The Online Divorce, ******************************************** is a complete SCAM. I paid over $700.00 in 09/2022, and was informed that, Online Divorce takes care of ALL paperwork, from *start* of divorce process, through *completion* of divorce, until the divorce is FINAL. The company simply filed a FL-100 (petition) and FL-110 (summons) form with the Los Angeles County Court, then, dropped the ball. Since the court date 01/31/2023, the company has refused to file the FL-115 (proof of serve to respondent in person) form, and, has stated through several emails only, no phone calls, that, they are not required to complete the divorce process, that it is the Petitioner's responsibility to complete the process. Again, I paid for a service that was a complete SCAM. This company stole my money. I requested a 100% refund, and they are not paying any attention to my request.OnlineDivorce.com

We are sorry for your frustration. We have already explained that we only provide service for uncontested cases where both parties agree and are willing to sign the forms. We are still waiting for the respondent's documents. Once we have them, we are happy to submit the needed forms. We are willing to continue and complete the process once we have the respondent's completed documents.Review fromKate N

ABSOLUTELY UBSURD.I personally have done my paperwork 3x (notarized & all), 2x being their fault for wrong info entered. Now my soon to be ex husband signed his forms & sent them *********** HAVE THE WRONG DOCKET # !!! They sent my ex forms with child custody docket #, instead of divorce #. ***. That's not my fault but here I am paying another $40 a month, its been a year now and still not finished.OnlineDivorce.com

You guys have really horrible business practice. It says if I am not happy and I do not feel safe with your service that you will issue a refund. You did not provide a service that I paid for. Now you're wanting me to complete what I paid you to do in the first place. Why did I pay you to file and see my divorce through and now you're telling me that because it was denied.I have to file everything on my own now. Your company is a complete scam. I highly suggest nobody else uses this company.Review fromLindsey H

If I could leave zero stars, I would. This place is a TOTAL SCAM!! I paid for both a subscription for several months and a platinum service. With said platinum service it was supposed to include THEM filing the documents with the court. They continued dragging their feet in processing my paperwork so that I would have to continue paying the monthly subscription fee ($49.99 mind you). The moment I stopped allowing them to fleece me and stopped paying my monthly subscription fee, suddenly like magic, my final papers were ready and were dropped in the mail; however, as already stated, I paid for a platinum service where they were supposed to be filing the papers, I even had to provide them with a cashiers check for the court processing fees for them to do so I called customer service to ask what the next steps are as I was confused as to why I received my final papers with instruction to make sure I FILED with the courts, when I paid for them to file the documents and provided them with the cashiers check for the court fees. **************** states, they cannot tell me what my next steps are unless I pay the monthly subscription fee, again. So here more than $700 later still no divorce and I havent a clue as to where my money is or what the status of my divorce is in because they refuse to tell me because I will not pay for their monthly subscription again. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! TOTAL SCAM!OnlineDivorce.com

We are sorry to learn of your frustrations.
The monthly subscription fee can be canceled at any time. All of our customers are responsible for paying the court filing fee. This fee is paid directly to the court. Once the case is filed and state-specific service requirements are met, we send a finalization packet to our customers, which includes instructions and the forms needed to finalize the case.Review fromAmber C

I wouldnt recommend. After paying them $300 and refilling out paperwork several times and them giving me the wrong clerk to write a money order out to I was done with them. I should mention it took several months and they print out the same paperwork you can find for free online. I ended up doing it all myself even writing up a custody agreement and got full custody only paying $157 in total. My divorce was finalized in 63 days. This company is useless and a scam. If your spouse agrees with everything please do it yourself.OnlineDivorce.com

We are happy to learn you were able to finalize your case!
We understand there are other resources available where you can obtain forms. Keep in mind that we do not sell forms. We provide a self-help service where you can access our software, and your forms are generated based on your answers.Amber C

You absolutely do sell those forms. All you do is fill part of them out for people. I had full access for free to those forms. Your company should be ashamed! I will be helping people in divorce groups for free and let them know they can obtain the forms and instructions for free.Review fromG. Y.

Total scam. You fill out a questionnaire and then I cancelled and they refuse to refund the money I paid. I used Affirm to make payments and Online Divorce is refusing to refund them as well. Total scam.OnlineDivorce.com
Date: 12/04/2024
We assure you that are not a scam. We provide a self help service and you have fully utilized our services. You completed the questionnaire, submitted your answers, and downloaded the forms generated by our software. Our refund policy can be found here: ********************************************G. Y.

I cancelled within 30 days. You filed out court papers with info from my questionnaire. I DID NOT HAVE YOU FILE TO THE COURT. Therefore, I cancelled and expected a refund per your 30 days policy. Other complaints on BBB are people like me whom got scammed like me. I contacted AFFIRM to investigate and get their money back. Total scam to obtain payment without rendering FULL SERVICE.Review fromV. J

This business is all about robbing you for as much money as you can, they say it's 100 percent satisfaction guarantee and they say if you file a refund request within 30 days of purchases the service they will refund the full amount other then the ***** activation fee. But if you even answer one question on the questionnaire to fill out the divorce papers they will no longer refund the money, so basically you can only get a refund if you do absolutely nothing. I purchased the platinum service which is ****** and they still charge you ****** for the basic service. I was under the impression that they send the divorce papers to both myself and my spouse with the platinum service but that was not the case, so when I received my papers I requested a refund of the ****** for the platinum service, and they informed me since they sent the papers and since I filled out the questionnaire they will not refund it. I requested the refund long before 30 days, and the only thing they had done is send me the papers in the mail, which the only difference from the basic service is I download the papers if using basic, I filed the divorce on my own because I saw no reason to send papers back and fourth because it would take longer, and they justify keeping the 399 for platinum even though I didn't continue with the service, just because they mailed me some papers. They didn't even have to file the papers or do any part of their job for the platinum service. And they only let you speak to the refund people thru email. They would not transfer me to a refund department over the phone, nor would they let me speak to a supervisor, they are a complete scam company simply stealing your money for services they did not complete, and all they do over the phone is repeat a script and don't actually answer questions you ask outside of the script. Stay away from these people and file on your own if you value your time and money.OnlineDivorce.com

1 starHi, I just realized that this website has never stop charging me the super high storage fee, USD$39,99.The entire time I have paid USD$1,118.76 for this website, and has never get any assistance.I would like to request the refund for the period that I didnt log in or not being active on this website, cause I think the total fee is not reasonable.I end up hiring an attorney with lower cost and fully support to answer my question. This website is not helpful and not being responsible to keep as their promise. 100% customer satisfiation.Review fromJason S

This business employees, a bait and switch tactic. They advertise that for $159. You can complete your divorce. However, after paying that amount, then they offer further benefits for additional charges, this is after youre already locked into $159. Also, it is not very clear that $39.99 will be a monthly reoccurring charge for the platform subscription. This is a complete scam and I would stay away.OnlineDivorce.com
