      The prices don't match the product on the shelves. I found 4 lunch bags for 12.99 and when the cashier scanned it it was $34.99! Kyle ******* the assistant General manager refused to modify the price. He said he was looking for the store best interest! So yeah they don't care about the consumer I will be taking my business somewhere else! And I would suggest that these managers have better training at treating the customers better!

      I bought a stand alone bathtub at the Menards in ************** that was closing. it was the display model. I couldn't pick it up until their closing after August 15th. I went on August 17th to get it with my paperwork that proved I had purchased it. It was loaded in my pickup and they came and unloaded it and said it was mistakenly sold twice and I was the second buyer so I could not have it. They said it was credited back to my account on July 3rd. I did not initiate this credit as I wanted the tub and did not ask for it to be "returned". I was not made aware of this so went to the store to pick up my tub. Needless to say I am not happy, I told them it was their fault and they should give me another tub that was similar. Their response was that I could buy a new one in the box at retail price. No way am I buying another tub from them and certainly not at full retail price as this was their mistake.

      I had a special door order and wanted to return it. They charged me a 25% restocking fee. I understand their policy, but... the store manager was very rude. When I asked for her name she only gave her first name. When I asked for her last name, I didn't understand stand what she said. When I asked again, she said I already gave it to you. She was very rude and then said good by.

      The products are okay however the rebate program is a scam. I have mailed in several and I'm told they have no record. First question why do they even allow mail in? Why not do it online? The obvious answer is to avoid having to pay.

      So I ordered an item from Menards online, when I received it, it was all scuffed up and did not work. Contacted Menard and was told to send it back and they would issue me a new one. Ok, a week later I get the new one and this one too is all scuffed up and not working. So I contact Menard again and I send it back, but this time I tell them not to send me another one and I would like a refund. Well they sent me another one and no refund. So I contacted them again and told them I did not want another one and please issue a refund and this time no response from them. A few days later I contacted them again and still no response, it has been almost 2 weeks now and no response. Terrible customer service and products. Buy all the complaints here on the BBB how is this company even still in business. I will never buy from them again.

      I purchased 2 windows from Menards that took 2 months to come in. When they arrived they were kits and not complete windows. They admitted that they ordered these incorrectly and had to reorder and again another 2 months. When the windows arrived they were the wrong size and the window was broken. I was denied my money back and was given an instore credit. I am now out $2,100.00 and can not put that money towards someone else doing my windows. I will no longer shop at menards since they do not care about their customers. Now I am stuck with $2100.00 to spend at a store that I no longer want to shop at. Ever thing purchased at menards is a special order and if you return that item you are charged a restock fee.

      Richmond/Rheem/Menards Water Heater Warranty Richmond does not comply with Richmond Water Heater Warranty. 50 Gal Richmond (6GR50PVE2-42P) water heater began to leak. Called Richmond Customer Service. Received an email with replacement authorization. Warranty states-- The replacement water heater must be a Richmond® model. The replacement component part(s) must be Richmond® authorized component part(s). The replacement unit will be warranted only for the unexpired portion of the original unit’s Applicable Warranty Period. Warranty States-- Richmond will pay the transportation costs for an “in-warranty” replacement water heater, or “in-warranty” replacement component part(s), to a convenient delivery point (selected by Richmond) near the place the original water heater, or original component part(s) is located: such as a local Richmond water heater retailer. You must pay any local freight charges, including the cost of returning the failed water heater, or defective component part(s), to a convenient shipping location (selected by Richmond): such as a local Richmond water heater retailer. What really happened-- Took the authorization email to Menards. Was told I would have to purchase a replacement as a special order and wait 3-1/2+ weeks for delivery or take a 40 Ga water heater. Requests to Richmond and Menards for expedited shipping were ignored. After being held hostage for 8 days without hot water, was forced to accept a 40 Gallon water heater instead of the 50 Gal. The written warranty is Richmond, but Richmond basically says Menards can do whatever they want. In the end-- Richmond did not supply a same model replacement water heater to retailer as stated in the warranty. Was forced to trade in a 50 Gallon water heater ($1419) to receive a 40 Gallon ($1103). Contacted Richmond for price compensation. Once again, was told Menards can do whatever they want. No compensation offered. DO NOT RECOMMEND PURCHASING A RICHMOND WATER HEATER FROM MENARDS.

      I bought doors for my new home and they were listed as solid core. The quality of these doors were a true disappointment. I spend $100s on shipping and most of the doors came damaged and torn apart. They have listed you have 3 days to inspect so I communicated to them within that time frame and its taken over 3 weeks for them to help with a return solution and one I might add is inconvenient. I have thousands of dollars in doors and they have poor customer service with no solutions. Theyre not a call center so you will not have the opportunity to speak to someone on the phone only email is an option.

      Take what you want out of this experience. Ordered a couch in the store and paid cash. Was given my receipt and told there was a email link to track my order and eta was a bit over a week, 2 days pass and the email tracking showed it was 1/2 there. Weekend comes and passes and I check the order on Monday and the email link is showing nothing now. Went in on the eta date and was told order was canceled and I was refunded already which did NOT happen. Then was told I was lying about the refund and was neither getting my couch or my cash! When I asked who cancelled they couldnt tell me, then I asked who was refunded and they couldnt tell me. I feel like someone in there was trying to pull a fast one but that was a feeling based on 52 years of life. 30 minutes of run-a-round and they finally refunded the cash. I will share this story with everyone when it comes up in conversation and it will, often. Billion dollar store with an archaic computer system that cant track any in store information (?), but can fund a car to go in circles I suggest anyone who wants something from Menards best leave with it or do Not buy it. I live in the country and the options for stores are limited but I will travel now due to this experience. I know I will not cripple a store like this but my dimes will be spent elsewhere moving forward.

      I purchased some fencing on line. Went to pick it up the next day and found out they sold it to someone else. I was then told by the manager that it was their policy to sell it regardless if someone else had already purchased it. What kind of company is this? They can sell your merchandise to somebody else. Why would anyone buy anything online from them?? Ill never purchase from them again. It has been a nightmare trying to find the rest of my fencing.
