In *************, **, we parked for 20 mins under signage of the lot behind Handels (6/25/25) stating if you were visiting that specific building, parking was free at that time. When we returned to our vehicle that evening (at 7:55PM), we noticed a ticket for parking under this sign. We looked all over for numbers in the spaces and did not see any when we parked. The company intentionally does not number spaces and placed the ones were supposed to park in on the complete opposite side of the parking lot of the establishment we visited. It was not visible, and not remotely close to the establishment we went to enter. Every effort was made to pay to park, if necessary, and we read this sign thoroughly. This is blatantly misleading and we should not received a violation given the good faith effort we took knowing parking was provided. I contacted the company and they reduced the fee to half, but it should have been credited 100%.Business Response

Dear Kathryn Batchelder,
I have been forwarded the complaint regarding
the above-referenced case number for review and response.
Based
on the notice number and documentation provided in your email correspondence to
both the BBB and Diamond Parking, it shows that your vehicle was parked in a
24/7 paid public parking stall located at 828 Honblend Street, San Diego, CA
92109
You first contacted our Parking Services
department on June 26, 2025, to appeal the notice. At that time, our customer
service representative explained that you were not parked in one of the
designated numbered stalls (47–77) that offer 2 hours of complimentary parking
for businesses located at 4475 Mission Blvd., where Handel’s Ice Cream is
located. Instead, your vehicle was parked in a 24/7 paid parking stall.
There are more than 12 signs posted
throughout the lot and at the entrances clearly outlining the parking rules.
The complimentary numbered stalls (47–77) are marked and located on the east
side of the lot.
At
this time, we will offer a one-time courtesy void for notice #1006731993 and issue a refund
of $31.50 pertaining to the reduction that you were given and have already
paid.
Sincerely,
DIAMOND

I parked at a lot owned by Diamond Parking Service on 6/20/2025 and followed instructions on their signage to submit payment using the Park Mobile application on my iPhone. The payment was made using Apple Pay, and I received a confirmation from ***** Pay that the appropriate amount of $5.35 was tendered to Diamond. Diamond is now claiming that I did not pay and is demanding $55.50-92.00. I have exchanged numerous emails with their support department and have provided them with a copy of the ApplePay receipt, but they are demanding that I provide more proof of payment. I have explained that I did not receive any notice from Diamond in the form of an email or text, suggesting that a problem exists with their system of recording payments from the Park Mobile app that they demand be used, or with their own accounting system. They continue to demand more information or payment despite my numerous attempts to explain that the payment was made, and that their must be an error in their process.Business Response

Hello
Mr. Waldrop,
I am
the Area Manager for Everett and handled your recent appeal. I received
the appeal on Saturday, June 28th and approved a void of that notice
on Sunday June, 29th. The reason the notice was issued and
consequently, our customer service department had difficulty finding proof of
payment was the license plate was entered with one mistake. The plate was
entered with the letter O rather than the number 0. A very common error
that can cause quite a bit of confusion. I do apologize for the
inconvenience and delay in resolution. Again, the notice has been voided
and no further action is needed on your part. Thank you and have a good
day.

Diamond parking has issued me a parking payment notice despite them being in violation of municipal bylaws. I received an $84 parking notice while parked in a lot attached directly to a free public parking lot with no clear or attempted divide. There were no signs in front of the stalls designating them as private or assigned, and only one general sign in a non-visible area at ground height tucked in a corner. The **** to enforce private parking is on the property owner and any attempt to collect payment or, even more egregiously towing vehicles while not meeting a legally required standard is unprofessional and unlawful.Business Response

Hello,
Our
goal with any customer, is to provide the reason the notice was issued, find a
mutual resolution and to prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private
property, not public municipal parking, and has the parking rules posted
throughout the lot. It is to be monitored at the request of the property
manager, and Diamond Parking is provided a list of specific rules and is contracted
to enforce by ticketing and/or towing based on the challenges the location
faces due to unauthorized use. I have reviewed this notice and see it was
issued for unauthorized parking – as the vehicle was not registered.
There are multiple signs behind the vehicle advising of the rules/restrictions.
Should the posted rules not be followed the vehicle is at risk of being
ticketed and/or towed at the vehicle owners expense as this is private
property. All visitors are required to sign in through the virtual online
registration system *immediately upon arrival as per Strata Board/Property
Management, regardless of how long the vehicle is parked for. All tenants are
informed of this requirement, and the patroller gave a 10-minute grace time
before issuing the notice. I see that the notice was appealed online and
cancelled as a one-time courtesy. Thank you.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 23508112, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, you should know that even private parking lots that are not run by the municipality must comply with local bylaws in order to enforce via towing or tickets. There was only one, ground level sign despite what you are claiming and absolutely nothing in front of or behind the parking stalls. If this is not your responsibility, maybe you should let your client know.

I parked at a lot operated by Diamond Parking in ******* located at ********************************. ********** has a relationship and offers free parking in that lot as long as you register. I registered my car online using their system.I wound up receiving a ticket. The ticket had instructions to reply by email within 5 days. I replied explaining the situation.Despite the fact that I was entitled to free parking, Diamond is attempting to charge me a "Notice Fee" of "$26.48 including taxes and fees." They claim that I broke their terms and conditions but I don't understand how that's possible. Either way, I was entitled to park there for free, so it doesn't make sense to be charged now!Since I was entitled to park there for free, the "fee" seems outrageous.Business Response

Hello Thomas,
I sincerely apologize that you encountered a complication
with the validation system. All customers must correctly validate through their
license plate to receive complimentary parking. Without proper validation, a
payment is required which is displayed under the validation code. As a one time
courtesy, we have voided the notice and encourage proper validation to avoid
future occurrences.

I am filing a complaint against Diamond Parking Services for issuing a parking violation notice (Ref# **********) on June 5, 2025, at ********************************************* I had paid for parking at that exact time and location through a different provider clearly indicated on signage at the lot. Diamond Parking was not identified anywhere as the official operator. The violation reason listed is "No Advanced (Fees)" an unclear and unprofessional explanation. The citation itself is printed in black and white, with low image quality and no official security features. Furthermore, the car make is listed as OTHE, suggesting the information was guessed or entered without proper verification.I believe this citation is either a scam or an unlawful action taken by Diamond Parking Services over a lot they do not manage. I have attached proof of valid payment and images of the signage showing another parking provider.I contacted the company by email but have not received a resolution. I am requesting BBBs assistance to:- Investigate the legitimacy of this citation,- Require Diamond Parking Services to void the notice,- Prevent similar misleading or predatory behavior in the future.Thank you for your help.Business Response

Good afternoon,
We offer at least 3 ways to pay on all our lots in Downtown
Anchorage ( Pay By Phone, Park Mobile, Park Whiz), which are all represented by
signage displayed throughout the lot. The customer used EasyPark to pay for
their parking, and they are a third-party vendor that is not associated with
Diamond Parking in Anchorage. Because of this, we were not able to locate a
payment for the customers vehicle in our license plate based system and issued
a parking citation for non-payment. 5037, the lot in question is owned and
managed by Diamond Parking and the citation that was issued is legitimate. The
customer was made aware of their mistake during the appeals process and was
offered a reduction on the citation.
Thank you,

This business issued my car a parking ticket on 06/05/2025. I parked in a *************** parking spot, as a *************** customer. I should not have been ticketed in the first place. I submitted a dispute to the company on 06/05/2025, immediately after I received the ticket. The company's website stated that they would respond to the dispute within 5 days, however it is currently 06/13/2025 and I have not received a response. My ticket is also still listed on their website.Business Response

Dear officer,Diamond Parking Company refused my dispute for a parking payment notice of Jun ******. The ref no. is ********. The notice is attached. The parking pay meter didnt work on that day (Jun ******) and the machine has been out of service so far today (Jun 10), the parking company knew the malfunction problem. It should be repaired as soon. Why we residents should be forced to use mobile phone to pay online only ? how about those seniors who arent familiar with mobile phone and those disabilities who cant use mobile phone ? Yes I am a senior.I tired to buy a parking ticket as possible as what I can, I asked help from customer ********************** of T&T supermarket, they said they could help me only once a day, maximum 1.5 parking hours could be reimbursed and only once a day. Thats why I have only one parking ticket as attached, I left the parking lot at 1pm. I wanted to buy 2 parking tickets but the parking meter didnt work and out of service, thats not my wrong. My license plate number is ******, I want to dispute the unreasonable notice, hope it could be cancelled because I was unable to use the meter due to the damage, thats the unique machine in the underground of (T&T supermarket, ************** ).I think the company got a maintenance notice during these days. I depend on the meter to buy parking tickets with this machine and I bought a lot before. The companys customer ********************** phone number is ************, I hope to resolve this unfair problem with them. Thanks!****Business Response

Hello
Our goal with any customer, is to
provide the reason the notice was issued, find a mutual resolution and to
prevent it from happening again in the future.
This location is private property
with clearly posted parking rules. While the parking meter provided by Omni
Group was not functioning (Diamond Parking is not responsible for the meter),
alternative payment options were available, such as scanning the QR code for
validation through T&T. Our records show that the appellant did utilize the
QR code validation for the initial 1.5 hours. However, their parking time
expired, and they did not extend their stay through the QR code or other
available payment options. Based on our evidence and the terms of use, we
believe that parking notice #12477755 was issued fairly. Nevertheless, we
appreciate the opportunity to review this matter further.

Complaint: 23451616, I don’t agree with this response because:
The parking company has an obligation to ensure payment machines work properly, as not every customer can use their mobile phones to pay, especially elders.
We don’t know who the meter is belong to. We think it is belong to the parking company as it sits in the parking lot, it is your responsibility to ensure it functions properly, we don’t mind discussing if a notice is fair and whose responsibility in front of the judge with lawyers.
I am elder from HongKong as I said before, I am not familiar with mobile phone operation. The initial parking fee is under the help of T&T customer service, not what I did, I couldn’t pay online and I can’t ask others’ help too often. It doesn’t mean I can use mobile phone to pay by myself.
After it expired, I went to the meter to buy a new parking ticket, but it didn’t work.
The meter worked on Jun 10, I bought one parking ticket but no receipt, please refer to attachment.
This meter still hasn’t been fixed so far, this issue brings inconvenience to our customers , now we don’t go to this place any more because the meter is unable to pay parking fee.
Please kindly investigate this matter fairly.
Thanks!

On June 4th at 6:08pm, I was cited a ticket for parking in a lot that has always been free for ****** customers. I arrived prior to 6pm to order dinner to take back home. I was inside of Dick's for around 10 minutes waiting for my meal to be prepared. When I was leaving, I discovered the parking lot attendant had issued myself and several other vehicles tickets. When I asked, he gestured toward the sign with the newly changed rule which states that parking is no longer free after 6PM for Dick's Customers. Keep in mind, this lot has signs that also state that certain stalls are always paid parking and then there are specific parking spots just for ****** customers. I parked in the spot specific to Dick's as my trip there was just to order food and leave. I didn't leave Dick's. I didn't go across the street and do other things. I was there to order food and parked in a lot that has been free for ****'s customers for over 10 years. The ticket I received for being parked 8 minutes past 6pm was $75.50. My $20 meal turned into a $100 ordeal. Diamond Parking is one of the most predatorial businesses in the city of *******. It is a stain on the city that needs to be seriously audited for their poor business ethics and practices. It is beyond unreasonable to not have a ***** period after 6pm for those already inside the business waiting for their food. It is beyond unreasonable to subtly change parking lot rules without the courtesy of a warning about the new policy. Diamond Parking is clearly trying to "pull a fast one" for a quick cash grab. I demand that this ticket be completely dismissed as a warning for their new policy. Otherwise, Diamond Parking is admitting that they only exist to prey upon the community which allows their business to operate. Diamond Parking's website states that "they care". I have yet to see or hear any evidence that is true.Business Response

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We understand your frustration. The Dicks parking lot is located near several businesses that do not have their own parking, and many individuals use Dicks lot while shopping or dining at nearby restaurants.
We always strive to assist our customers and Dicks alike. For Dicks customers, if they provide proof of dining or pickup, we always void the parking notice.
In this case, the parking notice has been voided as a courtesy. If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact us at any time.
Thank you!
