      Purchased Battery from Batteries plus 07-2021. Battery went bad 04-17-2023. Manager ****** said I abused the battery because it was low voltage around 1 volt. I don't abuse the battery's and he also said there not in business to loose money. I would just say I guess batteries plus warranty doesn't mean anything. I guess they didn't pay for the battery but they lost a customer.

      Good afternoon,

      I have reached out to the individual franchise ownership group regarding this situation. In my communications with them, the battery was brought into the store at 1 volt, showing it was severely discharged and was not being maintained while not in use. They store explained to the customer that our warranty specifically states A battery with an open circuit voltage of equal to or less than 10V for 12V rated batteries will be charged. If after completing the charge cycle, the battery OCV is less than the manufacturers minimum voltage standard, the battery will be deemed as over discharged and void warranty due to misuse and/or neglect. The store attempted to charge the battery and they were unsuccessful in their attempts. Unfortunately, this battery would not qualify for a warranty replacement. We are considering this matter closed.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      When I purchased the battery I was told there was a warranty. But I was never told it was (conditional.) I understand if I maliciously damaged the battery, but I didnt do that. Also what if you are completely wrong in your analysis ? You say the battery was abused or over charged. I say, I think you are wrong. I think the battery was defective. Something caused it to go bad early. ( Maybe poor workmanship?)  I didn't treat this battery any different than any other battery I purchased in the past. But regardless if this is how ***** you want to be over one battery out of many purchases over the years than I guess I got off cheap. I will just warn all who read this that "know before you buy a battery from Batteries Plus that their warranty means Nothing" !

      Date of transaction was 04/19/2023 I brought my childs phone that we use for homeschooling because the screen was shattered and the battery was a bit slower than it should be. They took the phone and said they would fix it and then they broke it. The phone wont even turn on now when it was a perfectly functional phone when I brought it to them. They gave me back the nonfunctional phone and told me they werent charging me anything but they damaged it and didnt do anything to make it right. Now we do not have a phone that our family relied on every day when I brought it to them to FIX not ruin completely.       I came into the store with a simple question regarding my ************* that I had parked out front. Your employee *************************** was brought to me stating that he would know how to assist me with the matter in which I was coming in. He was not only rude but he was also very belittling. His unprofessionalism was quite surprising when I asked him how long he had been employed at your establishment and he stated over a year. He also sexually looked at my 14-year-old daughter. His looks lasted about 15 to 20 minutes off and on for the entire time that he was supposed to be helping me. When I gave him a bit of pushback for not having an answer for me he just said that he would rather speak to my daughter. Keep in mind that she is a minor and she was made sexually uncomfortable by his advances. So I made sure to get his name before I left your establishment. If this does not get settled within the company on private terms I will be reporting to channel 9 I witness News where I have a family member working in the establishment and will make sure that my request does not go unseen.

      I purchased a battery for ****** it was the wrong battery i went to return the battery with reciept and was told policy changed yesterday the day after i bought it. I had to call the police yo try to help.

      I went to the location in *******, **, as recommended by my insurance company, to have my screen repaired. Within a week, my phone screen started falling off and would only stay on with the case on. My supposedly waterproof iPhone was totally compromised, to the extent that I had it sitting on the other side of my bathroom while I showered and the steam got under the screen and completely destroyed it. It should've been fixable, and now I'll have to get an entirely new phone out of pocket. Absolutely ridiculous.

      Good morning,

      I have reached out to the individual franchise ownership group and are responding on their behalf. It is to my understanding the customer (***********************) brought the phone into the store on 3/13/23 for a screen repair using their phone insurance. The store performed the repair, which was successful, and the customer picked up the phone. The customer then called the store on 3/27/23 stating the phone had water damage and asked what could be done. The store explained to the customer that this would be a separate claim he would need to make through his phone insurance. The customer then proceeded to tell the store the screen was lifting from the phone. The store asked the customer to bring the phone in so they could look at it, which to date, he has not done. The store is willing to work with the customer to see if there is a solution they are able to come to. We are considering this matter closed.

      I ordered a Lawn Mower Battery on order #: EC0046805700 from your store in ****** **. on Sunday March 26,2023. . I got an email notifying me the battery was ready for pickup about an hour later. Upon arriving at the store and entering I was greeted by a voice from the back, and I Quote " What do you Want?" I was shocked by the greeting and responded "to pick up my Battery". At that point someone from the back came out front and responded the he called me and left a VM not to come for 3 hours. I NEVER RECEIVED THE VOICEMAIL!!! This employee was very rude and obnoxious. I looked at the number he called and noticed it was an old # that must have autofill'd when ordering. This employee needs customer skills training to say the least! I canceled the order and will purchase the battery elsewhere, and let everyone I know about the rude treatment by the Batteries Plus employee.

      Whom ever responded is a bold faced liar!!! There was no one else on the store and the associate was in the back room and yelled "What do you want?" He was not helping other customers  as there was no one else in the store!!! He was not even in the store front area   I was not upset by the fact I got an email stating my battery was ready when in fact it was not ( I can forward the email if needed)  I was put off by the attitude of the sales associate who was yelling at me that he left a Voicemail stating the battery wasn't ready. This sales associate needs customer skills training. I never raised my voice of became abusive toward the sales associate, I just asked to cancel my order and return my money and I left. I don't do business with people like that.

      went into ************ location and attempted to get my 2020 ****** blank key cut, however, the person serving mis cut the key wrong, effectivity ruining the key. attendant stated he would order a new key, however as of the time of this complaint, No details are available when key would arrive. was told a week ago key would be here today... 2/15/2023

      I purchased a brand-new battery from this establishment in December of 2021. They installed it for me as well. In November of ************************************* and would not stay running. I went to my car dealership service center, and they performed a full diagnostic of my car and determined there is a dead cell in my battery and until the battery is replaced it will intermittently cause my car to not start. On November 23,2022 I took my paperwork from my dealership to Batteries and bulbs on **** ******* where I purchased from in *******, ** ***** to show them I had a defective cell, and the sales associate did a regular battery test and the battery gave out no reading. He instructed me to turn my car on and the battery reader gave out a good read. The sales associate told me it was nothing they could do because of the read. I stated my car dealership service center performed the same test as he did and had to do a more extensive diagnostic to read the dead battery cell. Employee told me to call corporate and win the battle through them because he can't justify switching out my battery even though it is under warranty. The next day was Thanksgiving, and I could not reach them. I called November 27th,2022 and they informed the district manager would call me. It is now February 13,2023 and I still have yet to receive a call. I feel ignored and disrespected as a customer. They have no concern or care. The employees lack training.

      I went on line and filled out a request for an appointment today to get the screen fixed on my iPad. Received confirmation of the appointment at 11:30 today. I drove approximately 60 miles. **** I arrived, I was told that my appointment wasnt approved and that they dont provide the service. I asked why it allowed me to enter all the information and schedule an appointment for the repair. He had no comment. I also showed him the sign on the door says we repair iPad screens. He said we do repair them, we just choose not to. I told him I considered this false advertising. He didnt care and his only response was for me to give the bbb a call.

      I ordered a battery that costs over $100.00 over 5 weeks ago. The company is not returning emails and claims they shipped another one out and I still haven't received it. I have sent them numerous emails and have left voice mails with no response. This company is acting like a criminal organization. I worked hard for that money and should not be left without a product, let alone with my money taken, alebit 5+ weeks later. Please advise.

      Unfortunately, this order was stuck in our system due to a computer issue. When we were made aware of the situation, we immediately refunded the shipping to the customer, and sent the product out. The customer reached out to us asking for a return label to be sent to him and a refund. We sent him the return label. The customer then reached back out to us and asked that we refund his money as well as let him keep the product. We are unable to issue a refund without getting our product back. We are considering this matter closed.
