The optimum wellness plan if u cancell u have to owe them money. It's not fair. Our **** sheltie of 14 yrs passed away today may 1st 2025. On the welness company I owe them $900.00. It's just not fair. We lost our family member and shouldn't have to pay anything. It's under *********.Banfield Pet Hospital

I have two dogs, Ive been taking them to Banfield for over five years. I now realize that Banfield has been ripping me off the entire time. We just paid $2700 for 10 teeth to be pulled. Other vets have quoted me in the range of $500-$1000 to pull the teeth. Plus Around $800 for anesthesia etc.. Yet Banfield charged me $800 as part of the Wellness Plan +$2700 this time. Not including the last incident. During our last dental cleaning the doctor was aware there would be multiple teeth extractions yet she waited until the time of anesthesia and gave me two minutes to decide. I should have said no and called another vet. But I cant let ***** go under twice when it could be done once. She should have told me of the possibilities at the consultation the day before. Yet she focused on a heart mumor (yet I dont believe to be true part of their scam/distraction process), which was NOT disclosed by the other banfield in 2023. Disclosed two years later??? A scam. Ive spoken to three vets in the last 24 hours and they all told me, they wouldve pulled the teeth for much much less. Aside from that, moving past this, Banfield gave me liquid nsaid and ********** versus a pill form. All other doctors in the past, including Banfield, have given us a pill form. Yet this Banfield claims theyre not able to do that because of the small size of my dog. I told them this is completely untrue, and that every other vet, including Banfield, has given us a pill. The liquid is horrible, and a very bad discretionary choice especially of this vet, when the dog has stitches in his mouth. It also makes me sad because it tells me they dont know what they are doing. And make discretionary choices that other vets would not agree with. (What else did they do wrong??) I asked them to fix it and give me a pill form, which we had during the same procedure last year. It even shows on THEIR records. They laughed at me and did nothing. Will not admit that they are wrong or consider my request.Banfield Pet Hospital

Incredibly unprofessional. They allowed a friend to call their clinic, update the Name, email and phone number on my account without my permission. They did not so much as bother to check with me before updating information on my account! I'm taking my business elsewhere.Banfield Pet Hospital

So, it turns out that after I told them my primary concern was the breach of privacy, their initial response was relief - that they didn't have to address the fact that they violated privacy policies. I look forward to this organization taking serious action against the individuals at the *************, ** location who violated my rights as a pet owner.Review fromWayne E

My plan ends soon. Thanks Goodness. Banfield and I are at a crossroads. I believe they stole money from me and then said they were entitled to it- they said they went to get their monthly service fee of ***** from my bank and it was rejected. I asked my bank, and they said nothing like that happened. In other words, they have no records of this Banfield transaction. A few days later Banfield came back, but this time for 72..95. 20 **** nsf fee. Hmmm, this time they had no problem. Also Banfield locks you into a contract, and they believe they are entitled for about a year for your monthly fee of *****. Whether you use the service or not. I see them as arrogant and money hungry.Banfield Pet Hospital

Brought my pup in to get neutered. The last time we planned on getting him neutered they advised that he had an irregular heartbeat so they wanted to hold off on the procedure. Now a couple months down the line our boy definitely needs to get it done. They advised that we now have to pay out of pocket for the neuter since its not covered under his "current" plan, Well no s*** its not covered under his current plan because they told us to hold off on it. But you have no issue performing the procedure now that the time is up for you to cover the cost of it right? Looks like its time to cancel our OWP's with all 3 of our dogs.Banfield Pet Hospital

It is truly disheartening & frankly, infuriating, to write this review about Banfield. To put it plainly, their billing practices, especially in the wake of my pet's passing, have added an unnecessary layer of ****************** to an already devastating ************* beloved companion, Ziggy, was under Banfield's care for several years. While the veterinary technicians were always kind, any semblance of professionalism or compassion has been completely overshadowed by their relentless pursuit of payment after Ziggy passed away on 3/23/25. The audacity is frankly shocking. In a time when I was grieving the loss of a family member, Banfield saw fit to continue sending bills for services that were no longer applicable. It feels like a callous disregard for the emotional toll this has taken on me. Is their accounting department so disconnected from the reality of their practice that they see a deceased animal as just another account to be debited?I have made multiple attempts to rectify this situation. Phone calls that led to being bounced around departments, promises of resolution that never materialized, & now, weeks later, the bills continue to arrive. It's not about the amount of money; it's about the principle. It's about the utter lack of empathy & the sheer administrative incompetence that allows such a distressing situation to persist.Banfield, your billing practices in this situation are not just inconvenient; they are deeply insensitive and disrespectful. You have managed to tarnish any positive memories I might have had of your care by prioritizing your bottom line over the well-being of grieving pet owners. I would strongly advise anyone considering Banfield to be extremely diligent about their billing and to be prepared for potential administrative nightmares, even in the most difficult of times. My experience suggests that compassion & efficient administration are sorely lacking at this institution.Banfield Pet Hospital

If you love your pet and your peace of mind, do not take your pet here! We have been taking our pet here since he was born and the service has been just ok. However, my job has moved me out of state. They will not allow us to cancel the wellness plan even though we have moved out of state. Very bad customer service! I do not recommend this place to anyone.Banfield Pet Hospital

Banfield SUCKSSSS ! From the services to the vets to the nurses ! They rush you ! They give you NOOOOO kind of information ! They had the nerve to schedule me around closing time kept my dog in a kennel for two hours I was watching through the glass they didnt check or even grab my dog until I asked what was taking so long come to find out they didnt give my dog shots or even properly look at him because they claimed they were closing .. everytime I go there with a issue I never get the help or answers I need ! If Im paying monthly for services I should be getting the proper help I need its not cheap ! I asked if they could look in my dogs nose ****** times they keep saying they dont see or hear anything I just recently took my dog to another vet and he does have something in his nose ! Banfield is going to kill our animals if they dont take the proper care and concern ! There needs to be a new policy that helps our animals more and a cheaper cost ! People are giving up there animals because they cant afford it ! Banfield is one of the worst hospitals ever ! I would never recommend them to anyone ! There monthly plan doesnt even make sense for half the year your paying monthly for ur dog not even to get seen or get what they need ! If I were you I would cancel ! If ******** miss diagnosed my baby over 3 times already what makes you think they wont do it to your baby ! Banfield does not help they just want money they have these young arranging kids working there ! Im sorry but I dont want a 23 year old fresh out of school working on my dog they think everythings a joke and I never get the answers I need from these kids ! I am more than oissed off that I now have to pay and go to another vet to get the help my dog needs ! Banfield you **** !Banfield Pet Hospital

Im filing a formal complaint regarding unethical and predatory treatment I received at a Banfield Pet Hospital location. I was repeatedly contacted to schedule a dental procedure for my cat, despite my hesitation. I was told anesthesia would be covered under my wellness plan. After agreeing, pre-procedure bloodwork revealed elevated liver enzymes, so the procedure was canceled.Despite that, I was charged a $209 immobilization feea charge I never consented to, was never informed of, and did not sign for. I was told to return in 30 minutes to pick up my cat. Upon arrival, I was made to wait and then pulled into a private room and informed of the charge. When I questioned it, I was met with defensiveness and told I couldnt get my cat back until I paid. They knowingly withheld a sick animal from his owner over an undisclosed charge. When I asked if it was protocol to not speak with a vet in-person about a sick animal, the office manager initially said no one would come out, then suddenly brought the vet in mid-conversationan obvious attempt to gaslight and control the narrative. The vet herself had been cold and dismissive over the phone, telling me, Wed be on the phone for three days explaining the causes.I also had to request my cats lab results, and they printed the wrong paperworkcausing delays when I took him to an emergency hospital. I have since paid over $2,000 for actual, urgent carewhile Banfield continues to pursue a charge for a procedure that never occurred. This experience was exploitative, unprofessional, and emotionally distressing.Banfield Pet Hospital

This is complaint. My pet Georgia was at the ********************* location on March 25th @ 9am for a Echogram. As I was sitting in the waiting area I heard her crying in pain. Every time I bring her for any services, I let them know she's very tender at the areas of her legs, and they have to hold her like a football. She is very tiny and fragile. That morning I told Caden ( front desk) the same thing, as how to hold her when he took her to the back. Luckily I stayed instead of dropping her off. When I heard her crying, I approach the desk and ask Caden why she was crying, his response" they giving her the test", I ask another associate who is a regular staff member and is familiar with Georgia, why was she crying .. same answer. Once the associate who was assisting the Echo Contractor, brought Georgia to me, I asked her why was she crying... she stated" we had to turn her on her side for the test ". I explain she is fragile and that why she was crying in pain, because they were hurting her. To this day, I can't pick her up, she cries. I schedule an appointment with another animal hospital to examine her. I have been a client of Banfield for many years with different fur babies. I am extremely upset about this. They treated her as if they was not aware of her fragile body, and maneuvering her body while they were hurting her. Basically they force her body to maneuver for the test. She is a mini toy poodle. Once the hospital let me know what is actually wrong with her and it stemmed from her treatment at Banfield, I will definitely email customer service, etc. I call customer service and told them the issue as well. This is horrible.Banfield Pet Hospital

My initial complaint was with the customer care team. I explained what happen and to cancel her plan with them. My pets have been patients for over 18 Years. The team *** took my complaint and said someone would call me from the hospital location. I spoke with ***, who is familiar with my pet. After explaining to her the incident and that EVERY time Georgia has treatment there, I reiterate to the team that she is very tender around all 4 legs and they will have to hold her like a football and that she is a jumper. *** stated that she will notate in her files to take extra precaution when handling her. She has been av patient for 10 years and no one thought that was relevant enough to notate until now after she has been injured. I took her to different hospital and they stated she was limping, and after examining the area, it was painful. She has a future appointment for an Xray. I explain to ***, once the technicians realized that Georgia was scared and resisted, they should have stopped and advised me if the situation. They could have recommended a mild sedation to relax her. But they continue to force her on her side and I heard her in the waiting area yelp for a length of time. I am saddened by this action and very upset, more so because I have to watch my fur pet in pain until the find out the problem.
