On May 26th, I got a parking ticket from Diamond Parking. I work at ******** which is located in that private property. I sent my pay stub as a proof. My fine was reduced from $83.15 to $40.00.I called Diamond parking and I was told that I need to submit my schedule as well to show them. I work for Geek Squad and we have set days but the customer ********************** *** was not listening. We DO NOT GET PAPER schedule. She was extremely rude and un-helpful. This company is just a robber. They rob employees out of their money.Business Response

Hello,
As stated on the signage, this is free parking while conducting business on the property (or working). Leaving the lot without your vehicle for any reason will result in a notice being issued. This is the second notice to this vehicle for the same reason. The first was voided as a courtesy.
It was stated that they went to the hospital. Staff is not exempt from parking rules. The notice was issued before 7am. The mall does not open until 10am . Disrespectful and foul language to our representatives is never tolerated. We do have notes on file and have listened to voice messages.
We did reduce the notice as courtesy if paid by end of day June 3, 2025. This was not met. We will extend one last courtesy with and extension until the end of day June 6, 2025.
Regards,

On 5/16/2025, while visiting my daughter in *******, I parked in the lot located at ****************, which is opposite her apartment. I scanned the ** code on a board attached to the building on the lot, which opened the "ParkWhiz" app on my phone. I was presented with a list of options and selected 5 hours, for which I paid $20.96. My parking started at 7.04 PM.When I returned to the lot at around 8 PM, Diamond Parking had, at 7.27 PM, left a non-payment notice on my vehicle for $75.50. When I checked the emailed receipt from ParkWhiz which I received later that evening (attached), it showed both a different parking company (LAZ parking), and gave the address of a lot located at *******************, a lot I have never used at any time. I sent this information to Diamond, but they denied my request to cancel their notice.I returned to the lot on the evening of 5/21 to recheck the parking payment sign. It appears to have changed. The sign I used on 5/16 had only a ** code. The sign I photographed on 5/21 had both an App Clip code and a ** code. The 5/21 ** code opened ParkWhiz on my phone, and showed completely different options than those I had seen on Friday. They showed the correct parking company and lot.I don't know what happened with the parking payment signs displayed at the lot. Perhaps switching these signs is someone's idea of a prank? The fact remains that I DID pay for parking using the board and ** code attached to the wall of the building on 5/16. I had the reasonable expectation that the board would be that associated with the correct parking company, and the ** code would be for the lot I was parked in. I am willing to pay Diamond whatever they should have received for parking on 5/16, but consider it unfair to be asked to pay $75.50 when I had attempted to comply with the payment requirement using the signage displayed.Business Response
Date: 05/23/2025
Hi ****,
Thank you very much for the feedback. I am at a loss to what happened that evening as LAZ Parking is one of our competitors and, as you recognized, the payment went to a completely different parking lot that was not associated to where your vehicle was parked
We have verified the signage in the lot that you parked, and they all belong to the correct Diamond Parking location and do not bring up LAZ Parking. As you wrote, it sounds like a sign was mistakenly put there and then removed. It appears that LAZ Parking was able to receive an erroneous and extra payment that evening.
I see that our Parking Services ***************************** did reach out earlier today and had offered to reduce the amount to $25.24 from the original $75.50. Due to all this confusion and your time spent, I have authorized the Parking Notice to be waived as we appreciate you being a current and future ****** in our location when you visit your daughter.
Please reach out to me directly if you find any other strange signage in the location as I want to ensure that this was a one-off issue. We will also continue to monitor the location.
Thanks,
**** *****

I was in ******* on 5/17 Saturday by the Ferry Terminal with my family. We drove into Diamond Parking Lot (A578-**************************) around 11am. After we drove into the lot, our group had change of mind about whether to stay at water front near the ************** or somewhere else since it was raining that morning. So we pulled into a space for like 1 min while we were deciding to stay or leave. We decided to leave so we were trying to back out of the space and there was a man standing blocking our car so we could not back out. And this guy ended up being a Diamond Parking person who blocked our car so he could take photo and print out the ticket. I paid for the ticket right away since I did not want to forget it and get the ticket amount to go higher but more I think about this, this is just a SCAM. You can't block a car that is trying to get out of the lot without parking and give ticket when we decided to not park there and go somewhere else. I would like a refund of the ticket I paid. My daughter was given a ticked minutes after my time expired as she was on her way down to feed this meter because we set a timer. This attendant had to of watched and waited in order to be there right when it expired. We were down within minutes as the hospital was busy so it took time getting back down. I put a dispute in immediately and NO response and now if I get stuck paying this outrageous late fee because I didnt get a response Im going to flip out. I want to know why we were targeted in this day and age you never know why. I dont mind paying when Im wrong but again Im talking within 3min of expiring ticket was on and attendant was gone. They had to of been waiting and watching.Business Response

Thank you for taking the time to relay your recent parking experience with us. I understand the frustration with receiving a parking notice.
In regards to your concern of the timing of the notice, I assure you that while our patrols are repeated and periodic to each location, they are not targeted to any particular customers or vehicles. Looking at your particular notice, I can see that you paid for parking on 5/14/2025 from 11:35AM-1:36PM and the notice issued to your vehicle was at 1:54PM, almost 20 minutes after the expiration of your parking time.Additionally, for future reference, with mobile payments such as the one you had made, there is no need to go back to the parking lot to feed the meter, you can simply extend your time or purchase a new session from the same parking app through which you did the initial payment. The app/site will even have a history to remind you the location code and vehicle plate you used in your most recent transaction.
As a courtesy, I have reduced your existing notice to $5.00 + processing and handling fees.
Thank you again for relaying your concerns, we are always looking for insight into evaluating and improving our parking experiences and will take your comments into consideration moving forward!
Sincerely,
****** *****

**Subject:** Formal Complaint Regarding Unfair Parking Ticket #********* Dear Parking Authority/Department, I am writing to formally dispute the unjust parking ticket (#*********) issued to me on [date] at [location]. The citation claims my meter was expired at the time of issuance, but the circumstances surrounding the ticket were unethical and deceptive. 1. **Active Obstruction:** My meter was valid until 12:29 PM, and I returned to my vehicle by 12:30 PM. However, your employee physically blocked my access to the meter/vehicle, deliberately delaying me. 2. **Unnecessary Delay:** The officer further stalled by demanding proof of payment, refusing to allow me to add time, and only issued the ticket at 12:34 PMafter creating the very violation they cited. 3. **Lack of Due Process:** The demand for payment within 5 days under threat of a steep penalty, with no ***** period or reasonable appeal process, is punitive and unjust. This behavior constitutes entrapment and bad faith enforcement. I request immediate dismissal of the $61 fine and a review of this officers conduct. Please provide instructions for a formal appeal if dismissal is not granted.Business Response

Dear ****** ***,
Thank you for reaching out about your parking notice. We understand your concerns regarding reference number ********** for License Plate ******.
**Active Obstruction:** You mentioned being blocked after your meter was valid until 12:29 PM, but your vehicle was parked past that time, and the notice was issued at 12:34 PM. This is a one way in and one way out property.
**Unnecessary Delay:** While we appreciate your viewpoint, our team was verifying payment, and you were given a chance to correct the issue before the notice was issued.
**Lack of Due Process:** We understand your frustration with the five-day payment notice. We strive to handle situations fairly. If you'd like to formally appeal, please let us know, and we'll be happy to assist. We have a team of Parking Service members that regularly interact with clients and dismiss or reduce notices depending on the situation. The goal is always to teach the ****** and to encourage compliance for future visits so that we can make sure the property owners are properly compensated. We see that this is your third parking notice with us,and hope that you are able to continue parking as a compliant customer moving forward.
We regularly survey our signage and make sure that we have more than the state requirement that is to have signs posted at the entrance of the parking lot. Our signs include phone numbers to contact us, the parking rules that relate to the lot, and any applicable methods of payment.
I see that you made payment on the parking notice on 05/15/2025 and there is no further obligation due. Again please do not hesitate to reach out if you ever need assistance parking or to appeal a notice.
We apologize for any inconvenience during your visit.
Thank you for your understanding!Initial Complaint

I got an email from EVO car share saying I was shared $111 for a ticket issued by Diamond Parking. I called *** to let them know it was a mistake since I never received any ticket under the windshield. They told me Diamond Parking sends the tickets electronically to *** and they pay the ticket and charged the renter extra fees, not giving the renter the chance to pay or dispute their own parking ticket. I had no knowledge of even receiving a ticket, I find it incredibly suspicious that every other company leaves a ticket under the windshield except for Diamond Parking and Id like my money back.Business Response

Hello,
Please note the ticket was issued for exceeding the allotted time in a 1 hour stall. The tires were chalked, and a notice was left on the windshield (please see attached photos)which is always our standard practice. The vehicle is registered to *** (******************) and the ticket was paid by them. Any agreement on where the vehicle is previously arranged to be left parked is not a Diamond Parking matter. I parked in their SoHo lot and intended to pay for approximately 1.5 hours. However, their website only offered me two options: 1 hour or 11 hours. I attempted to manually adjust the end time, but the system would not allow ***** a result, I paid for 1 hour, assuming I would be able to extend the time later. Unfortunately, this was not possible without downloading their app. I was unable to do this on-site, as I did not have access to WiFi. Im not even certain the app would have allowed for an extension had I been able to download it.After receiving a "Parking Payment Notice" I filed a dispute. Reference # **********. They responded saying: "The payments options are in error. There are supposed to be options for every hour up to 10 hours and a flat evening rate for 12 hours, so this was due to an error in the app."Yet, in their very next email to me they said: "Notice ********** was issued correctly as the vehicle in question had broken our terms and conditions for parking in this location. As a one-time courtesy, we have reduced the amount of this notice to the lowest acceptable payoff amount. Based on past reductions and voids, we may not offer additional voids or reductions going forward (if this is the case, all notices will stand as is). There is no half hour rate available."They've given me no reassurances that they would correct the error with ParkWhiz.I think this may be a scam to charge an astronomical rate for their parking. I would like them to void my parking notice altogether and show proof that they are rectifying the error in the parking system. Either use a new system or make sure ParkWhiz fixes the issue.Business Response

On May 7th, I parked using the Park Mobile app providing me with 3 hours of free parking. (I have pictures of my history on the app) I started the app at 11:00 a.m. and left at 1:00 p.m. On my car I received at ticket from Diamond Parking Services for $76.50. If not paid in 5 days it doubles in price. The ticket states I can only reply by email. I HAVE SENT 5 EMAILS THAT COME BACK THAT IT IS A POSTMASTER FAILURE. I found a phone number online and have phoned twice. I only get a voice mail.Customer Answer
