$2745.00 was paid to ******* for a 99 ****** 2.7L I-4 used engine on 11/22/22 reference invoice ******. I never received a tracking number as of 11/29/22. I canceled the order on 11/29/22. Per their FAQ section at the very last statement- it says a 10% restocking fee will be issued for all cancellations. If the item has shipped youll be liable to pay for shipping. It never shipped, I never received a tracking number. I was charged 25% for cancelling my order. I emailed them and explained Ill agree to the 10%, but I do not agree to the extra 15%. I never received an answer. I was only refunded $2058.75. The correct refund shouldve been 10% off of $2745= $274.5= to a refund of $2470.50.Business Response

The complainant purchased a used engine on 11/22/2020 and is requesting a full refund.
The complainant purchased a used engine on 11/22/2022 and the order was canceled on 11/29/2022.
The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
4. All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and processing fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs.
All the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are prominently listed here: https://used.*******.com/warranty.php
After further review, we did charge the complainant a 25% handling and processing fee for canceling their order. The complainant was under the assumption that the processing and handling fee was 10%, which is for remanufactured engines. Used engines have a 25% handling and processing fee for canceled orders. Since the complainant did cancel their used engine order, they were charged a 25% handling and processing fee. The complainants request for a refund minus 10% handing and processing fee is not approved. We did issue a refund to the complainant on 11/30/2022 in the amount of $2058.75.
We do hope this closes the matter and please let us know if you need any further information from us.

[Please type your response here.]4. All returned parts or cancelled orders are subject to a 25% handling and processing fees plus customer assumes all shipping costs. Q ?What is *******.com Return Policy?
A: Order Cancellation: All orders will incur a 10% restock fee if cancelled after placing your order. In addition, if the part has been shipped, you will be liable for the cost of shipping to return the item to us. This only pertains to products which have not been installed. If the product has been installed, we will require a manager to review and decide if the product is eligible for return. Furthermore, it is a requirement that you speak to us in advance before attempting a return.
I was not requesting a full refund. I agreed to be charged the 10% fee for the cancelled order as stated above. I never received a tracking number, how is it proven it was ever shipped? That's why I'm not agreeing to the full 25% fee for the cancelled order. I was charged an extra 15% for nothing. That's not good business, when you mention it being SUBJECT TO A 25% HANDLING A PROCESSING FEE IN ONE SITE AND THEN STATE ALL ORDERS WILL INCUR A 10% RESTOCK FEE on another. This company thrives on this very issue. Charging hard working HONEST people a fee for nothing. As I stated, I see no issue at all with being charged the 10% fee!Regards,

Purchased an engine that failed within **** miles of installation. I have tried to submit a warranty replacement claim several times and I keep getting the run around. I keep getting different answers every time you call. I have submitted the recommended documents serval times. At one point I was told they were doing a quality check to ship the replacement and the next call I was asked to submit documents again. This company is the biggest scam out there. I purchased an engine and transmission from quality used engine in October of 2021. The motor and transmission were for a 2010 ****** Altima the years for this transmission go from 2008-20012. They sent me the right engine but not the right transmission. I didnt notice it bc I was unable to actually work on the car for about 8-9 months due to getting nerve blocks in my back and working at my job so much. When I called about the issue they told me warranty ran out and I told them it shouldnt be a warranty issue because it is the completely wrong year model transmission. So they went on to tell me they have a ****** specialist that is there and had him call me to tell me that it will work if I just change a few small components. I spent an extra $200 to buy the components and got the transmission in and lo and behold the transmission doesnt even work. I called the dealership and asked if they can program it to work and they said no that whoever told me that was lying to me just to get me to let it go. Now I have a car that is no good and paid $1,500 for a worthless transmission that they refuse to do anything about.Business Response

Well it started out with an engine that I purchased along with a Warranty. Well the Warranty covered 5year or ****** which ever came faster. Its only been 2 years and ****** miles later. The Engine seized up and is now in the mechanic shop for over 6 weeks because the Company that sold me this engine and warranty are running scams. They have several companies under this same umbrella that have been doing nothing but dodging my emails and calls. Emails over **************************** the past 10 days alone. ****** the warranty **** mngr had me jump through hoops to get all this information of the engine block and pictures and diagnostic test and all this extra stuff my mechanic had to do just to get these pictures was a lot of work. They are now answering my calls and leave me on hold for today 11/30/22 since 8am I woke up just to call because my car is my only source of an income. Rental cars are very expensive. Long story shortened they are not even available or trying to help me. So Ive left them several Emails and voicemails and well I feel Ive been duped and need some help. Ive spent **** on the engine alone then another **** just for the swap and re install. The warranty should cover the damage parts and labor. Ive been trying so hard to be patient but that w**** thin 2 weeks ago. Please try to help me. Or do I need a lawyer. All Im simply requesting is they honor there warranty and send me the replacement engine and for them to cover parts and labor. Im outta work now because of this and have spent through any and all my savings to pay bills and I dont have any sources of income now because of This.Business Response

In response to the complainants rebuttal, it was determined that the issues the complainant was having was not covered under the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty and since it has been past 30 days, which the complainant did agree to with the purchase of the engine, so a refund is not approved.
The complainant purchased a used engine from us 07/18/2022 and is requesting a full refund.
The complainant purchased a used engine on 07/18/2022 and the engine went out for delivery on 07/25/2022.The complainant alleges that the engine was in terrible condition and their mechanic had to put it in and take it out 3 times and replace external and internal parts. Due to this the complainant wanted to return the engine and request a refund.
The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
1. Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts, such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, flywheel etc.
15. We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non replaced seals, gaskets or filters.

On December 2, 2021 I (Davie) purchase a 5.4 Liter V8 engine for a **** F150 **** at the price of $2,870.00. The engine was installed where the mechanic discovered that the engine was not in working order. I contacted the business and was told i could receive a replacement engine or have the current engine that they first sent repaired by the mechanic and they would pay for parts and labor to have the engine in working order. I selected to have the first engine repaired because i was afraid that I would receive another bad engine and have to pay to have the first engine taking out and the replacment put in at an additional cost of $2500.00. The engine was carried to a certified **** dealership (******************* in ******, **) for repairs where I was then told by their mechanics that the engine was unrepairable and a new engine was needed. I then notified SWEngine(Engine Shopper LLC) when I told to send an estimate from the repair shop which i submitted to them. I was told by SWEngine(Engine Shopper LLC) that they couldn't pay that amount. And since the purchase had exceeded 30 days I could not receive a full refund. I made an offer to accept half of the purchase price and I have not received a response and when calling no one ever answer or gives a call back after leaving numerous voicemails.Initial Complaint
