      Their customer service is horrendous! I've been trying for 2 weeks to return a part that was shipped wrong. HUGE DIFFERENCE in what I ordered and what I got. All I want is what I paid for. Why is this so difficult? I've called no less than a dozen *** Sent emails. Communicated via text 3 times. HELP! Please.

      We purchased paint and all of the necessary painting tools for our NEW steel doors that was highly recommended by one of the associates. Per her recommendation, we needed one quart to paint two coats on two steel doors. It is the worst paint ever! After four coats, it still looks like ****! Bumpy, didn't coat well, smears....horrible! The only choices we have is to try to repaint it with a different paint (certainly not Menards!), live with the ugliness, or buy ANOTHER brand new door and start over!

      I made a purchase on my menards credit card through capital one. Anytime I make a purchase over $299 I choose the interest free payment option as it allows me to fund repairs for my business even if I am short on cash for that month. On Sept 10 I purchased windows for one of my properties online for store pickup and set up interest free payment option, or so I thought. I received my statement this month to find that my interest saver payment showed the full sept 10th purchase. I called and talked to a rep and a supervisor at Capital. The supervisor stated a case is open and a letter will be sent to my home whether the payment plan would be authorized or not within 7-10 days. My payment shows due by oct 10th. I asked if there was anything to expedite today so I would not accrue any interest. The response was to wait after the payment date and they may be able to retro back any interest charges. I view this as playing games with my credit bureau in which I cannot afford to do. In turn this would result in more phone calls to beg for help. I'm not sure why this is an issue but I hope someone can help me. I have the same program setup through Home Depot and this has never been an issue in the past with them.

      I totally agree that Menards rebate program is extremely questionable, and should draw The Federal Trade Commission's attention. I feel like the company is steeling from the customers. I have had a continual hit and miss experience with the program for years, I think that a class action suite is in order. I mail my rebate slips in the day that I make my purchase and even if I'm fortunate enough to receive the rebate, it comes months later. I feel that it is an intentional practice, hoping that the customer, knowing that Menards dose not respond for months, will forget altogether. Something legally should be done to bring an end to this illegal practice which resembles a mini Ponzi Scheme.

      Menards makes it impossible to track and receive any 11% rebates. They should be forced to stop that advertising.

      Purchase thousands of dollars of items for remodeling home over the years. Lemon pellet stove, lemon ******** heater, and never get rebates. I have officially made my last and final purchases from this company. This last **** rebate has done it for me. Make large purchases of costly items and this is the 3rd time. The ******** heater just purchased and installed does not work. Polite light will not ignite and paid 180 an hour to have fixed....Pellet stove must have been dropped off a truck and they will not return because it was delivered on a **** crate, I was responsible to inspect on delivery. I wasn't even here, contractors workers were. No more money for this organization.

      Poor quality products ruined tools and they refused to exchange the product or return it. They lost me as a 30 plus year customer. Never spending a ***** with them ever again

      The manager at the ************************** store by the name of *********************** and and employee , ****** were extremely rude when I bought 50 pieces of decking board 10 feet long . cost $800 and a box of decking screws cost $100. I had to load it by myself onto the fork lift operated by ******. When I asked him if he was going to help me load it, his response was "That's not my job" I talked with what the store calls their manager (**** ) and his smart assed tone was (Well what do you want me to do about it!!!) I then loaded it onto my truck. No help available. When I unloaded the lumber at the job site, I discovered they were various widths . You can't **** those boards because they don't line up. My wife talked to **** the next day on the phone explaining everything to him however, he was demeaning, sarcastic, argumentative and called her a liar telling her Menards does not sell defective lumbar and that they weren't going to do anything about it. Each time she attempted to speak he would speak over her and not allow her to talk and then accused her of screaming at him. WOW! And this is what MENARDS hires. Never again will we ever do business with this company. I suggest that the company invest time and money to educate **** and ****** with customer service skills or fire them

      I bought a garage door., And after getting it out discovered it was badly bent. I returned same day within hours of purchasing. I asked for new door of course, and a credit for my inconvenience as we live an hour away. Menards refused because she stated they dont make enough money on door. Thinking back and seeing how so much better second door was packaged, and that the original doors cardboard box wasnt damaged but yet door inside looked like it had been hit by a forklift . We realized door had been sold to Menads damaged and Menards most likely knows about this practice. This was further supported by witnessing an employee taking our just returned door directly to a dumpster for disposal on a forklift. We were surprised at the time. If is a good supplier they would wanted their merchandise back. Menards takes advantage of unsuspecting customers and doesnt care about their reputation as selling subpar even damaged merchandise.

      The prices don't match the product on the shelves. I found 4 lunch bags for 12.99 and when the cashier scanned it it was $34.99! Kyle ******* the assistant General manager refused to modify the price. He said he was looking for the store best interest! So yeah they don't care about the consumer I will be taking my business somewhere else! And I would suggest that these managers have better training at treating the customers better!
