    I have had a Universal Home Protection warranty on my home for the last five years, and they are very good at helping to get my appliances fixed or replaced. I have made three or four claims for service (one on the boiler which was fixed quickly) and a claim for a replacement of our dishwasher, and we had no problems with UHP.

    The home warranty plan with UHP has already saved us money in just 3 months of home ownership. We have had 2 plumbing issues already. In both cases, UHP quickly engaged the plumbing company to our home. I didn't have to do much of anything administratively to open/close claims - that aspect in particular was a much welcome relief. I highly recommend UHP for your home warranty needs.

    Like many others, we purchased a home and the seller included the UHP Home Warranty with the sale. We have had opportunity to use it a few times in the past year. Overall, I can say that this plan paid for it self and then some. The plan we received was a lower end plan and the primary focus is to repair the failed unit if a repair is available. If I would decide to replace it rather than repair it, they pay the repair cost and I would be responsible for the rest. Also pre-existing conditions are excluded on this plan. You have to upgrade a level or two to get more inclusive coverage. If you have a bigger house with older appliances, I would suggest going that route. The difference in price between lower end and upper end plans is minor. They pay their claims fast and they pay directly to the contractor. The staff is easily reachable and always friendly. Very transparent in their dealings. I would recommend this company as they treated me fair.
