I have a double-click issue with my mouse so when I was checking the Steam Points Shop I miss clicked on some random item and accidentally clicked on the "Purchase" button. On the 24th of November 2022 I purchased a Valve Steamdeck 512gb unit for $697.68. In error, I had it shipped to my previous address. It had left their warehouse at 1:30pm in the 25th of November. At 4:30pm, I realized my error and contacted the shipping company, ***** and informed them of the error. I was told that updates to the delivery address were to be done by the shipper, Valve Corporation. At 4:39pm I submitted a ticket using the company's Steam software service, the default method for contacting customer support, and informed them of the error and provided my correct address.There were 10 different correspondences between myself and customer support agents where I inquired about the status of the address update. During this time I had continued to contact ***** to do what I could from my end. They also verified that they had not received the address update request from Steam and informed me that I would be unable to make changes to the delivery information despite being the recipient.The package was delivered to the wrong address on the 28th of November 2022. Further correspondence with Valve Corporation led to their customer service revealing their warehouse staff do not work over the weekends so there were no staff to contact ***** to make the correction.Initial Complaint

Steam account was hacked and email and phone numbers were changed. Steam has no phone support and will not respond to emails. I have spent hundreds of dollars over the years on Steam games and cant get Steam representative to respond to emails to rectify the issue. Valve Corporation, through their online distribution platform, "Steam", has been selling a piece of software titled "Call of Duty, Modern Warfare II". Though my computer more than exceeds the minimum requirements to run the software, it is causing system-wide errors on my PC, making the game unplayable. I have held off on requesting a refund because it is common practice for new games to have a grace ****** after launch before the "official" start of the game, which Call of Duty calls "Seasons", in which time bug fixes are introduced. These technical problems have not been resolved, but the company has had time to implement a cash shop, which is malfeasance on their part. Point blank, the software does not function according to normal, standard expectations. It refuses to run on hardware that, by the company's own metrics, it should be able to run on. Steam is refusing my request for a refund as I've "played" over the 2 hour **** (which is preposterously short, especially when you take into consideration the sheer length of time it takes to trouble shoot and fix technical problems with many pieces of software). I receive only form responses. This is unacceptable. They have allowed a product that is demonstrably unfit for purpose to be sold through their store front and I want my money back. I am not asking for freebies here. I want only to not suffer what amounts to a bait and switch! It is a reasonable expectation that software actually functions, and it is the sales platform's responsibility to stand beside the products it offers.Initial Complaint

I purchased EA Fifa 23 game for PC, through Steam (Valve) on a preorder. The game was buggy and barely ran the first few days without crashing. I had hoped an update in the next few days May fix the problem. An update did arrive and rendered the game completely unable to load. I attempted many work around found online and even went through Steam and EA websites to attempt to resolve the issue. It is a known issue with the game and thousands cannot play. There is no timeline for a fix. I paid 80$+ for this game I cannot play. I asked for a refund through EA, they said they cant as I purchased through Steam. When I attempt a refund through steam, they say its outside the window for a refund even if the game is unplayable. My next step is a lawsuit, so Steam, better refund soon. I purchased a game for my son's birthday for ***** and after 4 hours working on the game trying to get the game to work, we realize the game picture was in poor quality along with other problems, which wasn't his gaming computer. I notice the returned policy which attack is not applied to the customers steam will offer refund for in-game purchases within any Valve-developed games within forty-eight hours of purchase, so long as the in-game item has not been consumed, modified or transferred.I would like a refund because we were never able to enjoy the game purchased.Initial Complaint

I have had a steam account for 19 years, I recently attempted to login and found that my account was still linked to my old phone number and I was unable to login, I contacted support and they had me verify multiple addresses and payment information which they admitted were correct but they insist that I need to provide them with information from nearly 20 years ago which I no longer have. I have verified that I am the purchaser and even given them the exact credit card information which they said matched as well as the PayPal transaction ID and my address that was on file which also was confirmed to match. Now they refuse to return access to my account so I am unable to use the multiple hundreds of dollars worth of games that I purchased legally. The support is illiterate and does not seem to even read my reply before telling me that I won't be allowed to use my account.Customer Answer

I haven't had access to my account in about seven years because my kid broke my gaming laptop. I'm about to receive a new gaming PC and I'm trying to access my account and I can't. I spent hundreds of dollars with this company during that time and all I want is access to what I spent my hard earned money on. They are having me jump through hoops to try to gain access to my account. I have had accounts that I forgot passwords for in the past and I haven't had this much issues gaining access to my account. All of this because I forgot my password.
