I bought the transmission on March 13, 2023 from invoice number [*****] ***** at Quality Used Transmission for my sons truck. I gave the mileage [*******] and the serial number [*****************] and I never received anything else other than the transmission and converter delivered by them on a pallet. My son had a fall out with his friend and was not able to install it until now. The transmission doesn't do any thing. The transmission pump is not applying pressure to anything. I called and waited along time on hold then I was told that there was no warranty. I asked why? They said I had to fill out a warranty form to register it within 10 days of receiving it. I never received anything to fill out . I spoke with ******* and asked to speak with a supervisor and was not transferred to one and told I would receive the same answer. I don't want anyone else to experience this problem and lose money on a warranty that is falsely said.

The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
14: We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non replaced seals, gaskets or filters.

11: The part must be installed AND warranty activated within 10 Business Days of delivery or the Free Warranty shall default to a 6 Month ****************** Warranty from the original date of purchase and installation for engines and 3 Month ****************** Warranty from the original date of purchase and installation for all other purchased parts.

All the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are prominently listed here: ***********************************************************

After review, the complainant never did install a filter or show a filter was installed which voided the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty. Since the Free Warranty was void due to the filter not being installed and the Free Warranty not being activated within 10 days form delivery, the complainants request for a replacement transmission is not approved.

On 6-30-2023 I ordered a used engine from SW. for ******* dollars. They lost my engine and I missed my appointment for installation. Engine was advertised with only ****** miles ********** claimed it had way far more miles than that. When engine was installed it had bad oil pressure which I informed SW of problem. Engine gave up at ************************ $3627.03 to install. This engine had 5 year ****** mile warranty.{parts and labor} They sent a second engine that oil pressure was so bad it would not run { rattled and shook } Called SW and informed them of problem. This engine cost $2900.00 which they have not paid plus still owe me a third engine. They said they would make everything right as soon as possible with apologies. For three plus weeks they don't answer the phone and quit responding to e-mails. I have been without my vehicle since June today is 12-28-2023. I live out of town so presents extreme hardship on me trying to find rides for groceries and Doctor ***** I am a disabled senior citizen living behind a friends barn in an old motor home. Next engine would probably cost $2900.00 . to install. They claim all engines inspected and tested which is an obvious farce. Also miss leading mileage advertisement. No business should treat people in this manner . No idea what the towing and maybe storage costs may be. Or money I payed people for gas for rides. Thank you for your time. Hope you can help me with this problem. HAPPY NEW YEAR *********************

On 12/1/2023 I purchased a used engine from Quality Used Engine for an amount of $2820 which included shipping. I was told that the engine would be shipped within ten days and that i would be provided with tracking information. After several call i was always told the order was being prepared for shipping. Finally, I called and ask were they prepared to give me any tracking information. I was told again that my order was still being prepared to ship. It was at this moment i informed them that I wanted to cancel the order and i requested a full refund. I was told in order to cancel the order i had to sign a cancellation form. I was emailed a form to cancel the order which i signed and emailed back. It was about an hour later i received a call from someone trying to promise me that they would ship my order in a few days. I informed her that i had cancelled the order and just wanted a refund. She said they would be charging me a restocking fee for a motor that never left their facilities. She went on to say you should have read our cancellation policy before you cancelled the order and then hung up the phone in my face. I received a deposit in my bank account on 12/14/23 for the amount of $2115. My order was not shipped when i was told it would be shipped, I never received any tracking information their fore i needed to move on to have my car fixed. I am seeking the remainder of the $2820 I paid them, which is $705.

date of transaction 11/14/2023 . 1. when the engine arrived to my home address , it was on a pallet wrapped in plastic . the wrap has been removed and the engine is still on the pallet that it was delivered on . The web page stated that their products are inspected , tested and cleaned . this engine was not inspected or tested, only painted. Rust can be seen on bolt hard rust is noticeable on them . It is noticeable that the block still had dirt / rust on it prior to being painted . I removed the left valve cover to check the condition of the head and found it to be dry, no oil had been on it for awhile. The #3 intake pushrod shows sign of abnormal wear on the tip and on the rocker arm . The right head has signs of oil . What I could see of the cam shaft it had a lot of rust on it. The push rods were caked with dried oil and sludge . I did not install the engine due to the problems that I saw . It would be a waste of time and money . I've contacted the company for updates on my claim and I was told that the supervisor has to review it and it would take about a week . Going on 30 days now . This company has a lot of bad reviews and what i have read they are bad .

I purchased a ***** engine (and paid for shipping to ****** )from this company on Aug 3 2023. After several weeks of not hearing an update on shipping, and many phone calls I finally connected with someone named "****" who shared with me that the engine had been "dropped and damaged" and they were waiting on a decision on what to do. He provided me the number for 2 persons named "****" and "****". Neither one assisted me and "****" said it wasn't their fault that it was dropped during shipping and they don't cover any shipping damage. It was very very difficult to get anyone to listen to me or answer my calls. The engine finally arrived in November and of course was dam aged and useless. I sent them pictures and the mechanic's test results of the engine showing that it was not operable. I have tried many many times to get a refund and they make that process almost impossible and are ignoring my emails.

Purchased used motor with warranty, motor if bad would reimburse labor cost to mechanic. First one was a total of $1500 labor cost at a fair deal to me . The company accepted the motor to be bad and sent a motor that was not even to be shipped to me. Error on their end took them over one month to send and correct the error. During this time I held Mechanics shop with storage and space . Followed all instructions listed by SwEngines for them to tell me over the phone they do not accept paper invoice for labor but they accepted the paper invoice the first time. All Im looking for is the reimbursement of the labor for me spending labor cost twice on them sending a bad engine

On OCT 10th we ordered a transmission from Qualityusedtransmissions.com They assured that the price included a tested transmission parts and labor warranty. We received the transmission 2 weeks later i paid $1000 to a certified mechanic who installed the transmission to find out that it was not good. It would not even recognize on the computer so it could be programmed. We have tried to contact the company multiple times. Only the sales department will answer the phone and they immediately transfer you to a warranty department that never picks up the phone. BBB Business Profiles are provided solely to assist you in exercising your own best judgment. BBB asks third parties who publish complaints, reviews and/or responses on this website to affirm that the information provided is accurate. However, BBB does not verify the accuracy of information provided by third parties, and does not guarantee the accuracy of any information in Business Profiles.

When considering complaint information, please take into account the company's size and volume of transactions, and understand that the nature of complaints and a firm's responses to them are often more important than the number of complaints.

BBB Business Profiles generally cover a three-year reporting period, except for customer reviews. Customer reviews posted prior to July 5, 2024, will no longer be published when they reach three years from their submission date. Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic. BBB Business Profiles are subject to change at any time. If you choose to do business with this company, please let them know that you checked their record with BBB.

As a matter of policy, BBB does not endorse any product, service or business. Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation. BBB charges a fee for BBB Accreditation. This fee supports BBB's efforts to fulfill its mission of advancing marketplace trust.
