In August of 2021 I purchased an online game bundle that claimed to include a game and several add ons, however I was only able to attempt playing it this week. I discovered that it did not in fact include the main campaign of the game, and when I spoke to support about it they said that while I did indeed own several versions of the game I would have to purchase the main campaign regardless, despite their online storefront saying I already owned it. When I requested a refund instead, they said they would not be able to provide it, as it had been more than 2 weeks since purchase.Initial Complaint

I recently lost access to my account authenticator and my password due to a data breech/burglary performed by my drug-addicted neighbor. I have been trying to regain access to my account but no matter how I try to accommodate Steam's rules on establishing my identity, I am instead asked for more and more esoteric information and it seems as if they are purposefully withholding my account for monetary gain as there is unspent credit left on the account. I am only asking to prove my identity in good faith while I am being asked to provide receipts from accounts closed many years ago. As I tried to comply with these confusing and impossible demands it seemed as if establishing my identity was not at all a goal of Steam and that their primary goal was to sever my ties with my lawfully purchased software. I am prepared to prove my identity and I demand a realistic opportunity to do so.Initial Complaint

There's no way to directly contact someone for support which for a company of this size is stupid. I am having issues getting a game. It keeps throwing up random errors and eventually said I tried too many times so I bought it from another site and got a code. I tried to redeem the code and even though it was my first time entering the code, it gave me a message saying I've tried too many times. I WANT MY **** GAME!!!Initial Complaint

I SPENT ALMOST A WEEK CHATTING W THEIR TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, BECASUE THEY HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER. ALL I NEEDED WAS HELP UPDATING MY EMAIL ADDRESS SO I CAN LOGIN TO MY ACCOUNT. I HAD A ********************** ACCOUNT FOR OVER 5 YEARS AND LOVE PLAYING PC GAMES, I HAVE GIVEN THEM HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN BUYING GAMES FOR MY PC. MY EMAIL WAS COMPROMISED A YEAR AGO, AND SIMPLY NEEDED HELP TO UPDATE THAT SO I CAN RESET MY PASSWORD AND LOGIN. I WASTED A WEEK CHATTING WITH THEIR AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE, WHO MADE ME PROVE MY ACCOUNT WAS ACUTALLY MINE. I UNDERSTAND ACCOUNT SECURITY ETC, BUT EVERYTHING THEY ASKED ME HAD TO DO WITH AN EMAIL I CANNOT ACCESS! WHICH IS WHY I CONTACTED THEM FOR HELP! I PROVIDED THEM ALOT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION AND STILL THEY REFUSE TO HELP ME LOGIN TO MY ACCOUNT. Three days ago, I put $100 into my Steam wallet to purchase a micotransaction for a game called The First ********** via Steam. It kept failing. I had no idea what was going on, why my game kept freezing when I tired to purchase.Then I went directly to Steam websit to try and it wouldnt work, however, smaller purchase amounts worked. I obtained a $20 micotransaction and was confused as to what and why was happening to my account. I went on ****** to discover others having the same issue due to being restricted by Steam and that submitting a support ticket would be the way to get things cleared up. Valve Steam Games the makers of the popular Steam pc gaming platform and who make the game half life the orange box and more are failing to protect their clients from account theft they know its happening they set up a meager recovery option but 80% of the time the account that's been hacked is stolen by te theif changing the client account email and phone number essentially letting the thief steal it and steam is aware these thefts are happening but I being a victim of this am now Out 400 to 1000 or more Dollars when games that are purchased are tied to a email and password and phone number and Valve Steam is turning a blind Eye even when the email is right in front of them as proof and doing nothing to protect us gamers from our accounts being stolen and many have more than just valve products on Steam platform they have other cd keys they redeenec and these keys allow theives to download and install the stolen account ********************** and the original owner has no recourse other than to email valve like I am and hope they listen but like in my case this jerk added debit credit cards to my account and then of course I can't see those so I don't know the details. This makes account rrciveru difficult and our games unsafe as these thefts keep happening. And valve don't listen to the victims.Initial Complaint

September 1st, had a prepaid **** from a rewards program i was using, i spent it all on digital steam currency to my family, and 20$ of that 90 successfuly went through, but the rest did not; in fact the other 70 is withdrawn from my account. I contacted both the bank and steam, and both of them have not been helpful at all. I than mentioning a possible chargeback, but than steam decided to go on ahead and threaten restrtricting my account over a chargeback; if steam or whomever wouldnt have deducted money off the card and gave the recipent the intended products that were purchased than this would not be an issue. Regardless, its pretty sad how sloppy steams support is, its sad how steam is hailed as this great gaming marketplace in which it is most of the time, but when it comes to simple things as customer support, its just not existent.Initial Complaint

i bought an item off of them a few months ago realy used it the screen went black they said they fixed it and sent it back it is still completly destroyed not repaired i want a replacement or a refund its unacceptable that i spent so much money and they decide not to honor their own warratny and keep my device damaged and send it back to me in a destroyed package along with the currior slamming it onto the ground
