1 starThey first sent us a bad engine - we paid to have it installed - once the mechanic determined it was bad, we filed a warranty claim. They sent us another engine however denied the claim to pay the mechanic for 2 installs. They said we didn't file our warranty claim in time however they sent us a new engine on the warranty claim so how was it not filed in time. This company is impossible to get in touch with, horrible customer service when you do reach someone. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company Minimally they owe us for the install of the 2nd engine if the engine even lastsReview fromRachael B

1 starThe engine arrived with a broken valve cover, broken vvt solenoids, broken camshaft sensors, broken coolant hoses and fittings feeding and returning from the turbos. We ordered the engine on July 25th. At that time we were told the engine would arrive to WA in 7-10 days and the engine would receive a thorough QA/QC inspection prior to shipping including running the engine on a stand. After the 7-10 days passed we checked in weekly for updates on the status of shipping. We were given a variety of excuses, including extra time needed for QA/QC and an issue with your shipping company going out of business. The engine arrived on August 28th - over one month after we ordered it. That very day we had called for an update and were told the engine would be shipping soon?! After the shipping delay we had to wait for the shop time to free up for our mechanic to install the engine. The mechanic called and said it would have been impossible to run the engine on a stand prior to shipping with all of the broken parts on the engine. He further stated that the engine was properly crated and well wrapped and that it was very obvious the damage had occurred PRIOR to shipping.Review frommike V

I ordered a used GMC engine from SW Engines. I canceled the order a week later. I spent the next several days trying to get ahold of a representative for a refund follow up. I also contacted their sales department because I could not get ahold of anyone for an update on my refund. The sales department would just transfer me without listening to any of my concerns. Back on hold for the millionth time. Due to this, I escalated a dispute with my credit card company. The same day, I was able to get through to the warranty department. They advised me of a refund processed that same day. The kicker: they kept 25% of the invoice price, which included $450 for a core charge. That was not the cost of the engine itself. I received an email from the "escalation department" stating that was in the policy I signed. Based on the verbiage of "Subject to" a 25% restocking and processing fee, I countered stating "Subject to" is defined as "Possible" not absolute. I provided their policy to my credit card company and they agreed with my dispute. They reimbursed me the full amount, including the 25%. Now the bank is going after them for the missing 25%. I have not heard back after multiple calls and emails, all which have been documented. Next will involve our attorney. Id rather burn through 100% of the cost of the engine on an attorney than let them keep a dime. Im sure they will attempt to rebut this posting underneath.Engine Shopper, LLC

PPurchased an engine a 2009 Nissan 370Z for $2150. Was told the engine came with a 5-year/50k mile warranty. Paid local mechanic $2200 to install. Engine does not work - mechanic could not figure out why and suggested I take the vehicle to the local Nissan dealer. Nissan technicians are saying the engine is defective and will take 12-13 hours plus parts to fix. SW Engines just informed me they will NOT honor my warranty any way because I failed to “activate” it within 10 days of the original mechanic receiving the engine. Absolutely criminal Al behavior on the part of this company.Engine Shopper, LLC

The complainant ordered an engine on 11/8/2022 and it shipped out on 12/2/2022. The complainant alleges the engine did not run from the start.
The specific sections of the Terms and Conditions state as follows:
11. The part must be installed AND warranty activated within 10 Business Days of delivery or the Free Warranty shall default to a 6 Month ****************** Warranty from the original date of purchase and installation for engines and 3 Month ****************** Warranty from the original date of purchase and installation for all other purchased parts.
All the Terms and Conditions of the Free Warranty are prominently listed here: ***************************************************************
After review, it was determined that the complainant never did activate the Free Warranty within 10 days of delivery. The complainant also never made a warranty claim on the engine. Since the Free Warranty was never activated within 10 days from delivery, the Free Warranty is void per its Terms and Conditions. Since the Free Warranty is void, any past, current or future warranty claims will not be approved. Any requests from a refund or a replacement engine will not be approved as it is also past 6 month for a parts only warranty. The complainants request for a refund is not approved.
We do hope this closes the matter and please let us know if you need any further information from us.

If I could give this company a -25 I would. It also goes under the website title of quality used transmissions out of ****** *********. I purchased a transmission online from quality used transmissions on July 10, 2023, expectating of receive a quality transmission in 7 to 10 business days per their shipping. I waited till the 14th business day, and I was told an error has been made in shipping and the shipment would go out the following day, July 25th via a company premium used parts solutions. On July 27th, I learned that my part still had not shipped, per customer service. I immediately canceled my order, and received a confirmation cancellation on July 27. **** from premium used parts solutions contended that my part shipped on the 25th via some third-party company, none of which have any information about shipping. I filed a dispute with my bank and informed my attorney Accounting is now saying they cannot refund my money because of the dispute filed with my bank. I have wasted countless hours and time on hold waiting to speak to someone at quality used transmissions. At my attorneys advice, I will not drop the dispute until my funds are 100% returned to my account. I am a disabled senior citizen, and I cannot afford my money being tied up indefinitely. This company needs to be shut down for all of the other horrendous reviews it has received. Im calling out names Mr. ******************* was the name given as general manager of quality used transmissions and his accounting supervisor, Mr ************************* and the warranty supervisor as ********************************. If any of these lovely people or any other from this fraudulent company read this complaint they can go ahead and forward me 100% of my money and will have no more problems but until then Im gonna be up their tail!!!!Engine Shopper, LLC

If I could give this business a minus, I would! I ordered an engine from this company on 5/11/23 for the price of $1,670, plus a $350 core charge, to be refunded on returning the core to them. I was told it would take between 7 to 14 days for the engine to be delivered, as it had to be checked and shipped from *********. The engine was received at the designated repair shop on 6/6/23, My mechanic advised me that this engine appeared to have been sitting out in the elements for quite some time, but the oil was clean. Upon installation, it ran without issue. My problem with Quality Engines/SW Engines? Well, after numerous calls, and email to shipping on how and where to return the core, I got no response from that department. My mechanic advised me that I needed to have the core removed from his shop ASAP, as he had little room to store it. Finally on my 6th call, I was able to get a return address, but little info on shipping. I got estimates for shipment ranging from $405 to $1,229 from UPS and FEDEX, which I believe this company knew beforehand that I would not be able to ship the core back to recover my $350 core deposit. After my mechanic disposed of the core from his shop, he gave me the shipping label that had been attached to the used engine sent from this company. It had the vin# on that label. I purchased a Car Fax report for that vin#, and guess what I found. . .the engine was from a car with 210,000 plus miles on it, not the 55,000 miles that was quoted me when I purchased this engine!! And on top of that, the engine did not come from the ********* as I was told, but from a salvage company right here in good old ************!! To say these guys are frauds would be putting it mildly. I am now seeking legal advise on thise scum bags, that’s for sure!!Engine Shopper, LLC

When a business uses so many different names it normally tell you that they are fraudulent. This engine shopper has same address as company called quality used engines, which I had paid for an engine on July 3. However, I had to cancel the order after 3 weeks and 2 apology emails for delay. Anyhow, all of sudden 5 days after cancellation a tracking email shows up saying my engine is shipped. Picked up the phone and called. Spoke to Veronica in warranty and asked why is the engine shipped and her answer was “ we don’t have anything on cancellation for you”. How convenient to say that? I have the email to acknowledge my cancellation. Veronica also told me to refuse the engine upon delivery so I can get refunded. Will we will see when that delivery take place. So far my mechanic hasn’t see or heard the freight carrier yet!!!
This business is a scamming con-artist. They cheated me out of $1100 for submit a cancellation request on a engine. Their representative told me I can always refuse the item upon delivery and thats a big lie. They told me a full refund is on its way and that is a big lie. At the end they charged me $1100 for restock and shipping. Beware of this company or you can never get your money back.
