line to get it fixed then go back to the security line to go through. Proof of the ticket and events were provided to their customer ********************** and a week after supposed review, they admitted the fault and their offer was $250 credit towards the next flight with them, my tickets were over $2,000 for both of us. You ******* pay me enough to fly with this company.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the treatment my family and I received during our recent flight with Alaska Airlines. On June 29, 2024, we traveled from **********, ********** to *********** (***) on flight number 1415. Despite my repeated requests at the Guanacaste, ********** check-in counter for our family to be seated together, my two-year-old son, was assigned seat 30F, and my four-year-old son was assigned seat 30A, while my wife and I were seated together in 31E and 31F.My request to have our children seated with us was denied by the ticketing agent. When I asked to speak to a manager, my request was again rejected. The staffs response was not only unprofessional but also demeaning, as we were laughed at and subjected to rude remarks. It was only through the assistance of other passengers that we were able to reunite our children with us.

My recent experience with Alaska Airlines was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to share my ordeal in hopes of preventing others from going through the same distress. My husband and I were flying back home from ******* when we were unexpectedly and unjustly removed from our flight due to his portable oxygen concentrator (***).Upon arrival in *******, my husband had no issues flying with his ***, which had been previously approved by Alaska Airlines. However, when we attempted to board our return flight, we were told by *****, the supervisor at the Alaska Airlines counter in SeaTac, that my husbands *** could not be allowed on board. This was baffling and incredibly frustrating since the same *** had been approved for our incoming flight. When we tried to explain this, ***** was not only dismissive but outright rude.Instead of offering a solution or any assistance, ***** simply kicked us off our paid flight. He didnt provide any alternatives, such as stowing the *** or arranging another method for us to travel. His lack of empathy and customer ********************** skills was shocking. We were left stranded, confused, and without a way to get home, all because of inconsistent policies and an uncooperative supervisor. The entire experience was deeply stressful, especially given the critical nature of my husband's medical condition. It's unacceptable that Alaska Airlines would treat paying customers with such disregard and insensitivity. Their failure to communicate consistent policies and their supervisor's poor handling of the situation have left us questioning ever flying with Alaska Airlines again. In summary, our encounter with Alaska Airlines at SeaTac was marred by rude and dismissive behavior from *****, who provided no viable solutions and instead removed us from our flight. This experience was both distressing and unacceptable, highlighting significant flaws in the airline's customer ********************** and policy enforcement.

I was charged for an additional ticket because my name on the ticket was my nickname. I was not able to board my outbound because I did not put my given name but my nickname . I booked with Travelocity and they did not ask for the name on my drivers license. I paid for the ticket, only to be turned back at ***. My husband went through with his nickname. Alaska corrected the mistake with Travelocity and I did not incur a charge!Today I called both companies and Alaska charged me an additional $250. Travelocity would not assist. They said it was now in the hands of Alaska Air. As a senior citizen on a fixed income this is deplorable. $250 to change my name!!

Disappointed with my expierence purchasing and international flight through their one world alliance. The process to purchase was easy, but my experience afterwards has been less than stellar. My baggage was damaged by Japan Airlines- their difficult customer ********************** outlets proved insanely impossible to get through. So on a last ditch effort I reached out to AK air. The nice lady who took my phone call said she could file a claim on my behalf. Alaska saves the day right? Wrong. They filed my complaint and sent me an email with confirmation that said they would be in contact with the number provided. This is not truly the case. I finally decided to follow up a month later, and the patient representative kindly informed me that they only file on my behalf because they are bound by DOT and they will not do anything further to assist the outcome. The email they initially sent was misleading. In conjunction with that they still have not credited me miles earned on one way of my international flights. I have provided confirmation codes and ticket numbers and they still have not credited me. Their one world partnership specifically states that miles can be earned on any of their one world partner airlines. I am an Alaskan resident myself and its frustrating and disappointing to be misled by an airline I am quite literally forced to use when I need to leave my island. I appreciate the services they do provide, but this experience has been disheartening.

I am deeply disappointed with the service provided by Alaska Airlines and their partner, RocketMiles. After booking a flight with Alaska Airlines, I attempted to use my accumulated miles to reserve a hotel through their website, only to be met with obstacles. Despite multiple calls to Alaska Airlines' customer **********************, I was informed they don't handle hotel reservations and directed me to RocketMiles.Upon trying to redeem my miles on the RocketMiles website, I encountered another hurdle. The website doesn't have an option to process my redemption, and after enduring a lengthy wait time on the phone with RocketMiles' customer **********************, I was informed of a vague "technical issue" with no estimated time for resolution. I was left with the choices of trying again periodically or paying out of pocket. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. As a loyal customer, I expect to be able to redeem my miles without such obstacles. The lack of coordination between Alaska Airlines and RocketMiles reflects poorly on their partnership and leaves customers like myself feeling neglected. I was counting on using my Miles for this already-booked trip. However, if the issue is not resolved, I might have to cancel my whole trip. Very frustrating!

I recently looked at flights with Alaska. My trip was for 3 months in the future. After I found the one I wanted, I left the page up and then came back to it the next day in ****** flights and purchased it. It was dumb, but I didnt re-verify that the dates stayed the same. A week later I went to book the hotel and was looking at my flights and realized that the dates were wrong. The ****** flight page must have refreshed and defaulted to whatever their default date was. I immediately called in, still a month in advance of the incorrect dates, to see if they would help me change it. Glad to pay any difference in fair. They lady very curtly told me that I should have checked and that it wasnt their problem. My flight type didnt qualify for changes, and then she hung up. I get that the fare type doesn't do that, and I get that most of this was my fault. But a month in advance of the flight still allows plenty of time to fill their seats. Seems unnecessary and on top of that the entire experience was incredibly poor.
