      If it were possible I would rate TDS Telecommunications at a 0. I have rated them a 1 as it appears to be the lowest possible rating. You may note that there are numerous complaints regarding service. That is if you can call it service! Be CERTAIN with TDS to do all communication in writing (email is a document that can be used in court). You can also place a phone call, however the company's service is SO POOR the record keeping on their end can NOT be trusted. My dispute is over a $65.00 charge that was charged for a month of service at which I had canceled a month in advance online together with a TDS representative. I chose to conduct cancellation online while allowing the representative to "walk me through the steps start to finish". This was done based on many poor experiences with service that gave cause to take very exact and careful steps when paying bills, changing service plans, etc. SO WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE LITERALLY DIRECTING EVR STEP IN THIS CANCELLATION THERE SOMEHOW WAS NO AVAILABLE RECORD! Consequently, at later date the company insisted this cancelation was not made. We even had the "new company" VERIFY the service date at which they, "the new and different telecommunications company", became our provider. In the mean time, without any communication, no surprise, TDS Communication sent this $65.00 charge to a collection company. I now have written to them, and will actually go to small claims court if necessary. TDS needs to learn HOW TO HIRE COMPETENT people. They also need to learn to listen to their customers. My hope is that they go out of business and make room for the well managed company's. I think the term CORPORATE GREED is very fitting for this company.

      DOES NOT PROVIDE THE SERVICE IT PROMOTES. I HAVE TO REPAIR MY OWN EQUIPMENT AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. TECHNICAL SEVICES TELLS ME IT'S A SOFTWARE PROBLEM BUT THAT DOES NOT HELP ME WATCH WHAT I'M PAYING FOR. NOW THEY WANT TO SHUT ME OFF IF I DON'T PAY ALL THE BACK PAYMENT FOR SERVICES NOT RECIEVED. I HAVE ONLY ONE OPTION AND THAT IS TO GO BACK TO MY OLD SERVICE PROVIDER WHO WASN'T MUCH BETTER.

      Spectrum is 10x faster. When you day trade you rely on your internet speed. TDS isnt reliable!

      Without a doubt the worst internet/TV company in existence. From destroying lawns, driveways, sidewalks to constant outages and constant buffering when tv is available. Sometimes outages last for days. Customer service was ok at first except the problems were never fixed. Beware even thinking about this company. Over the air is superior for tv and Ziply is superior for internet and streaming. Again I recommend staying away from TDS. They will charge you for infuriation and lack of service.

      Absolutely terrible internet service. They never have any idea what they are doing. I have had no Internet for over a day because they have no idea how to fix anything. This business should be shut down.

      They are absolutely by far the worst Internet service I ever had. Customer service is horrible. No one seems to know their job. Poorly trained. My internet has been down since Friday evening 12/16/2022 and it's now the 18th and when I call I can't get a straight answer. They add charges to my bill each month! If they weren't the only show in town I would definetly go with someone else. They suck!

      Absolutely horrible customer service. Disconnected my account and was told it would be disconnected the same day, now they are charging for a month of service I didn't have. Don't pay these people. They are scammers. Don't pay the extra charges.

      This business has some good people in it but overall they do not listen to you. When I moved out of my area they hit my small business with a 900+ dollar termination fee and then wouldn’t listen at all to me no matter how many times I called in. I talked to supervisors but the second one only called me back to call me “abusive” despite my long history with the company. Save yourself the trouble and go with google fiber.

      We made an appointment for an installation of a land line and internet. The appointment was confirmed by text. The tech did not show. No notification to me about it. When I called to ask, I received fake apologies and disrespectful responses. I was told that the order was never actually placed. I made another appointment for the following week. It was again confirmed by text. Again, the tech did not show. Again no notification. At this point, I had taken two half days off work to meet the huge swath of time required as possible arrival time for the installation. When I again called to ask, I again received the exact same fake and scripted apologies and disrespectful responses. I was informed that they decided that a technician was not needed, but I was never notified. They did not apologize for that. They "activated" my account and service, which did not result in actually having any service. Still no phone. No internet. They stated that I should have received a modem. No modem received. They've now "credited" me for five days of service that has yet to begin and I have not received. Another appointment has been set only because they are the only non-satellite service available. Unbelievably frustrating to take time off work and have the technician no show without even the respect of an email, text, or telephone notification about a possible change. And what grinds me as well is the fact that they recommend solving the problem online, when they've not provided the internet service to do so. I am frustrated, angry, and am seeking any other solution than dealing with such an inept provider.
