I purchased Cities Skylines on Steam (a company they own) and I have not been able to play this game on my computer. I reached out and they said I have accrued 65 hours of play time in 2 days. I work a 9-5 I am not sure how that works out. I paid $141.20 and I am trying to get my money back. Steam is the software company and games platform that Valve owns. I recently purchased a gift for the wrong person. They refused to refund because it was a gift. I disputed the charge with my credit card company and now Steam/Valve is refusing to accept my credit card.Initial Complaint

When using, Steam, software by Valve Corporation, and use the "Steam Support" channel no matter what your issue is even if you mention in your email that you already checked out the "Steam Client Troubleshooting" section, the response you will always get from Steam support is always the same first response and they never take the time to read you message and rather just. throw a evasive message at you and hope its enough to solve your issue and make you go away. The message is attached by photo showing that every message gets a same response and the support team doesn't bother to even recognize if an issue is deeper, that the user is more advanced then the common game and understanding things on a much advanced level. this is why steam is a mess and has been for years the company slacks off, can't help users properly, and after years the client still has major bugs and issues that fail to resolve.Initial Complaint

I have already paid this company for 2 games. The money is out of my account now and I'm still waiting for these two games listed below to be in my own "Library". ************ Let Loose Earlier I was told my steam account was going be permanently banned due to an accidental chargeback. My lawyer is ********************* and I plan to file a suit again Valve Corporation immediately if my digital products are not returned or if my account is negatively affected in anyway whatsoever from this complaint. I tried going through Steam Support first and ultimately was ignored. Now I'm officially filing a complaint - if I don't have my products by end of this business week I will file an emotional distress suit as well as product liability. I purchased a ( $50) Steam Gift Card and when the code was scratched off on the back of the card, the code came off as well. Only part of the number is showing. It has taken me hours for the past 2 weeks getting any resolution or help from this business. On the back of the card I sent emails to www. steampowered.com/wallet for help. I received a ticket number for help (HT-BNJ8-TNQH-PX8P). When sending back my copies of the receipt my emails are returned. I found a support phone number and when I call it says they don't do support through the phone and I have left several messages with my phone number. I am goind in circles and going nowhere. I paid over 75 dollars in a game that my girlfriend ** unable to play. She played it 30 minutes and they refuse to refund the money. The game does not work on her computer and they have refunded before for this kind of thing. This is a scam. They dont really offer refunds for issues like gameplay. They are using false advertising by saying you can refund a game when you actually cant and have technical issues.Initial Complaint

I purchased Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition on 10/12/22 through Steam. I says the game has 'full controller support' but I've not been able to get a controller to work. I only purchased the game because it was supposed to be playable with a controller. I've looked up troubleshooting on several sites and forums. Many people have similar issues and no resolution. I requested a refund but it was automatically denied because it's been over 14 days since it was purchased. Steam states they don't support troubleshooting and refers me to the game publisher who won't help because this issue is with Steam. To whom it may concern,This is *****************, who is a buyer of Valve Steam store. I purchased a Steam Deck in December 2022, however, the device was broken after arrival. Therefore, I went ahead to request for a RMA/replacement. I did return the device immediately after I got the return label. Valve did get the machine, but they did not send the replacement unit in time. And, the new unit did not send out by Valve till January, when I was on holiday during winter break of university. (I am a student at ***********************.) Hence, I would not be able to get back to home till Jan 19. The doorman received the package on Jan 14.However, due to the extremely long time window it took for Valve to fix my machine/send me a replacement unit, I already got something else instead. I did not open the package of the replacement unit at all, and I thought it would be reasonable for me to request for a refund by returning the replacement unit. But, Steam support decide to ghost my request and deny that I am eligible for refund even for such inconveniences. I logged onto steam on Jan 19, and I was shown a message that I had disputed a charge for Skyrim and that the content was revoked. I did not file a dispute, and after confirming with my bank that they did not either, I contacted customer support to no avail. I am currently out $42.39, the ability to play my game, and the ability to purchase games and in-game purchases on Steam. My purchase history also shows I was supposedly refunded $16.52, which is not what I paid. I would like this restriction lifted and my game returned to me. In regards to money paid to the Steam webpage for digital gaming goods related to the game "Empire of Sin". The developer is "****** Games" publisher "Paradox Interactive" and hosted by "Steam or Valve **** on their page. I bought the "Premium edition" which includes two expansion packs. The have provided the first unit, the second has not been announced by the developer and no updates have been given in over a year. Their company site indicates they have moved on to other projects. I have asked Steam for a refund in which they refused because the game was played. Now the game has been out for 2 years now and yes it was played in anticipation of the new expansion coming which was never announced. This constitutes false advertisement and they have not fulfilled their promise to the product sold. Monetary value seeking a full refund for the game, Steam can also remove it from my account. The total is $46.89.Thank you for any assistance.
