I had purchased h*** divers 2 from steam owned by valve corporation and the game never worked I had thought maybe there was something wrong with the ** key so I returned the digital purchase and repurchased the $40 game once more and the game still did not work I tried contacting steam for support and got nothing I tried returning the game and they would not accept the refund for a faulty product I would simply just like to either the play game or have my $40 backInitial Complaint

Hello, A game purchase was made. Game in question is Helldivers 2. I bought this upon release.A few months later a policy was changed within the game that began restricting countries from accessing the game.I happen to travel for work. I was traveling for work to ****** and one night decided to open up steam and play helldivers 2 only to be confronted with my account being restricted and the inability to play the game. This persisted upon arriving back to my home in the ***Steam has denied all accountability and refuses to refund the game. And pointed fingers to arrowhead studios and that I should reach out and contact them. Arrowhead studios points the finger to steam and says only they have the power to refund me the game.Steam refuses and automatically closes all my disputes now citing their anticonsumer refund policy and refuse to admit there is nuance here not covered by their policies.I am really close to simply hiring a lawyer for this, as even a charge back (which I know I am entitled to doing under Fair Credit Billing Act) will have steam limiting my account which has over thousands of dollars spent for game. I do not want to lose the account but I also want a refund for a game I am no longer able to play for a policy that was not initially announced when I purchased the game. And only instated 2-3 months later, with out any notification whatsoever. The gaming platform Steam is owned by Valve Corporation. My complaint is about how they have handled their business on the internet in the video game Dota 2. Dota 2 is a big E-Sport where people play for lots of money. But despite it being this big deal, I am treated badly. Because of the Behavior score and Communication score. Which means my account, or apparently any account, is not able to play Ranked Dota 2 games anymore. And this is so horrible to do to someone, I am even shocked its possible. I never even broke any laws. And never intentionally fed before. How many times have they flagged me for hacking or intentional feeding? Should be zero on my account for it to be accurate. Otherwise what character I play or what things I wrote in the game can't have taken away my ability to play the game. Can you understand why this is true legally? And what they are doing is very wrong? To make people feel this way. I am sure Valve owes money to you guys and me for this and should get punished by the government.Here I can show you this picture. In this picture they have just banned me for 15 minutes. Even though I didn't even go afk. It's like I'm being hacked? Or is they company really allowed to be this mean to customers and gamers? Also in the picture you can see in the chat box that they even have spam sellers that aren't being banned. So why is a good experienced player like me getting banned? And not the people doing illegal scams and spamming illegal sales in the chat box? The company seems to be attacking American citizens. Is this even real or are you guys just making it up? How about they get in trouble for real this time? I even won the money before that they stole. I would say its a police matter but maybe not because BBB could help correct the business by having the federal government inform them they are breaking laws in these cases here.Here is my account page name for ******************. I recently purchased a prepaid gift card with the intention to use it to purchase a game on steam. I attempted to use the card several times, all of which declined. I gave up after coming to the conclusion that the card cannot be used on steam. I then tried to use the same card to purchase something else from another website, which also declined due to "insufficient funds". I then went to the website on the back of my prepaid card to check the balance available, which should have been $30 USD, only to see a charge of $27.75, which is the exact total of the product I attempted to purchase from Steam. I contacted Steam, and after waiting an unreasonable amount of time for a response, they told me the only thing they could do was not accept the funds and wait for them to be returned to my card, which they gave me a time frame of 30 days. I then contacted the prepaid card company, and they confirmed the transaction was from Steam, and they told me the funds will be returned within 7 days. It has been longer than 7 days, and before I began filling out this report, I checked again if the funds were returned only to see that the remaining funds on the card have been removed in a transaction for $28.05. I find this to be completely unacceptable from Steam and wish to be reimbursed for these transactions.Initial Complaint

I had my account randomly accessed bypassing ALL security measures. They were able to spend money off my card, and also list items on the marketplace without confirmation through their app. I have lost 100$ in total due to this, I had contacted support and they pretty much said nothing they can do about it, okay so you're allowing the person to steal money from me then have me reverse the money back? Steam is not providing a way to contact them regarding the change of information / PII that can be made visible for all. I have no way of contacting them. I emailed support email that returned with a message saying it was no longer monitored and to submit an incident ticket but they do not provide a way of doing so. Upon investigating forums many people struggle with contacting the corporation and therefore they are not abiding by government standards to provide safety of PII.Initial Complaint

DOT: Jan 20, 2024 Paid Amount: 279.00$ USD Item: Valve Index Controllers Upon receiving product and hooking the controllers up, the left controller has tracking issues with the ring finger. Right Controller was accidentally broken but still both are under warranty. I have been back and fourth with their support since the purchase but have yet to give me the option to have them replaced under warranty. Dear **********, X,I was advised to reach out to you by the ECC.In 2022, I bought an early access game ******* Dreamlight Valley" from the French developer Gameloft via the platform Steam (29,99)The game worked for a period of time, yet eventually - a few months down - developed a bug that rendered it's core gameplay almost impossible to play.The core concept of the game is to play with ****** characters, to dress up and decorate your house and city. Everything you do revolves around decorating...You complete missions to buy and earn furniture, clothes, etc. Alot of which require you to spend "30 minutes" with characters or wait hours for a certain task to complete. Unfortunately, I am completely unable to decorate my home. The essential core of the game.This has been the case for well over a year. I've been in close contact with the game's support (Gameloft) for this entire time.The bug causes the game to lag when you try to decorate inside the house. The cause of which are critters or animals that spawn in the "void" around the interior. In some cases, it may very well delete everything you have placed inside the room.This is not an isolated situation either, as you can also encounter it whilst cooking at the game's restaurant.Eventually, Gameloft and I - vendor and buyer - agreed on a refund.The thing is, it has to go through steam, as the game was bought through it. But steam refuses.It claims that my extended gaming time - the hours I have played - indicates it's not a game breaking bug.This ignores the fact that I was under the assumption the entire time - assured by the developers - this would be resolved; understanding the game was still in early access at the time.Though, the bug remained even when it fully came out. That I thus spent all that time gathering the decorations on the hope that I would be able to use them. nd that a lot of missions in the game are largely padding; requiring you to wait and wait as demonstrated above.
