      An Ecoshield Pest Control salesperson came up my driveway and offered to sell me a year's worth of pest control services for $180 on or around May 22, 2024. I told him I wasn't interested in a contract but would be willing to try them for one month and then make a decision about continuing. He then wrote up an order on his portable device and then said sign here. I told him I wasn't going to sign a contract and he said, "No, this is for the credit card". On the following Monday the service guy came out and performed a service. I noted that he did not do some of the services I was told would occur like spraying the yard, searching the house for rodent signs, or removing bee's nests. My credit card was charged $206.58 for my $180 service. When they called to confirm another quarterly appointment I decided to cancel the service. After a very long conversation I was told I couldn't cancel because I signed a contract. I demanded to cancel because they were trying to defraud me. I was finally told that I could cancel if I paid the remaining contract fees and a penalty fee which I refused to do. Now I am receiving constant reminders of the money they say I owe ($230.62) and are threatening to turn it over to a collections agency. I have been scammed and I want my account closed. At no time did I receive any paperwork or copy of a supposed contract. All communication has been by email or text message.

      I originally contacted EcoShield to address a general pest concern with several pests that have been a nuisance. Their team came out, and during their assessment, they stated they would return in about a week to handle the ant eggs. But EcoShield did not return. The next time they came out was after a few months had passed, our ant problems still persisted. Again they stated theyd be back in a week to handle the ant eggs. And wouldnt you know it, EcoShield DID NOT RETURN. EcoShield DID return next quarter, where they did not address our prior issue at all, they did not change the traps that were set, our wasp/bee problems still persisted. I requested a stoppage of service due to a lack of actual results. Now they are charging me for cancellation of service. And threatening to send me to collections for refusing to pay them for not providing the services they promised(false advertising, deceptive business practices). Further they are refusing to reply to my messages regarding this issue. This is unacceptable.

      On 4/18/2024 I had ****** knock on my door to say that he services several neighbors of mine( I'm now doubting this and will be talking to my neighbors) and asked if we have had any issues with pests. We had just moved in and had seen ants here and there so I said yes, he looked around and I told him I would have to talk to my husband. I then signed a 36-month contract for quarterly maintenance, they waived the start-up fee because my husband was a previous client at our old house and had just moved. Our first service was on 4/19 and I had two gentlemen come. Once bait was set up, the other was outside getting webs and wasps nested down. A few days later we had ants coming from our bathroom sinks, and shower heads and moved to more rooms. We paid $208 for this service for more ants. Our next service was on 5/13 and they again found more wasp nest but they just cleared those three weeks ago. This service was another $208. A few days later we had ants coming out of our light fixtures more rooms and on my couch. We had two free touch-*** and the problem continued to get worse. I called to cancel because they were in my cupboards and children's room. The customer service *** continued to tell me it was because I had a toddler. NO, Then I was told I would be charged a commitment fee of $211, I wrote an email disagreeing with this because of the service. She then told me I had a balance and needed to pay today. I told her no. I have photos of these ants, we have taken down a play set and got rid of my kid's toys as they were covered. I got a new company in and have not seen one ant in my house. The *** would speak over me and just tell me I owe money. I am so disappointed in the now up to a thousand dollars plus for having this service done. We have more bugs around my house than we ever had. I want this fee waived.

For situations like these were information can be quickly ran through or mistakenly missed, we send out a welcome to the family text highlighting the three most important details of our contract, which lists the type of contract you are on, the billable cycles, and the cancellation process which states if you decide to term your contract, you are responsible for paying back the discount given to you at the time of service. All of this information was sent in a text which was acknowledged and agreed to when you responded  "Yes" to that message. 

      Given the situation, I am truly empathetic and want to part ways in good standing. With this being said, I am going to do a one time courtesy waive for your remaining balance on the account as an act in good faith.       I was on a year plan with the company to pay quarterly $179 for services, at end of the contracted period I called in April to cancel services. They transferred me to loyalty department to try and keep my services and offered various discounts, I still wanted to cancel as I was cutting down on expenses they offered at $60 so I said fine and they took me off auto payment. Come 7/5/24 the service was scheduled I received a bill for $131.42 , spoke with customer service and informed I was offered a $44 price drop and $60 one time discount, the worker in April deceptively told me the price would be $60 for services NOT dropped by a 1 time discount of $60 and misled me to keep me on their services. **************** keeps repeating the same thing over and over that no it's 1 time discount and I owe $131.42 which I did NOT agree too and again had TRIED to quit services altogether in April 2024 , I need this resolved I am not paying this misled price that was a bait and switch in my opinion. I was fed a $60 price plus taxes which was the agreement and what I expect to pay no more and I want all services canceled!

      I receievd notice of closure on case ID number ********, there has been no resolution on the case, I haven't heard from the company. They kept harassing me for payment so I paid it, but was offered absolutely zero resolution on the case.

      The kids came to the house. They were very sweet and I told them that they could do a one time treatment only - that I wouldn't do any ongoing treatment. They agreed and I pqyed for that service. Next thing I knew I was getting bills in the email and then I get a collection notice. They were only out here the one time in April. I have called them repeatialy and mailed them letters. I am older and feel that I am being taken advantage of. I have never been taken to a collection agency and am upset about the **** on my credit They say I owe them $219.00. Can you help me.

      I had a very pushy salesman come to my door in a private gated community which also does not allow soliciting. The salesman would not leave and accept no for an answer and I was very busy, so I ended up agreeing so he would finally leave. He originally said the service was normally over $400 but they are having a promotion and I could have it done for $206.96 after tax and I could cancel at anytime without any fees. The next day the technician came to our house and performed the first of 2 visits they said were needed for initial treatment. Once my neighbor saw their truck in our driveway, they showed my wife several posts on our community page about their salesman going door to door harassing everyone even after 9pm, and also cursing at them and being very rude and disrespectful when they told him no and asked him to leave. It was because of this we decided to cancel and no longer support a company whose employees acted this way with very bad ethics. Once we finally canceled after over an hour on the phone with more pushy sales reps not accepting no as an answer, they told us we owed $231.05, because we had to pay the full amount for the service instead of the discount rate if we wanted to proceed with canceling our next scheduled service. We should not be charged this fee because it is a retaliation charge for canceling their service. It is a cancellation fee that they just named something else in order to get around their original promise. This company severely lacks ethics.

      This business is unbelievably misleading and unethical in its sales tactics. Despite the "no soliciting" sign clearly posted, I was disturbed by the EXTREMELY LOUD and ***etitive knocking by their sales *** who came to my door completely unsolicited. He knocked three times when I didn't answer the first time. I listened to his sales pitch, and decided to give them a shot because I was not liking my current service provider. At NO point did he mention a contract was involved. He actually told me explicitly that it was pay as you go and they were offering a discount to people who switched. I signed up for my first service, and I have never regretted signing up for a service more in my life. They sent a tech out twice in the first month for some reason. I decided after the first month that I wanted to cancel, and when I let them know, I was immediately hit with a barrage of calls, texts and emails, none of which I opted in to. When I called them back to cancel service, they offered me a 10% discount, then a 25% discount, then a 50% discount. I said I still wanted to cancel. The lady then got aggressive and informed me that I would have to pay the difference between my discounted rate and the full rate which was like $220 in order to get out of my contract. Again, I never signed up for a contract. After reading reviews, I am clearly not the only person who has experienced these tactics and I am honestly worried that they will not let me cancel when my year is up. Please do something to stop them.

      On 6/24/2024, a sales person, *****************************, from Ecoshield Pest Solutions, came to our house and convinced me that we had rodents in our crawl space under our house. He showed me a picture (of what he said was a picture of OUR crawl space). In talking with neighbors who had the same salesperson bothering them that day say they found that when they had another pest control company come out and do the same inspection, they had NO rodent activity under their house! The picture was taken at another location at another time and it was not OUR crawl space! We did the same thing, hiring another licensed company to inspect our crawl space. That company (tech took a picture with my camera this time). No such rodent damage in our crawl space. Deceitful sales practice! Were getting out of our contract and will file a complaint with the state attorney general office.

      On June 12, 2024, a door to door salesman from Ecoshield Pest Solutions stopped by my house and talked to me in the front yard about their pest control. He told me I could have 4 pest and one egg cycle treatment over the course of 1 year for $189.00. He never said it was $189.00 for each of the 5 treatments! Being an 82 year old senior and a novice with computers, on June 26, 2024, I finally found the contract he emailed as an attachment to an email with no mention in the email that there was an attachment. After reading the contract, I discovered they were going to charge $189.00 + tax for each of the five treatments. On June 27, 2024, I called customer service and explained the problem, including the fact I was only shown the contract in bright sunlight on a cell phone which was impossible to read. I said I wanted to cancel my contract because of the misrepresentation by Ecoshield's salesperson. I asked him to waive the cancellation fee of $211.00 plus tax. My conversation with customer service ended at 9:36 AM with the representative hanging up on me and sending me a bill for the cancellation fee of $230.41 at 10:43 AM the same day.
