      My pet insurance welness plan with Banfield Hospital was renewed in April 2023. 3 months later my dog passed away, so I called them in order to cancel the insurance plan but they say that I will have to pay the entire membership fee for services that for obviuos reasons my pet is not going to use any more? Be careful people because they don't care about you or your pet, they are only interested in your wallet.

      I already called you and also I contacted you on ********* You replied to my comment 3 days ago that they would reach out to me to resolve the issue and I am still waiting. You only care about their image.

      I really dont know what can be done to undo the experience my dog and I have encountered recently at Banfield in **********, **. I have taken all my dogs there and I have referred family and friends to them. But now I understand why there are so many bad reviews about Banfield. My dog Summer went there this Friday for a routine dental cleaning. Summer is not just a dog, she is my child. All my dogs are my kids. I had no hesitations or fears when I took my healthy, happy baby Summer to the vet to get her teeth clean. She has been going to Banfield literally since the day she was born and it was not the first time she had the procedure done. The issues today did not occur before! The staff all know her . I am so lost at how she has this big red bruise on her arm. The staff informed me it was due to her not staying still, but Summer is known for not staying still and being nervous when she goes to the vet.. I mean her arm looks terrible. It is exceptionally red all the way around and she still will not put a lot of pressure on it when I put her down to go potty outside. She is a tiny, eight pound shih tzu. Why was it so hard to do the same procedure they have done on her before. It looks like they stuck her several times in that arm. Why? Why treat her like that? If it meant hurting her, they should have called me and I would have told them to stop and I would have picked her up. I would have rescheduled because it was not an emergency. And I did not learn about the extent of what happened or how her arm looked until I got there at 5:30pm. Again why? I really feel like I took her to Banfield to be abused. And I had to call to check up on her, nobody called me after the procedure to tell me anything. And when I called and spoke with a manager, she hanged up on me. I have never been treated like this in all the years I have been a loyal customer to this company. Summer is being treated by another vet now for her leg. I have cancelled my wellness plan.

      I have sent three complaints to the email ******************************************************* The first one was the same day the incident occurred. Please do not pretend that your company has no knowledge of my emails. Also, I called the number for complaints and the representative told me to send an email. My dog is on pain meds to address her injury to her arm. I have received no response from banfield yet. This is a sorry company!!!

      Let me be the next of many on here to say, DISASTER. Stay away. We've been ripped off. Not only have we been charged several times, we can't get a test result back from them that's been pending for 3 weeks, and we can't get out of our OWP plan. What a disaster. Please save yourself and stay away. I would have saved a lot of heartache and pain if I had read previous reviews.

      My son was in the military and could not take his dog with him. I took his dog ***** to Banfield in ************, ** for a routine check-up and was offered the Optimum Wellness Plan because he was over 9 years old. I was told that the dog was ****** son's name so I said I was going to be the person responsible for his care and fees. So they said fine and I took over my son's plan. Now fast forward. ***** died in May, I called Banfield Hospital the day after he was euthanized at that hospital to cancel the coverage. Now I get calls that for two weeks ring and hang up. I contacted the office and they said only ***** could cancel this plan. I told them he has also called to cancel it. I just got a call today saying ***** owes money. That's impossible since I paid for the Optimum Wellness Plan in full. They are no help and I need this resolved. Next step lawyer.

      Banfield wellness plan is a rip off, they are still billing me for the wellness plan and my dog is dead, they have started billing someone else's credit card and will not stop and was not willing to cancel the plan after I told them my dog died in April of 2022. I've tried to resolve the problem the right way but they are not willing too. After changing to Banfield for services for my dog, we were paying more services and other things including medicine and my dog got worse and he later died after his last visit, so I don't believe their services helped at all, they just billed me for every little thing outside of the wellness plan and still continuiously billing me after I told them to cancel, because my dog died, they told me I could not cancel,, so I told them stop billing the card I had on file and that I would start bringing in my payments seeing they would not cancel, so now they have fraudently begin charging someone else's card to my account and will not stop. Banfield is not a good company to take your pets to, as well as their wellness plans are no good.

      I've had my 2 dogs on Banfield's pet insurance for 10 + years. I have been over-charged and honestly don't know why I've stuck with Banfield for so long. The providers nickel and dime you and it's absolutely ridiculous. I just had my 6.8 lb poodle get 2 teeth extracted and it costed me almost $1400. I manage a dental practice and for a human, it doesn't cost over $1000 for 2 molar extractions. My dog was already under anesthsia for a dental cleaning. I asked for an itemized receipt and they charged me additional charges "that had to be completed with the extraction". I did not authorize all those additional charges. I will be going to the media and ***** board of vets to complain. A 6.8 dog should not cost more that a 200 lb human. Y'all really take advantage of people trying to be good pet parents. Oh, and the $1400 was with my so called discount being a member and all. I emailed corportate and the only response I received was my plans for my 2 dogs would not be auto renewed come next year. Really? That's the only response I get and I've been loyal and on your plan for over a decade? Do not respond to email you because I've already dont that. This needs to stop. Humans have fees set so providers cannot set their own fee and take advantage of people. This needs to be the case for animals. It's unforunate that Banfield has grown to be such a horrible corporation. The reviews are horrible. You've lost a customer for life and I will spread the word so other's know money is all Banfield wants. So sad.

      Truly a terrible business. Their customer service is atrocious - their vet care is dangerous. Try to get vet care from this place, I dare you. You will get caught up in some version of a fight with their desk ladies, the vet will not serve your pet or take care of them. Very rarely is there a business that will take a lot of your money, but literally deny service day after day after day with dozens of random excuses. Most unhelpful, scammy business. And such little oversight ******** care, this is allowable. Vets make a lot of money, and make as many excuses why they can't properly care for your pets.

      This Banfield location is horribly unprofessional. The office manager ***** mistreats her employees and does not care at all for their welfare. My husband worked there for a few months and he was disrespected multiple times. I will no longer recommend Banfield to anyone because of Caseys repeated behavior.

      I would not recommend this animal hospital ever. They include an office visit charge for everything, even a castration surgery. Charges are exorbitant. I adopted a stray male cat. After 1 visit, 3 immunizations and a simple castration surgery, I paid $610. Other animal hospitals do not charge for an office visit when you take your pet in for a scheduled surgery. I am grateful I did not sign up for their pet insurance because I do not want a relationship with an animal hospital based on deception and greed.

      I wish there was an option for zero stars! You're not worthy of one! I was using their services for a few years previously and they were terrible. They gave my dog two kinds of wrong medication. Earlier this year I noticed a charge on my credit card for 4 months straight. They somehow enrolled me into some program and were charging my card monthly. I tried telling them I never signed up and they didn't care. I asked them to provide proof of signing up and they could not. Now they gave this case to collections and what a pain it is to deal with. I strongly suggest not doing business with this company.
