I am the CEO of *****************. I contracted Northwest Registered Agent (NWRA) in March 2025, paying $218 for Registered Agent setup. On May 28, 2025, I issued formal written instructions to terminate all trial services (Phone, Email, Domain, Website) tied to my business and revoked authorization for renewals or charges. **** admitted their system does not allow future-dated cancellations yet instructed me to manually cancel through a dashboard where the Cancel Services button is disabled (screenshot provided). I paid a $9 port-out fee on June 27, 2025, to release my business number *************) per ***** instructions. Despite complying, I remain unable to terminate services, and two unpaid invoices for $14.40 and $7.20 are being generated for tools I have formally declined. ***** system failures have blocked me from managing my account and forced me to spend hundreds of dollars migrating to alternative providers. I demand a full refund for paid services totaling $218 plus confirmation all remaining services will be terminated at trial expiration without charges. ***** platform failures and poor communication have harmed my business and delayed operations. I looked over everything on your account and the messages youve had with our team.
You were clear about wanting to cancel at the end of your trial, and we shouldve made the process easier, or at least explained better how our system works. Even with auto-pay turned off, invoices still generate automatically after the trial ends and that wasnt explained well up front. I can see how that caused frustration. We also didnt handle your phone number port-out as quickly as we should have, which only made things harder. At this point all services on your account are canceled, including your Registered Agent service since you filed a Change of Agent. Weve refunded everything as a full resolution including your Registered Agent fee and the phone porting fee. No further charges will be sent. Were making changes internally to prevent this from happening to others, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. If you need anything else from me, just let me know.**** ****

I am writing to file a formal complaint against ******* regarding a refrigerator repair that remains unresolved.We initially contacted your company to diagnose and repair our ** refrigerator. Your technician identified the issue and ordered a replacement part. That part has since arrived, but despite multiple calls, voicemails, and messages, we have received no response to schedule the repair appointment.This lack of follow-through and communication is highly unprofessional. Thanks for reaching out Im really sorry youre dealing with this. That kind of situation would be upsetting for anyone, and I understand why youre trying to get it resolved.
It looks like this message was sent to Northwest Registered Agent, but I believe we were listed by mistake. We dont own or operate any retail stores, and were not affiliated with a business called ******. Our company helps business owners with state filings and legal notices, and sometimes that means our name gets listed in places where it causes confusion.
We took a look and found one company registered in ********** with the name Localz in it, but it looks more like a holding company not a storefront. That business isnt connected to us in any way, and we arent able to reach out to them or share any private info, even if they were a client of ours.
I know thats probably not the answer you were hoping for, but I hope it at least helps explain why this complaint landed here and not with the people directly involved.

I completely understand how concerning it must be to see your personal address listed on a business filing without your consent. I want to be as transparent and helpful as possible in explaining our role and what options you have to get this resolved.
At Northwest Registered Agent, we serve as a registered agent, which means our role is strictly to accept legal documents on behalf of businesses that appoint us. However, we do not file or control the business addresses that owners list with the ********** details are entered directly by the business owner when they submit their paperwork to the Secretary of State. Because of this, we dont have the ability to change or remove any addresses on file.
That said, I dont want to just leave you without a path forward. If your address has been used without your permission, I strongly recommend reaching out to the Iowa Secretary of ************** as they will have the process in place for disputing or correcting business records. ********************** has consistently struggled with professionalism and customer care, a noticeable decline from their earlier performance. In 2023, the registered Northwest agency was supposed to file the annual report for ************************ Lite after our attorney drafted the necessary bylaws and completed the company registration. However, despite our attorney's efforts and communication with both Wolfpack Lite and Northwest, the annual report was not filed on time, leading to confusion when the state department reached out.I made numerous attemptsover ten callsto Northwest Agency, only to be repeatedly told that they could not service our ************************** (PBC). It became clear that their remote working situation had hampered their ability to address clients' needs. Disruptions like barking dogs and children needing attention distracted the staff, resulting in a lack of professionalism and accountability.Eventually, I found some assistance from one determined agent who followed through and sought answers from those who were less equipped. Unfortunately, due to delays in addressing our compliance issues, ******** has faced a $900 fine for nearly a year.Recently, we noticed additional charges on our invoice for services we explicitly stated we did not want. Our company charge card has been used repeatedly for these erroneous transactions, with Northwest taking weeks to reverse charges while continuing to bill us for their mistakes. Over time, we have incurred excessive fees, including $249 for formation, a pending $50 reversal for EIN, and an incorrect $150 registrar service fee. Despite our clear instructions communicated to three different live agents, the issues persisted, compounded by ongoing problems with their website. Overall, the service provided by Northwest has been consistently inadequate and unresponsive, indicating a troubling focus on profit over client satisfaction.Business Response

* In May, you reached out about the late annual report, and we mistakenly told you we couldnt file it for your entity type. That was incorrect, and we should have provided better guidance.
* In August, we confirmed we could file the late report and waived our $100 filing fee, leaving just the $900 state fee. Since payment wasnt made, the report still wasnt filed.
* The $250 invoice you referenced was for your 2024 annual report, which generated when we helped with your late filing.
* We also waived our $100 filing fee for the 2024 annual report, so if youd like, well file both the 2023 and 2024 reports at state cost only.*************************************

Northwest Registered Agent has violated my privacy and the privacy of my company by opening mail that included payment for services. I do not know why they opened 2 pieces of mail from a health plan instead of simply forwarding it to me as usual procedure. This is incredibly violating and they have withheld sending over the 2 checks that were opened without my permission. There is no reasonable explanation as to why I cannot request them to send these checks that now total over $300 to my company. Previous payments were never opened but they have now opened two pieces of mail. It has been over a week and I am still unable to request that they forward my mail. In this case, the two checks were opened and scanned because they arrived without your unique suite number. When mail is missing that identifying detail, our standard procedure is to open and scan it to determine the intended recipient. This helps us ensure mail isnt misrouted or left unprocessed.
That being said, we recognize that this caused frustration, and thats never our goal. To resolve this, weve already sent the checks to you and added a month of free virtual office service. Additionally, once you confirm receipt of the checks, we will remove the scanned copies from your account. So I chose this company to be my registered agent. When I was signing up their system stagelight or whatever started to do the loading circle when choosing my domain for like 5 mins on Jan 7th. I called and they put in a ticket that day. Since then I have tried to contact the company by email and phone to no avail. They did one time tell me my domain was mine but they are not responding back to any of my emails or calls This is a LLC registered agent company who cannot return a simple email 3 to 4 days later as well as return phone calls. How professional is this company really if they cannot at least give me a run around excuse at least. No instead they just ignore my 4 emails So the kicker is I paid for this membership and so far 20 days is down the toilet for what I paid for. I was supposed to get my domain for a year and a website for so long but they refuse to release my domain If time is money then all the time I spent on this issue has cost me but they don't care they just ignore the emails in the inboxBusiness Response

Another similar billing issues about " closing the account but having accepted mail on your behalf. It would required $50 to unlock the mail. I've explained to Northwest that I've dissolved my business in 6/23 but they kept sending me more and more emails demanding the payment. I am appalled by the harassment and extortion tactics. I demand for them to stop contacting me and going after customers like myself. If anything happens to my credit score, I would take them to court.Business Response

Since the state still lists the business as active with us as your Registered Agent, were required to handle any mail we receive on its behalf, but I realize this may have been confusing. Absolutely disgusting how they throw away your mail without permission if you guys dont accept packages you shouldnt have signed for it in the first place. Threw away over $200 of stuff in a package without my permission WHO THROWS AWAY PEOPLE MAIL ESPECIALLY WITHIN MAIL HANDLING. They should have to pay me for what was in that package. At Northwest Registered Agent, we aim to keep our policies straightforward, and one of them is that we dont receive or store packages as part of our mail service. This policy is outlined in our welcome email to clients to avoid any surprises down the line. When a package does come our way by mistake, we always reach out to the client, giving them two weeks to let us know if they'd like to claim it. If we don't hear back, the package is disposed of to keep things running smoothly.
In Ms. ********** case, it seems a package was accepted in error, so we sent her an email right away explaining our policy and the two-week window to pick it up. When we didnt hear back within that time, it was disposed of per our policy. We completely understand how this could feel frustrating, and were sorry for any confusion caused here.
We also tried to connect with Ms. ******** directly through the contact info provided but havent been able to locate her account, which has made it tricky to follow up with her directly. We're more than happy to continue the conversation through the BBB and answer any further questions to clear things up.
