About a month ago I submitted a ticket on Paypal because they had not used the payment method that I had requested when trying to add 50 dollars in funds to my steam account. In my ticket I clearly wrote that I just wanted to change the method of payment that was used. Without advising me further or explaining my options, ****** went ahead and reversed the transaction. When I contacted ****** I was told that the decision was final. Im willing to take my share of responsibility for this but I do not feel that the response was warranted. It resulted in a 4 week account restriction in Steam as well as a game ban of my Lost Ark account. When I contacted Steam I was told that I would have to take it up with the payment processor and that they could not do anything for me. It would have to be the exact same transaction, which I had no way of reversing. Finally, after connecting my account 4 weeks later, I submitted a ticket to Amazon games and was told promptly that the disciplinary action was merited, and went on to list rules such as do not cheat or hack, do not exploit in game features, etc. None of which had any mention of a reversed payment and none of which I have done on my account. They also would not provide me a reason as to why my account was banned. They also said that they would no longer be responding to my tickets. I can guarantee that no cheating/exploiting/botting or real money trading were done on my account. I am willing to pay the 50 dollars that is owed. Can someone please help? I don't even care about playing lost ark anymore, or the hundreds of dollars spent on my lost ark account that I no longer have access too. I just want the game ban removed from my steam account of 15 years. I have never cheated in the past. This ban is affecting my ability to play ranked matchmaking on OTHER valve games and I am being judged by my peers for something I didn't do.My steam ID is *****************. My main characters name is ******, and my server was Una.Initial Complaint

Purchased February 11th. Paid $63 for Hogwarts Legacy, a video game. I have requested a simple refund, have provided the requested proof and have now been denied the refund after being told it was due to me. I realize how trivial this matter is, however, I am uncertain where else to turn at this point and the BBB has helped me resolve an issue in the past. I would very much appreciate any help or perhaps information on how best to proceed or if there is any other agency that *** be able to help me? Thanks for your time.Initial Complaint

I purchased a software product from Steam (Call of Duty Modern Warfare II, Vault Edition) on November 19, 2022 at 5:13 pm. Transaction ID was ******************* using my MasterCard. I downloaded the game software, and the updates that Steam pushed. The game would not load. I followed Steam troubleshooting and support and spent dozens of hours over the next two months troubleshooting. It never worked. The game never loaded and according to Steam's own records I never played the game. I requested a refund but was refused with Steam saying the game download was older than two weeks. I have appealed this but they keep providing the same boilerplate response. I am requesting a refund.Initial Complaint

I bought a game on steam on February 13. I was told by a Best Buy employee that my specifications on my laptop would be sufficient enough to play the game after installing the game and slowly setting the game up, I noticed the graphics are horrible. I played around with the settings to see if I could fix it and continuing to check the game after each adjustment. I googled fixes all of which did not work. I contacted steam for a refund and they said no. I explained for a third time of my frustration and they still said no. They said my game play was 5 hours and anything over 2 cant be returned but I really didnt play the game. It was running while I was searching for fixes. I uploaded a photo of the horrible graphics.Initial Complaint

I was gifted 50$ on my steam account from my brother on Christmas and on Jan 7th my steam account was hacked and the money was transferred to another account using their trading system. On the 30th I noticed my funds were stolen and had a email saying someone from a completely different country was trying to log into my account. The item that was purchased was worth 4, but sold to my account for 50$. I reached out to steam hoping they offer some sort of help but instead they told me they cannot refund my money and all trades are final and closed my ticket. I then tried contacting them again just for them to say my email is a duplicate and then closed that ticket as well. I did not make any purchase on my account using those fund. It was all fraudulent activity. Steam is refusing to return my money or assist in helping me. They r allowing fraudulent activity to happen and do absolutely nothing to protect their consumers. All I want is the money returned to me.Initial Complaint

I purchased Hogwarts Legacy from Steam on my laptop, in the knowledge that my system met and exceeded the minimum requirements to support the game. It took lots of time to rectify issues with the textures not loading and when finally I could see *some* graphics, the game was unplayable and slow. If I tuned the textures down, I would play a terrible looking game, The whole experience was painful. There was then an update to fix some "bugs and glitches" in the game. This made things worse. I could no longer see anything beyond blocks, no matter how much I tuned in the graphics options. I have since asked Steam (Valve) for a refund.Initial Complaint

I joined Steam on February 14th and wanted to play Plants VS Zombies. Steam suggested I purchased EA Play to access more games I would love. I purchased a year subscription for *****. After purchase I played my game (for 96 minutes) and then viewed other available games. There weren't any good ones and most were low quality. I cancelled the subscription on February 19th (24 hours later) and requested a refund. I was told I could not have a refund because I played the game for 96 minutes even though their policy is a game is refundable if you haven't played for more than 120 minutes. I again disputed the refund denial letting them know I had just joined and would prefer to spend the money on individual games. That I purchased this subscription for a whole year only to use it for 24 hours so it seemed reasonable considering I just joined Steam. I was accused of abusing the refund policy which is just ridiculous. I believe it is fair to receive a refund and within their policies.
