I was sent an engine that did not work. They replaced the engine and assured me I would be reimbursed for labor; this is part of their labor warranty that they advertise. I have been getting the run around for months and now I am told that the labor is not covered. This is the worst company! When you call the labor department they have no clue what is going on. They tell you the issue will be escalated and that never happens. I have been hung up on multiple times. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. They need to be shut down!Engine Shopper, LLC

The complainant purchased a used engine and is requesting a labor claim.
The complainant purchased a used engine on 05/11/2023 and the engine shipped out on 05/23/2023. The complainant alleges that the engine did not work. After review we did send a replacement engine to the complainant on 07/25/2023. The complainant did request a labor claim refund.
The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
1: The engine warranty covers block, heads, and all internals. Bolt-on accessories, wiring and sensors are not warranted.
2: Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts, such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, flywheel etc.
All the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are prominently listed here: ******************************************************************
After review, it was determined that the issue with the original engine purchased was an issue due to gaskets. Per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty, gaskets are not covered. Since gaskets are not covered there would be no claim for a labor claim but in good faith we did send a replacement engine to the complainant. We do request per the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty that gaskets be replaced when the engine is installed. The complainants request for a labor claim refund is not approved.
Sincerely,

These non human ppl need to be shut down. I purchased a used engine for my 2008 Ford Expedition that supposedly had 80K~ miles on it $2,720.00 shipped to CA from Quality Used Engines which also operates under multiple names and knows how to scam the system.... I installed the engine, which cost me another $3,500.00. The engine has Internal Timing Issues (Chain) issues and clattering around and eventually they will be a catastrophic event... I have filed a dispute with ******** and they are investigating. Lisa, Joe in Sales... Shame on you, March, Perxy (or whatever you go byin Warranty Dept) Shame on you too. Dale whoever you are... The complainant purchased a used engine on 12/27/2023 and is requesting a refund.
The complainant purchased a used engine on 12/27/2023 it went out for delivery on 01/17/2024. The complainant alleges that the engine has internal timing issues and clattering around which eventually will cause a major event. The complainant alleges that they also filed a dispute with their credit card company.
The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
2: Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts, such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifolds, wire harnesses, valve covers, brackets, flywheel etc.

After review, we did suggest to the complainant that the issue they were experiencing was the plastic guides and not the actual timing chain. This item is not covered under the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty as it is a wear and tear part. There is no replacement or refund available to the complainant. While the chargeback dispute is open we are unable to do anything until it is process and closed.
We do hope this closes the matter and please let us know if you need any further information from us.

1 starSo I ordered my engine from SW engines took almost 2 weeks to receive it and when I received it, there is a few things wrong with it and they said thats how it is. I called them and when I wanted to do the warranty, they said I went past 30 days, two weeks to get it takes longer than two weeks to put it in when its at a shop because they have other work to do So to me, this business company is worthless. I will never buy any from them again, and I hope everybody else reads all the complaints about them. They do not stand behind their product whatsoever.!!!Review fromTaylor F

I ordered an engine for my Hyundai car. The engine the I chose to purchase was a 69K mile engine, after not receiving this engine for a while I decided to call. They had told me that engine was damaged, and they would send another one, in which I requested to know how many miles is on the engine, because Hyundai engines do not last very long as it is. They could NOT give me a definitive answer as to how many miles would be on the other engine, so I decided to not go any further with the second engine because something did not seem right. These people LIED that my money should have been posted 2/26 Monday in which my bank had ZERO record of. Now these people are saying that there is a restocking fee of 25% when the **** engine WAS NOT EVER SHIPPED. THESE PEOPLE STEAL YOUR MONEY. Almost $800 dollars that they are refusing to give me.Engine Shopper, LLC

1 starI ordered a motor they said was available. Completed a finance plan for the motor. Was charged my initial payment for motor. I was told it ships in 7-10 business days. Day 9 I called asking for a tracking number. Day 10 order was canceled. Over a Week later I get a call from a shipping company randomly (not related to business I bought motor from) saying they have a motor being delivered. I ask for verification that it’s the motor I wanted. They say “ they don’t give us that information, we just have a motor for delivery to your address and phone number” . Motor that showed up was the wrong motor on a pallet tied down with baling wire on a spare tire. Called customer service and I’m convinced if you don’t get to an answering machine that the hold line or forward to a manger is a loop line with nobody on the other end.Review fromTracy L M

1 starI ordered a motor on January 21 they said it would take 2 days for them to check it out and make sure it ran before they shipped it out, they waited til Monday the 25th to ship it, then when it was delivered to the garage they refused to take it off the truck cause it didn't have a lift and we didn't have anything to get it off the truck, so the next day had to pay someone to go pick it up an hour away. Then when we get the motorand getting all the plastic off they must have dropped it cause the intake was broke and the oil filter looked like a pancake. 2 spark plugs were missing so water and rust were in #7&8 Cylinder so they go to check the oil pan not only was it filled with water it only had 4 bolts on it. How the hell could they give someone a motor and say it ran with 2 spark plugs missing? I have ordered 2 other motors from them before with no problems the cars are still running today and that was about 8 or 9 years ago. Very disappointed and they have 3k of my money and I have a broken motor. Waiting for the warranty dept to get back to meReview fromVelton J

I ordered an engine on December 2, 2023. I was informed i would be sent a tracking number when my order was shipped. After about a week after not receiving any tracking information I checked on the status of the motor. I was always told it was being prepared for shipment. Finally, I told them I wanted to just cancel the order because I had not received any tracking information or any word on when they would ship out my motor. I paid $2820 to them for this motor that was never shipped, and they refunded me $2115. They are trying to charge me $705 restocking fee for a motor that never left their place of business. Total scam!!! I have filed a dispute with my bank and will pursue it to the end. You do not want to do business with this company.Engine Shopper, LLC

I placed an order for an engine on the Friday before Thanksgiving after business hours. Saturday morning I tried to call and cancel the order. The anwering machine said their normal business hours included Saturday but that they were currently closed...I assumed due to the holiday. Early Monday morning after waiting on hold over an hour, being rudely sent from one dept to another, I finally got an email with a cancellation form. They charged me $443 for a 'restocking fee'!! They obviously did NOT pull that engine as they weren't even open!! Complete and utter rip off to charge that much for NOTHING! I kept trying to call because I would have went ahead with the order rather than take a loss of that amount of money for nothing!Engine Shopper, LLC
