My dog was about 13 years old and had respiratory health conditions. I'd been going to Banfield for years and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. They sent me to Blue ***** for a specialist who would not allow me in with my dog and the best they could come up with was mild megaesophagus. I did everything suggested but nothing helped. I took her to AVC (************************ animal hospital in ***) they reviewed her information and did not agree with the diagnosis. To make things better, if you're not a vet you might not know that a dental for an elderly animal with health issues is a big no and I'm kicking myself for not knowing. Well they suggested I do a dental and everything was fine and good to go. My dog is now dead. And they are still billing me despite the many calls to cancel. They informed me they'd make it right and not **** me past my dogs death. Of course they have no record of that and are still going to **** me anyway. Though s*** If you want out of your plan even if your dog is dead, it sounds like you'll need a lawyer. Banfield DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET, they just want your money. Worst place ever. I called the ******************** location at least 100 times this week to schedule an appointment for my dog that has kennel cough. Tried to get her meds but they only schedule appointments weeks in advance. My dog is legit hacking up a lung and they could care less. Worst place ever. Your animal will not get good care here. This company is cruel and has no compassion for their customers. I am reading lots of similar complaints. My dog passes away and they were arguing with me to pay out his wellness plan until it was supposed to expire. I refuse to pay for a dog that is no longer with us. Terrible, cruel way to deal with people. I have passed on word of mouth and will be writing reviews everywhere I can on how awful I was treated. Disgusting. Over $100 measly dollars! ********* in ******* ** used to be a good place... but it has really gone down hill. They never answer their phones and were not there when I needed them . This is now the second time it has happened. I was told once to go to CAVE's in an emergency. This was during the day!! Aren't they supposed to be MY vet ??? I can't tell you how disappointed I am with *********. They advertise online that they are accepting new patients...THEY CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF THE **** THEY HAVE NOW! My dog died on 7-30-22 and I couldn't even get a hold of them to bring her there for cremation. Caves answered their phones and helped me asap !!! Then, I called them 2 days later to get something to calm my other dog as he was having MAJOR anxiety of the loss of his sister. NO HELP from *********..the best they could do was a telephone call the NEXT week. Ridiculous.I would NEVER recommend ********* to anyone. Save yourself the time and energy and go to a REAL Veterinarian/ who will be there for you.Banfield Pet Hospital

Stay away from Banfield!!! They misdiagnosed my 5-year-old dog with pneumonia when she had lung cancer. I showed 3 vets after and they could all tell right away! All they gave her was coughing pills and some antibiotics, while my poor dog's cancer spread throughout her whole body and I had to put her to sleep. If you love your pets, do NOT take them to Banfield!!!!If I could I give zero starsLau A.

We have been with this ** for 71/2 yrs paying for the wellness plan, and while they try to accommodate the masses, if your pet has anything other than ************ could be detrimental. My dog needed more as he got older and when I tried to cancel my wellness plan, they continued to charge me while listing my dog as deceased. Actually, he could easily have died has he stayed on his regimen instead of them acknowledging his extremely high *** Its good for routine basic care. I would give them no stars if I could. After 2 years of paying a monthly payment for their Wellness plan, I called to cancel today because we moved and there isn't a Banfield where we moved to. The company is refusing to turn off the auto pay on my card and will not stop charging me. They are now telling me I have to pay for the rest of the plan and the services used. When I signed up, I was told I could cancel at any time with no obligations. I was lied to. This company is STEALING MY MONEY!!!! THIS IS ILLEGAL AND A LAWYER WAS CONTACTED. If Banfield doesn't want sued, someone better contact me regarding this matter. I've been on the phone for over 4 hours today, spoke with 5 different people and they are refusing to stop charging my card. Their resolution? To call my bank and cancel my card. You advised me to reach out to *************************************************************************** which I have. I was contacted by a MANAGER today who also REFUSED to turn off my auto pay, stop charging my account, and zero my balance they are saying I owe. She was rude and had ZERO compassion. Your company's slogan is "Banfield Cares" and it should be "Banfield Steals and Lies." I am done playing with you company. I informed the manager I spoke with today that I would be moving forward with my lawyer and suing the company. What has transpired is theft, emotional distress, fale misinformation, and leading someone under false pretenses. I NEED CONTACTED by someone important. I am done chasing your company around and taking time out of my day to reach out to people, wait on hold, and get NO WHERE. Your customer service representatives caused me so much stress I was crying to one of them on the phone and they hung up on me. I will let every news outlets and social media platforms that I can not to trust their goldfish with your company because you could give two craps about anyone and their pet, only the money you can steal. Again, if I am not contacted by someone of importance that will take this matter seriously and offer a resolution I will move forward with my lawyer that I have already contacted and is more than happy to send out a letter advising of the laws you have broken. I had their stupid wellness plan for my cats. For the kitten, it seemed worth it because it included the spay. Then I got sucked into a senior plan for my older cat. At the last appointment, I was told she has a large kidney stone and needs a tooth pulled, again. Due to possibly having a heart murmur, it would be extra so they could give her medicine for her heart. The procedure to remove the stone and run other tests would have been over $500 WITH the plan. Why the h@!! am I paying $80 a month then? I said that I need to wait until I have the money. They tried to take out the payment plan a couple of times and my account was overdrawn so it didn't go through. All I received were emails and a text saying that I need to log on and check my account. NOTHING about being sent to collections. No warning. Just says that my account is on hold in the emails.I thought I could just catch up later. Yesterday I received a letter from collections for over $600!! It sounds like from reading other reviews that I wouldn't have been able to just cancel anyway without being charged for all of it. I am a single parent. I can't afford an attorney to fight it.
