  This company claims to be a small US business, but is misleading people at best. Their products are shipped from India. I ordered a couch and chair 8/9/23 and did not receive it until 12/29/23- far past the 11 weeks they claimed it would take. There is no way to speak to anyone during the ordering process or after that. Now that it’s arrived, I’m not even sure if it’s actually leather. It’s been a nightmare.

  Hello Elizabeth. We have a 30-day money back guarantee on all furniture as publicly advertised on our site (Please see our “Refund Policy”). If you aren't satisfied for any reason, we'll pick it up free of charge along with a full refund. We’ve reached out to you several times to try and coordinate the pickup to no response. If you change your mind and would like to do so at any point, please let us know. In terms of the leather feeling “off”, you’re correct. We apply a thin, protective clear-coat that we apply to all of our furniture as described in the “Materials & Construction” section of our website. Once leather is dyed (which we do in-house ourselves), it needs to be sealed to prevent dye-transfer and add additional durability, otherwise it is extremely prone to scratching and staining. Especially in active households full of rambunctious two and four-leggers, as is the case for many of our customers. In terms of communication, you were kept up to date on the status of your order and able to track everything in real-time. You had our direct contact as do all of our customers, which you yourself utilized and we promptly responded to. And you are correct, we proudly make our furniture in India as explained on the “Our Story” page of our website. We compound this transparency by sharing the tracking info so you can track it all the way from Mundra. But regardless, that's why we have our return policy. Anything less wouldn't be acceptable with us being online-only. You have our contact info and we’d be happy to coordinate that pickup and refund for you at any time, just let us know.

  I was nervous about ordering a leather couch online! But it is as beautiful and great quality as you see in the pictures! It took around 5 months as we expected- but it was worth the wait!

  awesome couch! would give it 5 stars but it took 4 months to het to me after ordering so one star off for that and the hassle of frequent requests for order updates.

  As similar reviews stated-hesitant regarding purchase-given time frame and being unable to physically see it before purchasing. However was extremely pleased with final product. I was always kept up to date on progress of my order. The company communicated well and followed up after my order was delivered. They do fantastic work and very happy with my purchase.

  I was searching for a firm leather sofa because our old Italian one was too soft, which is bad for low-back pain. I found this excellent looking sofa via a web search. The price looked too good to be true, so we harbored some reservations regarding the acquisition and the extended delivery timeframe, and the uncertainty surrounding its quality. But we loved the pictures so much that we ultimately proceeded with the purchase of the couch. Upon its arrival, our apprehensions were dispelled. The couch proved to be beautiful, perfectly firm; it is a joy to sit on it. The exemplary customer care and consideration from Cole came on top of these. She reimbursed us for the cost of the help that we hired to remove the old sofa from the house (which was a tricky job) and to bring in the new one.   We were at first hesitant about making a purchase, as the product was made overseas, would take months to receive and we had no way of knowing what the quality would be. We decided to make the purchase of the couch, and upon receipt, all worries were gone. The couch is fantastic, the color, the craftsmanship, and most importantly, the customer care and concern from Cole was top notch. Cole and his folks at Rising Tide could teach a class to other businesses nowadays on how to do customer care. We are definitely going to purchase the chairs to finish out the room.

  I had been looking for a long time on just the right couch to get. I knew I wanted something that was of quality and that would withstand the test of time and finally found Rising Tide Design Co. I ordered the 93" Chesterfield with tufted bench seat in oxblood and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER! It is true, your order will take time to prepare and ship, but that is what you are ordering ... a beautiful bespoke piece of furniture. There were issues with the final delivery leg but was entirely the issue of the actual delivery company and was in no way a reflection on RTDC; in fact, when I sent an email telling them about my issues, Cole (the owner and super great guy to chat with btw) worked quickly to make sure that the deliver was completed.  I love the couch and have had so many compliments, it was exactly what I was looking for and if I ever want to get a matching couch or set of chairs I know just where to look. Thank you Rising Tide ... and Cole ... for making such great couches and for all the charitable work you do both in Beloit and India, the world could use more companies like yours!

  My experience with the Rising Tide Design Company was excellent and Cole showed outstanding customer service! We love our Chesterfield couch. It is beautiful with great craftsmanship. We hope to purchase an armchair in the near future.

  I looked at and considered this Polo Green Chesterfield online for a long time before I realized no other couch could possibly compare, and made the purchase. This is such a uniquely magnificent sofa, aesthetically and in craftsmanship! Any glitches were dealt with by Cole personally and this really is the best sofa imaginable. I plan to take good care, conditioning it, and I think it will remain a fabulous highlight in my home. It is beyond gorgeous!
