1 starAWFUL. I ordered one outdoor blanket this winter and another over the summer. Due to poor construction the first broke before it could even be used and they offered to send me a replacement. I was sent a free label to return the first item and they price matched a second blanket for the replacement order. The second arrived damaged. I called and was told I could return this as well.Unfortunately whoever returned the first blanket didn't bother to check the *** and original order number and refunded this item as though it was the new order. Now I have confirmation that the second blanket was received by them but they have not refunded this item. I returned TWO items and was only refunded for ONE because their employees cannot read simple package labels. I called and due to language barriers and comprehension issues with their outsourced customer service I still have no resolution. I asked for a supervisor and was first refused and then told I'd get a "call back" - never happened. I have had to make three calls now and each lasted over 45 minutes with no resolution.Between all the calls associated with these two items and the emails it's very frustrating. I have wasted so much time on what should have been a simple return. It's really terrible to have to spend so much of my time on a simple return like this. Eddie Bauer has effectively stolen money from me. They have both items back (and two separate packages/tracking numbers for my returns they approved) but will only refund one. Despicable customer service. I'd like to return everything I've ever bought from them. They have lost a customer!Review fromLeslie F

1 starMy first order I paid for second day air shipping. 4 days later the order had still not been shipped. A customer service agent told me that I would be receiving it August 23rd although I had ordered August 10th. My second replacement order I paid for overnight shipping. **************** sent it to the wrong address. I have spent 2 hours on the phone today and the customer service agents can't even figure out what is going on with my account and I have been put on hold for more than 30 minutes at a time. I've attempted to speak with supervisors who are very difficult to understand and who were unable to figure out what was wrong. I am leaving on a trip to ****** without the clothing I need for my outdoor activities. **************** at ********************** is no longer viable for me for ************* needs.Review fromAnissa K

1 starThoroughly Disappointed In My Brand. After thousands of dollars spent on Eddie Bauer clothes and accessories, I had to give it up today for a principle matter and the way loyal and dedicated customers were treated with the rewards program. I WAS a huge fan. I placed an order on 7/2/2023 to meet the next reward level of Guide on 7/8, only to be downgraded back to Explorer on 7/10. There was no warning to customers. I spend a lot of money with Eddie Bauer and found this tactic to be VERY DISAPPOINTING. I voiced my opinion, but they showed no concern and blew me off...guess loosing one GREAT customer doesn't voice any concern to **********************. 1 starAa package was delayed because of a **** mistake. The package reached ******* (same zip code of our home but different city) already but then transferred to ******, and we couldn't get the package by the day we left for ******. The customer support (online) said I could return the package to the local store, so my wife went there to return after she went back to the US. The store didn't accept the return saying they need my original card, which was not mentioned in the return email or the return label at all. My wife didn't have my card and I was still in ******. Then they said they can process it with my wife's ID and card, but when my wife provided them she was refused again because her last was different from mine.We think this is a serious discrimination as not all cultures would require husband and wife to have same last nameReview fromMike P

1 starUsed to be an Eddie Bauer fanboy, but I'll never buy EB again. Won't honour return policy as stated on website. Low quality clothing. Yes, very comfy but don't be fooled. I bought Eddie Bauer due to the comfort and the "amazing quality guarantee." I bought 3 pairs of pants, 3 pairs of shorts and a down jacket. Over $500 in items. Every single one of them was falling apart well within the range where clothes of this price point should, some within 2 or 3 wearings. The website says that if you return items over a year old and/ or without receipt that have workmanship or defect issues that you can only return for an exchange. The store stated that they don't recognize this and only return items that were purchased within 1 year and with proof of purchase. I have this in writing. The lady literally said that the website says that but they've been instructed not to honour it.Issues: 1) **************** pockets fail. This is a high wear area. Don't use the cheapest stitching method known to mankind. 2) zippers. Extremely cheap zippers. Don't buy a $250 down jacket expecting it to last more that 2 years. Like zippers in your pants that fall down faster than the acceleration of gravity? Buy Eddie Bauer.Review fromT.K.

1 starIf I could give no stars to the customer service representative and ********************** I would. The Call was absolutely terrible and unprofessional. I was told by Eddie Bauer rep before to call on 14th if I didn't receive my coat I ordered for my son. ******* said I still needed to wait until the 18th and later changes it to the 19th which made me angry. I llace the order on 12/30 and it was shipped on 1/3. By the time I actually get this coat it will probably be on clearance. It have been stuck in ********* since 1/5 And tracking shows no movement since. I asked for another coat to be sent and ******* said no. I asked for a refund and she said no until the 18th and changed her mind and said the 19th. I asked for a coupon or something for our troubles to keep my faith in Eddie Bauer and she answered no. I told her I felt that Eddie Bauer was holding my money hostage and she responded, yeah! Like she agreed and she showed no sympathy to my troubles. Then I asked for a supervisor to speak to and she said that there was no supervisor and that their was nothing she could do. I was irate as I am helpless and ******* and Eddie Bauer are no help to me and have treated my so badly. I am making a complaint to Better Business Bureua and plan to never order online from Eddie Bauer again. I feel disrespected and that Eddie Bauer does not care about their customers. 1 starI purchased a jacket about 3 years ago. Due to an item defect, it has become unusable. Eddie Bauers website claims, All products that are deemed defective without proof of purchase, as well as defective products older than one year, are only eligible for exchange or replacement with a similar item. I brought my defective item to my local store and was told that Eddie Bauer no longer honors this guarantee despite me showing them the website. They then stated, in my case, if I could find something similar for $69.99 or more (Id pay the difference), I could have a discount. This is not what the website states, and it is dishonest and misleading business practice. I called customer service and was given the run around and told that it was up to manager discretion whether or not they would honor it despite no mention of this on the website.Review fromErnestine C

1 starHorrible!!!! First the order I placed was sent to another state, listing an address in no way similar to mine. Then customer service tracked it, told ime it could NOT be replaced, and I would receive a full refund, but would not send me a email confirming this statement (but I have the Chat). I opened a investigation with my bank, after which surprisingly they sent the order weeks later, while also approving my banks refute, and approving the refund. I found out from the bank about the refund approval, and tried to get a return receipt from the Eddie Bauer company, which they kept saying it was sent it, but see nothing in my email. A survey was sent about my experience, but if you open it a warning comes up saying "NOT SAFE". Also since this investigation has started, I have now been bombarded with fake emails from companies, and also lewd emails that I feel are connected with them. I believe this company needs to investigated, permanently closed, sanctioned, and license removed. I wish I never did business with them, nor do I wish anyone else have to go through this situation.Review fromKristin M

1 starI had the worst customer experience of my life with **********************. I've been a loyal customer for years. I placed a large order on November 11th. I received a notification on November 15th that my order had shipped. But for weeks, the status remained "Shipping label created; A delivery date will be provided when we receive your package from the shipper." I know packages get lost and that's not necessarily the fault of Eddie Bauer. But how they handled it is their fault. Calling Eddie Bauer's customer service is a painful experience. I would know, I've had to call several times to get this resolved. Every time I've called, the customer service rep has had great difficulty understanding the problem. I was told I had to wait until December 2nd to see if the package arrived, even though the status remained the same. I called back on December 2nd and was finally told I could have a refund but it's now December 17th and I still haven't received it. I called this morning yet again and had to explain the situation several times for the customer service rep to understand what happened. I was told I could expect the refund in 3-5 business days but I was also told that 14 days ago. Fingers crossed I get my refund for items I never received.Review fromCharles L

1 starI requested three times that Eddie Bauer cancel an order because it would not arrive on time. Each time I received a message that said, in part, "Regrettably, we were not able to complete your request because it shipped on December 12, 2022." Note that today's date is December 8, 2022. They sent me this same message on December 5th and twice on December 6th. Note also that on each response the entire text of the message was identical despite the fact that it was claimed to have been written by an actual person. I tried to explain that December 12 was in the future but they did not respond to my comments and instead sent the same message, verbatim. My conclusion is that Eddie Bauer is using bots but claiming that they are human beings.Finally, today I tried to chat with Eddie Bauer about this. They "hung up" the chat on me, twice.Eddie Bauer's customer service is worse than unacceptable. This needs to stop.
