I purchased FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition through the STEAM platform on January 4th. I had several performance issues that made playing impossible and after 2 hours of trying to find fixes I gave up. I have dozens of other games and never have an issue with them. On the same day of the purchase I submitted a refund request through steam because I had less than the 2 hours of playtime that they have as a requirement. But since it had DLC electronic Items, they said I needed to get into contact with EA sports. I have not played the 2 hours they put as a maximum before a refund. I tried different contact options with no success, then since the only thing they said was contact EA I tried that.After numerous contacts with EA sports they have stopped writing back, and only provided links to sites which did not solve the issue, I also don't want to spend more time trying to solve the issue that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Although there was an electronic Item, I have not been able to use it, this is a sports game and I was even unable to play a single match. Because of this all I want is my money back or credit to use in a different game. I spent money on a product that I am unable to use. This is also a game that only has a short life cycle as FIFA 24 is only a few months away, so it's not worth it if I have to wait months until they finally fix it. I'd rather have a refund but I don't think its unreasonable to ask for a credit to my account.Initial Complaint

Valve owns a website/platform named Steam, part of a private LLC known as Steam Partnership.They have a Client application, named Steam ( my name, my concept ).Well, they have linked their website/platform, into the client application.And abusive moderators/support staff have been stalking me for months.Placing illegal bans and suspensions on my account.Because I am Transgender, and I speak up about things that are wrong on the platform. Far as bugs, and abusive psychologically disturbed Staff.Now I am being denied access to my accounts advertised features. Illegally.Cant contact their Support staff, cause Support blocked all messages after I got a former Staff in trouble.Then turned around and made a fraudulent forums ban, which turned into a community ban automatically somehow.This company is engaging in deceptive business practices, and is in fact illegally denying clients access to their account. I purchased a game on steam (owned by valve corp) and the game wouldn't load, it constantly froze at the initial loading screen. I gave the game time hoping it would eventually load, to no avail. After hours of troubleshooting I decided to give up and get a refund but was denied because of the time spent trying to fix the game. Their policy is you cannot exceed 2 hours of game play but I wasn't able to play the game at all, the "time played" was spent in the main menu troubleshooting or waiting in vain for the game to eventually load.Initial Complaint

Exactly one day after inputting my phone number to validate a credit card and make a purchase, I am getting multiple spam solicitor phone calls, one at 6am. I have not entered my phone number anywhere else recently. Valve appears to be directly selling user personal data info required to make purchases to third party solicitor scammers.Initial Complaint

They sold me a game that does not work they wont respond to my refund request I bought game Jan 1st and never played it nor dlc. I opened a new steam account for the purpose of purchasing video games. I deposited $25 with a prepaid Mastercard and steam accepted my payment then flagged my account as fraudulent which made impossible to use the $25 I deposited. I purchased a tiny game ($1.29 - I know, but its the principal here) for my son from Steam during a sale on 11/29 and scheduled it for delivery on 12/22 as an early Christmas present. When it 'arrived' it didn't work (he also disliked my choice of game for him). So, I attempted to refund it and get him something else. There is no way to contact support directly so I had to file a ticket. Since I had scheduled the delivery for more than 14 days ahead, their support replies (4 of them) consistently told me I was out of the refund window (the very day it was delivered). I tried multiple routes assuming they weren't actually reading my text explanation, but eventually I realized they just don't care. If you read through the support forums you can see people at **** end wanting to contact a real person and never getting anything resolved.Initial Complaint

The business has a completely useless and utterly incompetent customer service! The children working there refuse to give me access to my old account.My email is connected to an account and Steam refuses to let me reset my password and give me acces to my old account. I have a friends list, thousands of hours and thousands of dollars in games invested. They asked for additional information and I supplied it. Then they asked for information that is genuinely impossible to supply and now during the holidays none the less I cant get in touch with my old friends.My email is linked to my old account and I cant even start a new account because their system says that an existing account is already active. My son downloaded a game from Steam who he has used for his games for years. The game took over the steering wheel that was used to play the game. It turned the wheel back and forth so fast that it knocked my sons computer monitor over and broke it. It was so violent it knocked the computer tower off the table and broke it and there is absolutely no one to contact for help - Businesses that do not have support and do not take responsibility for their company's actions should not be allowed to exist. Please help!!! I have lost about $2000 in having to replace the curved monitor and the gaming computer for my son. Not to mention the chunk of table that came off the desk when the steering wheel was out of control. The only way to make it stop was to unplug it from the power source.Initial Complaint

They won't issue a refund for a game that is within the 14 day time period. Their system rolls up playtime hours so they can avoid giving refunds to those who buy games on their platform. I've been trying to get a refund off of just one game and they keep closing my tickets and refusing to let me talk to someone higher up. All they do is take money and ignore users. Bad business and it's angering me so bad. I'm within my rights to get a refund off of what i emailed them and tickets I sent to get it resolved. They don't care. They are just as bad as another company that i used use. I want it back on my account. Their policy doesn't say they don't refund at all. They ignore it, that's why.
