    To Whom It May Concern at the Better Business Bureau (BBB),I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the unjust ban of my CS:GO 2 account on **********************. My account details are as follows:Steam Username: lexa22319 Steam ID: ***************** My account was banned due to an alleged violation related to phone number association. However, I was not provided with a clear explanation or specific details about the violation. I have always used my personal phone number for account security and am unaware of any wrongdoing. Steams support team has only provided generic responses, leaving me unable to resolve the ******** a dedicated CS:GO player, I have invested significant time and resources into my account. The ban has disrupted my gaming experience and caused me to lose access to my in-game progress and items. I kindly request the BBBs assistance in mediating this matter with Steam to:Provide a detailed explanation of the ban.Reinstate my account if the ban was issued in error.Improve communication and support for users.I am willing to provide any necessary documentation, such as proof of account ownership and evidence of my phone numbers legitimacy.     Purchased a game, played it for 20 minutes, shut the game down, somehow steam shows me playing for 20 hours. Now they refuse to refund me. ******** customer service

    Steam is refusing me access to my account with hundreds of dollars of games licensed to it simply because I haven't used it since college (about 15 years ago). I was able to verify that I am the owner of the email address associated with the account, and provide them all my billing information from the time, as well as proof of purchases through my ****** account, and they are refusing me access still. They want me to provide a photo of a CD code that I got rid of once it was linked to my account. This is theft. Steam should provide me access to my account or refund me the value of my games so I can create a new account and repurchase the licenses I currently hold.

    Dear BBB Team, Greetings! Valve, which owns the Steam gaming platform, unreasonably issued a ban on my account in Steam. This ban applies only to gifting games as a gift to other accounts. I hasten to note that this is the second such case. And although in the first I managed to get them to unblock, now they refuse me.     their policy is after 2 hours of game play they don't TYPICALLY issue a refund. But this game is large and i played for about 5 hours to get a feel for it. I hate the game it has no tutorials that are helpful and that is why it took me 5 hours to decide. I feel like it is unfair to charge me over $100 for a game i don't want to play and that a game is extremely difficult to learn to play. I work full time and don't have 10 hours a day I can dedicate to learning to play a game. I asked for a refund it was denied immediately. I asked to speak with a supervisor multiple times but instead they just denied all requests. I feel helpless as I spend my hard earned money with this company and to be flatly rejected is extremely frustrating.

    Purchased Civilization VII early access package for PC. My computer met all of the requirements, I downloaded the game, played for 4 hrs and 7 mins when it suddenly crashed. I report the crash, went through the support steps to check and fix the issue. The game still crashes every time I try to open it so I requested a refund since their fixes did not work. They refused a refund since I played the game for over two hours. So essentially I payed $130 for a game that doesnt work and they are refusing a refund. Just like any other purchase, I am unsatisfied with the product and want a refund since I cant even use it. I dont think I should be punished for playing rhe game two hours over their cut off time.

    I have reached out to Steam support twice about this issue, both responses were one in the same and neither of them solved or addressed my issues.This is the problem:My Steam account was compromised after downloading and launching the game 'PirateFi' (App ID: ******** from the Steam Store. Valve recently emailed all users who launched this game, confirming that the developer uploaded builds containing **suspected malware**. This malware directly led to the unauthorized access and hijacking of my account. The malware also had access to my PC from the day I downloaded the game (Feb. 8th 12:00PM) until the day I was informed by Valve of the infection via email (Feb. 11th at 6:20PM), which means that approximately 335+ of my accounts were compromised for a significant length of ******* a result, I have suffered significant losses, including:1. Steam Items: 78 of my items were sold on the Community Market for $0.02 each, Items I have been collecting since I created my steam account back in 2013. They were valuable to me and far more valuable than what they were fraudulently sold for.2. Steam Points: ***** Steam Points in the form of awards were given to another account (kthsbwsq).3. Financial Losses: Unauthorized access to my ****** account led to purchases totaling $700 in gift cards that were already claimed by the time I was aware of the incident and there are no returns or refunds.I have already taken steps to secure my account, including resetting my Steam Guard and running a full system scan to remove the malware. However, the damage caused by this breach is significant and most definitely could have been prevented. I trust that Valve (Steam) will take responsibility for its role in this incident.I look forward to your prompt response,Thank you.

    Subject: Complaint Regarding Inconsistent Name Change and Chat Restrictions on Steam Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Valve Corporation regarding issues I have experienced with their Steam platform. When I first registered my account, I was able to change my username as desired. According to the Steam Subscriber Agreement, there are no limitations specified concerning the types of names I may use. However, Valve has recently restricted my ability to change my Steam account nameeffectively disabling this feature indefinitely putting some random numbers forever as a replacement?Additionally, I have encountered a new problem: I am now unable to use the chat function in Dota 2, one of Valves popular games. The inability to change my username and access features such as chatting represents a reduction in the level of service initially agreed upon when I created my account.This situation has put me at a significant disadvantage, as I have invested hundreds of dollars in in-game items on Steam, which, due to these restrictions, I am now unable to transfer or utilize on another platform. I believe this limitation not only violates the original service agreement but also unfairly restricts my user rights, negatively impacting the value of my investments.I respectfully request that Valve reconsider these policies and restore my ability to change my account name as well as regain full access to chat features in all their supported games, ensuring that current subscribers receive at least the level of service they were originally promised.This is my last warning to the company before proceeding this to the ** court. I have much more criminal complaints and a class action on my hand. I picture of money i have on items that can't be withdrawn.Thank you for your attention to this matter.     Steam/valve approved an RMA for my Steam Deck hardware in 11/2022 but never followed through by providing me a shipping label. I recently followed up on this and Steam/valve are still refusing to honor the **** I've asked multiple times to speak with a manager but I'm getting bounced around between support agents who are sending me scripted responses.
