    Take bad reviews with a grain of salt. Most of the bad reviews are from disgruntled customers with an axe to grind and do not represent the majority of Steam players.In my experience Steam has been for the most part a reliable service, except for of course the Tuesday maintenance, but otherwise it works most of the time, and can even play offline for most games.The drawback however is that it is hard to get a human with Support when I need one, but mainly that is for issues with the Community as I rarely have technical failures.

    They sell games that have bugs (errors in the code that prevent you from playing the game all of the way through). By the time you discover that you cant finish the game, they refuse to give you a refund because youve already played for two hours. Youre better off going to the store and buying hard copies of your games. Avoid this company.

    I have had a multitude of bad experiences with this company. In my attempts to log in I am made to fill out a captcha to confirm Im not a bot. For some reason this companys captcha is ridiculously slow, annoying, and complicated. Now Ive changed devices and no longer had the password to my steam account. I tried to reset the password but got caught in and infinite loop of captcha and error codes. Finally I was able to change the password and when I went to log with the new one, it still didnt work. So I tried once again and got caught in an infinite loop of emails and verifications that was just a circle back to each other. I have since filed a steam support email but have yet to receive anything.

    everything is broken no way of getting the games you paid for and none to help. Stay far away from this company they will just take your money then take your games.

    steam is a joke and these game companys that put these broken games out and steam backs them bye not giving you a refund on that broken game they all should be shut down 2 hours is not enough time i spent 5.6 hours trying all the fixes to get the game to stop crashing to no avail i should be able to get a refund at this time because i did not receive a working product and it was within 14 days

    As mentioned previously by another reviewer, "No way to contact support other than there naviation system that leads you no where. There backend support is garbage and is constantly down causing users not to be able to connect to servers. i would give them a 0 but there is no option for this." This is extremely infuriating.

    This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. **************** is non existent I don't know how people trust them with their money. Days without any answer which kind of makes me glad I never got my steam deck order through because imagine if you need help with the device. You are stuck waiting for DAYS for something you shelled out a lot of money. They banned me for trying to buy their 770 CAD device. I didn't do anything. Registered account and bought the Steam deck after seeing some tiktoks. Purchased confirmed money taken and next day whole thing canceled and banned with no explanation. Apparently I offended them by trying to give them money. That's how insane the whole thing is. Some forums say you need established history apparently you can't just get into it by buying steam deck and then purchasing games??? Insanity. Where I'm supposed to play the said games then? This is ****** of gaming??? **** and bought rog ally out of spite. No history no pick and choose customer gave them my money and they took it apparently it all it takes everywhere except ***************** steam deck that don't even hire enough customer service and have no customer service numbers to call to.

    This company is a hotbed of right wing hatred, as mentioned in a 2022 report by ***** as a potential recruiting tool. It's TOS are pure fiction that it uses to hammer dissenting opinions and operates well outside the boundaries of decency, ethics, or fair business practices.One routinely encounters long-standing hate speech that violates ****************'s anti-discrimination laws as Steam is the one that controls the content of those forums. They are happy to see paying customers abused for not having opinions that make them a buck.The entire business model is designed to ****** a dependence of its customer on the service, as one purchases game licenses through Steam that can ONLY be used on their platform. Which means if you disagree with them, they can destroy thousands of dollars of investment on a whim.Though they have customer service, they refer almost all issues (including those relating to the functioning of their own platform) to public forums where one is subject to abuse and harassment by their unseemly customer base.In an ethical state, the AG's ************************* would be shutting them down. But they've in ******** and have money, so laws don't apply to them, I guess.

    I bought Star Wars: Jedi Survivor for my personal computer on Steam and it continues to crash. Every time I try to see if I fixed the issue, it crashes again. Because of this, any time I click on the game to fix the issues of it crashing, it is adding on play time and has now set me at five hours. I emailed them today about issuing me a refund because I have a product that is not working at all and I am really unhappy about it, and they said that because it is past 14 days and a two hour play maximum, they are refusing to refund me. I have been trying this whole time to fix the issues and they wouldnt fix, on top of dealing with major health issues which always come first, especially when they worsen for any reason. I am now out $80+ dollars because of a product that doesnt work. They are the ones who were adding time to my game which seems extremely suspicious almost like they dont want you to get the refund. I am extremely upset.
