      DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A WELLNESS PLAN! We had to put my 14 year old dog down and we have to pay $300 to cancel the plan, or wait until the contract expires in 6 months. I understand that its a contract but the fact that they have no exceptions for when your dog dies is unbelievable. We have to keep paying for a wellness plan for my dead dog and its honestly heartbreaking. I will be telling everyone I know to not use this company because its not worth the heartache of seeing a charge on my card for my dead dog for the next six months.

      Banfield does illegal business practices. They tell you in person and on their contract that you can cancel at any time in office, through online and app and email. I left messages and emails to them and received automated response that they would reply within ***** hrs. After 3 months of attempting to actually speak to someone I contacted my bank. Then they finally responded to my bank stating I didnt cance correctly. I would never recommend this business

      ********* Hospital, is not qualified, and should not use the word Hospital . My darling pet was euthanized yesterday, due to cancer in pelvis bone. They couldnt even red the **rays, but had me pay money , so some qualified person could read them. I bought my sweet girl in a few times, she was limping, and low energy. They werent too concerned about it. I took her to all her visits, for blood work, dental ext. When she had issues, I would be sent over to emergency hospital, which charged big fees. I called them today, to cancel my sweet girls plan; and was told to hold on, so they could add up, what I owed them based on what services, she used this year. I was told it was total was about $780. I almost fell back. So I am stuck paying the monthly fee, they take out, until I am paid up. Do not use this place, buy pet insurance instead, you are better off, also always read what you sign. They say its in their paperwork.

      I read the response from Banfield. They are sorry for my loss, and would love to speak with me. Called customer service, and received the same response. I am obligated to keep paying for the plan. They want the money, thats the policy, but they are very sorry for my loss. They will continue to charge me the monthly fee, until the ****** which is what they feel I owe, is paid. Once again, this company is heartless ??

      The reason for my review is to honor the life of our beloved furbaby. We have had our beloved chihuahua under the care of different Doctors at Banfield since she was 6 months old. We have on average a "fair" experience over all these years. One of the most remarkable ones was with Dr. ***** that took care in a personable way of our baby when she was just one year old and saved her life whit her professionalism, care for animals, and her preventive care knowledge, and prompt responses. After that experience, we recommended to ALL our families and friends to have Banfield as their PREVENTIVE health service for their babies, however over the years the staff changed and we have some BAD EXPERIENCES with my baby and my niece's baby mainly, I am sure with the right attention we could PREVENT their unfortunate and painful end of one month apart from each other, we are still living the impact of such losses. Personable and detailed attention is really needed to accomplish PREVENTIVE CARE AS IT IS PROMISED by Banfield.

      I understand that vets at Banfield are evaluated by number of patients per day, that reflects the quality of service that they give in individual visits and as a result affecting in the mid and long term the care/health we as customers trust they are giving to our pets with the PREVENTIVE service they sale as a prime.

      I have had my cat come to this Banfield for a year now and I have never been so disappointed with their service until about a week ago. I decided to get the soonest available date they had with a different doctor. I wanted my cat to get a dental examination and a check up. My cats appointment was at ****, and I received a call at 3:30pm telling me that my cat was difficult to work with. In summary telling me that they didnt do the check up or examination on my cat at all. I expressed my concern of Why was I not contacted as soon as they tried examining her so I can give the okay to sedate her? I told them that my cat had been there all day and that I was upset about her check up not even been done. The doctor had the audacity to say that my cat didnt need a check up because she was up to date with her vaccines. This was incredibly unprofessional when I pay for her wellness plan and I can take my cat whenever I feel like. There was 0 communication when it came to the care of my cat and 0 concern on having my cat there all day with absolutely nothing done to her. I think the least this place could do its keep the owners of the animals updated with any situation and not wait till theyre about to close to call and basically complain about how my cat is hard to work with.

      I had my pet on Banfield's wellness plan. What they don't tell you when you sign up is that you actually owe the full amount up front, but the offer you payment plans over a 12 month agreement. My pet of 13 years had to be euthanized yesterday, and although ****************** and ***** the assistant were wonderful people, when I contact Banfield to cancel my plan, I was told I owed them $419.65. Each time I took my pet there, it was never fully covered by the plan anyway and I always paid between $200 to over $1,000 for services. This company preys on the love we have for our pets and I will never have another wellness plan with them. They should be transparent and clear when you sign up for the plan.

      I have had my two dogs on the wellness plan for 10 and 7 years. In that time, I have had to take them to the emergency vet so many times because this location couldn't offer an appointment for 1-3 weeks. Further than that, when I went to take my one dog off the plan, they told me they couldn't fit his teeth cleaning in before the contract end date, which was 3 months out. I called recently to get my dog's thyroid medication refilled and after 4 phone calls, still can't get the dr. to sign off on the prescription OR even get a phone call back. When I call, the staff member on the other end just continues to say "I understand, ma'am". As of right now, I still am not sure how to get the meds. I'm told they are short-staffed....not my problem. I pay $90 a month and get next to nothing for it. If you can't deliver on what you promise in the contract, let people out of the contracts so that they can actually go to a reputable vet that can provide the proper care to their animals.

      Company treats employees poorly & only care about the numbers. I worked for this company for close to 4 **************** due to the poor support from management . They only care about selling wellness plans that clients are never able to fully use due to hospitals being overbooked. Employees are underpaid, overworked & hospitals are always short staffed. After I resigned my paycheck was incorrect & I have attempted to reach out to corporate for about 5 months. No correction has been made to date so basically I worked for free. Stay away from this scamming business theyre just money hungry.

      Banfield is a joke. They profit off of your pet and only strive to make commission over actually caring about the "wellness" of your pet. Our pet passed away 2 weeks ago, and after attempting to cancel her wellness plan, they told me that we would have to continue to pay for coverage for the next 6 months for her and wait for it to cancel in March 2023. Why am I paying coverage for the next 6 months for an animal that is physically no longer here? Also, we had called the day after her passing to ask about cremation services. The employee that answered the phone had zero clue on what that entailed. She had no idea what the procedure was and left me on hold for 15 minutes so she could go ask another nurse for help. We ended up going elsewhere for cremation because they were so disorganized, uneducated and not sympathetic at all. When my pet was starting to develop cataracts, the vet here told us that it wasn't serious and that I didn't have to do anything. Once we started seeing how it was affecting her quality of life, we took her to an actual eye specialist who told us about all of our options. Banfield is ridiculous and unethical.

      Banfield is not a pet hospital. If your dog is sick or needs real care, they send you elsewhere. They only care about upselling you products and services. You would be better off saving the money you are paying them and going to a real vet. Do not fall for their tricks the word pet hospital is a real stretch. I'm surprised they get away with it! I would give them no stars if I could.
