      I created an account with ********************** and used the Apple login feature as well as the hide my email. I made a booking and never received the confirmation email (which should be forwarded to my real email). The property I booked was noted to be 'pet friendly' and the description included that there may be some leashing/crating requirements (which is pretty standard). I reached out to the property manager and confirmed if my pet would be allowed and all that was mentioned was a $100 pet fee. So I made the booking. What wasn't included in the ad was that pets are not allowed on any beds/furniture as well as any external communication/ agreement from the property manager. So since I wasn't on the lookout for anything additional, I thought everything was all set. I had a road trip from ****** to ******** to stay at this place however the property manager said they sent me an email (which I did not receive after speaking with ***** for several hours it was determined because it was from an outside source and only the verified party through the app store would be able to push messages). As VRBO never collected my proper email I was left out of the dark of said notice until I directed the property manager to my direct email.VRBO should be responsible for collecting the proper user data as well and ensuring things are kept within their platform. How do I know this email is legit (not a phishing attempt) and what does VRBO do to verify so? How are they aware of outside contact/conversation as well as the host not providing their email in said description. A property should not be able to be listed as 'pet friendly', as agreed by the VRBO team however since the property was managed with other software VRBO said they cannot assist. How can you not have any authority of your own platform??? Their support team has 0 knowledge of the platform as well (as I tried to verify a few other things). STAY FAR AWAY from this app before you get scammed too.

      First and foremost, the company has low standards and is completely unprofessional.I have in writing through the chat a 50% refund was warranted and would be applied. The property owner then refused (which is understandable) but she also went so far as to call me a loser, terrible spouse and so many more insults its hard to count.I cant even leave a bad review because they remove it.The company has been harassing me through chat for a week now rubbing in my face that they wont refund and theres nothing I can do because I am a loserIt is completely unacceptable to treat people like this.

      ******** customer service! I used my ******************** points to book through them for a vacation property while I was down south trying to get my kids enrolled in college. The property in question which I rented as a vacation property was owner occupied and was obviously not a vacation property. They even had the dates wrong for my booking despite the fact that I showed them my email confirmation with the correct date they even had to get dressed to come to the door. When I went to complain about the property to the company, they gave me a giant middle finger and basically told me I was SOL. They took the side of the owner who was being dishonest, saying that it was the cleaning crew only I dont know of a single cleaning person who needs to get dressed to come to the door put kid toys away in the living room and doesnt have a vehicle to move around cleaning supplies on top of all of this the property was an obvious illegal subdivision as there was a park model home in the back of the house, something as far as I am, aware, isnt even supposed to be in the state of ****** unless its grandfathered in and this one is a newer building. Do not do business with VRBO.

      I booked a property through Expedia, which apparently processed the reservation through VRBO. After the booking was confirmed and I paid in full, the host contacted me to inform me that the property was actually not available during the time I had booked it.This disrupted my travel plans and forced me to search for alternative accommodations at the last minute when prices are typically much higher. To make matters worse, the host has still not officially canceled the reservation through the platform, and Expedia is now asking me to provide proof that the host said the place was unavailable.I should not be penalized or required to prove anything in a situation where the host failed to honor the booking and Expedia/VRBOs platform allowed an unavailable listing to be reserved. This is a host initiated cancellation and the platform should have handled it directly.Despite multiple attempts to cancel through the system, I was not able to do so. The platform continues to hold my money for a service that was never delivered.I am requesting a full and immediate refund for the reservation and accountability from Expedia/VRBO for allowing this to happen. Their failure to verify availability and enforce timely host responses has caused significant financial and personal inconvenience.

      Been a customer for quite awhile. Currently have an issue with a vrbo property manager who charged me twice and placed a hold on my debit card even though reservation was canceled. It has been 10 days, over $2000 is being held. I have contacted property manager/owner, VRBO, my bank and no one is helping. This is ridiculous and fraud.

      Unacceptable Support from VRBO , Home Damaged, Property Stolen, Zero Accountability From June 29, 2025, I hosted a guest through VRBO. What followed was an absolute nightmare and VRBO has done nothing to help.The guest blatantly violated house rules by bringing in unauthorized people, smoking inside (covering smoke detectors with trash bags), and initiating a fraudulent chargeback while still in my home. VRBO told me the funds would be held during the investigation, yet the money was withdrawn from my account in under 24 hours, leaving my account over $1,000 negative.After I informed the guest Id contact law enforcement if they didnt resolve the issue, they fled on camera with thousands of dollars worth of my personal property.Heres what I found:Urine stains and odor on my sheepskin rug, couch, and mattress Blood stained sheets A pipe used for meth, heroin, or crack left in my bathroom My locked closet broken into and stolen items, including:1 Dior handbag ($6,700)Samsung Galaxy S22 ($1,200)North Face jacket, designer jeans, luxury shoes, cologne bottles Damages including:Cracked 65" TV Slashed computer accessories Wall physically cut or sawed open Over 30 cigarette butts on the balcony Soiled and sticky floors, destroyed humidifier and headphones I provided VRBO with police reports, Ring camera footage, photos, receipts, and ongoing documentation. Their response? ********** help with the ************* compensation for damages or ******** accountability for the safety of hosts on their platform.I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with VRBOs inaction. They failed to protect me, failed to enforce their own policies, and left me financially devastated.If you're a host considering listing on VRBO beware. You are on your own when things go wrong.

      VRBO definitely does not help the customers and allows the host to scam you. My stay was in ************* and the host was ******* ******** . They allowed him to charge me an additional cleaning fee for a soda stain on a blanket that had to be washed . He blatantly lied and charged me for damages. VRBo has lost a customer in me. Their customer service just keeps you on the long for an egregious amount of time always promising to solve the problem but never do. The worst experience Ive ever had . Just be cautious when you rent with this host that he may just try to get extra money out of you

      VRBO sides with its hosts and never the guest or customer staying!********************** has made many empty promises to me over the course of a week and followed through with NONE OF THEM! But has allowed a foul-mouthed host refuse to refund our money for a stay the host canceled on us while we were standing on the property's porch trying to use a phone app to enter the property that the host informed us to download to access the property. However, the app doesn't integrate with VRBO properties and no matter how many times I have sent VRBO proof of this, they refuse to acknowledge that problem - which is fraudulent of the host to rent properties people cannot access only to take their money! I have tried everything and anything to reach a resolution with VRBO but again, they refuse to do anything. Making promises for "free one key cash to use on another future booking". They haven't followed through with returning calls, emails, reaching out in any way to help me (the customer) through their "book with confidence guarantee"Such a shame... I give them a rating of 0 out of 10, and will never use them again!!!

      # WARNING: Dangerous Property - Avoid at All Costs **UNSAFE CONDITIONS:** Cabin had serious electrical hazards and was filthy with dust everywhere. So dangerous we filed a police report and couldn't stay.**VRBO'S RESPONSE:** - Refused refund despite safety hazards - DELETED our review to hide the problems - Zero concern for guest safety **KIDS TRAUMATIZED:** Children were distressed by the shocking conditions.**BOTTOM LINE:** This property is genuinely dangerous. VRBO censors reviews and won't refund even for unsafe rentals. Book elsewhere - your family's safety isn't worth the risk.Police report on file documenting hazards.

      Will never book with Vrbo again. The worst company, and customer service is a joke. I rented a condo through them last week, and the storage closet on the patio where beach stuff is stored, had a busted pipe with water damage and the corroded leaking water heater. Which the host knew about, and never took repaired it correctly. So the ceiling in that closet has a giant crack and the ceiling is about to cave in, and black mold spreading every where in the closet. The condo was dirty and appliances, as if it hasnt been actually cleaned in years. Along with amenities not properly working, and I tried to resolve it with the host. I wanted a refund for the garbage they advertised. They gave me ****** We paid 1200 for 4days. I wanted all money back. Vrbo customer service even told me after reviewing my the info I sent to them, footage, and pictures. They told me that my issue was minor, and my opinion was invaluable. Obviously black mold is not a serious issue at all, and the slum lord that owns the property is not going to do anything but patch over it again. The customer service, serves no purpose, their are no supervisors, there is no **************** Just random people picking up and rotating.
