    Dear Better Business Bureau,I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to request your assistance regarding an ongoing issue I have encountered with my Steam account. Despite providing Steam support with ample documentation to verify my identity and ownership of the account, I have yet to be granted access to ***** resolve this matter, I have provided Steam with the following information:The addresses where I resided while I had access to the account.The address of the credit card used for purchasing games on the account.A clear picture of my photo ID, food stamps card, and debit card all of which display the same name as both the account holder and the cardholder responsible for the purchases.Detailed information about the type of card used to purchase the games, as well as the name associated with it.Despite providing all requested documentation, Steam has still refused to grant me access to my account, and I am unable to resolve this issue through their support channels. This situation has caused considerable frustration, and I am seeking your assistance in escalating this matter to ensure a fair resolution.I appreciate your attention to this issue and kindly ask for your help in working with Steam to ensure my access to the account is restored.     I purchased the digital game Monster ****** ***** on Steam, but I am unable to play it due to performance issues. I requested a refund within the 2-hour playtime limit, but Steam incorrectly tracked my time as 6 hours due to shader compilation running while I was away from my ***** actual playtime, as shown in the game itself, is 1 hour, 1 minute. Despite explaining this multiple times, Steam has denied my refund request 3 times without a proper review. Their automated system is wrongly penalizing me for something out of my control.Steam's refund policy states that games can be refunded if played under 2 hours and/or within 14 days of purchase, and I meet both requirements. I am requesting a manual review and a refund, as I have been unfairly denied by their automated system.I would like Valve to approve my refund Thank you for your time.

    My son, **** ********, is a minor-he is 15 years old. He has a "STEAM" account with ********************** for purchasing video games, selling and buying digital merchandise pertaining to said games. My email address (I am his mother) is attached to this account as is my ****** account. Earlier this month-his account was "hacked" by some individuals located in ****** and my son naturally noticed this right away. He did everything necessary to lock down his account, reset passwords, etc. (I have email messages detailing all of this). He sent a message to Valve Corp. explaining what happened. It was quite obvious because what the scammers did essentially drained his account of the roughly $300.00 that was in it at that time. I have called Valve/Steam Support and left multiple messages reporting this and requesting a call back-as their automated system directs one to do. I only received a call back once and nothing was resolved-I was told to call and leave another message. This amount of money is significant for a 15 year old minor. It is clear what happened and the fact that nothing is being done to resolve the issue is reprehensible. Any credit card company or bank stands by their accounts and if an account is compromised they rectify the problem. I expect the same from this corporation.

    Valve has a predatory return policy of you can't return if you play a game for more than 2 hours or bought it over 14 days ago.On 2/26/25 I preordered a game that came out 2/28/25. The game took over 2 hours to apply the shaders and then proceeded to crash every 15 minutes and Valve will not provide a refund because the total play time is now over 2 hours even though it's in the 14 day period. I spent several hours trying to fix it and it froze my computer for several hours at a point as well.

    On March 4, 2025 hackers got into my account and spent all the money in my wallet. I have Steam Guard enabled and nobody has access to my email. They say they have no responsibility and will not refund the money that was stolen from my account. They have full responsibility for their lax security and polices that encourage fraud. Why would someone buy random stuff for my account unless they were profitting from it?

    Urgent: Account Compromise and Stolen Items Request for Immediate Assistance Dear Steam Support Team,I am writing to report a security breach and unauthorized access to my Steam account. My account has been hacked, and a significant amount of valuable skins has been stolen and traded to another account without my permission. Below are the details of the situation:* Date and Time of Incident: The hacker logged into my account at approximately 2:10 PM today, and traded all of my skins at around 2:11 PM.* Unauthorized Transactions: The items were traded to an account I do not recognize and have never interacted with. I have never traded with this person, nor am I friends with them on Steam.     I bought Civilization 7 which is a computer game about a week ago on Feb 24th. When I click on the game to open it I get the message " a crash has been detected and a report has been generated. This report contains information from the time of the crash and will help developers fix the issue" Would you like to submit this report? Yes or No. I click yes and the game does not load. The game does not work at all!

    Game will not work consistently. Tried all weekend, out of 72 hours was able to play a few and have maybe 5 stuck at home menu screen.

    Dear BBB ********************,I am writing to file a complaint regarding the unreasonable restrictions imposed on my Steam account by ********************** Support. My Steam ID is *****************, and my account username is **********. Recently, while playing CS:GO 2 on the Steam platform, my account was suddenly restricted, with a notification stating that my account was at risk. However, I have had no issues accessing or playing other games on the platform, and my account is fully secured with email login and a mobile authenticator.Steam Support is demanding that I verify ownership of my account using the original email address associated with the account. This requirement is highly unreasonable. Is a user expected to use the same email address for their entire life? My original email address is no longer accessible due to long-term disuse, yet Steam refuses to accept alternative verification methods, leaving me unable to access my account.
