On Friday July 14th 2023 I walked in to ****** after waiting in the parking lotfor my wife to get done shopping for about an hour and a half I didn't make it 5 ft into the building before one of the employees got on their little walkie-talkie or headset thing right in front of another customer and started discriminating me and I shop here all the time and I will never come back into that store again I'm going to chop my credit cards up and throw them in the crash I felt belittled look down on and publicly embarrassed as I walked through the rest of the store trying to find my wife and everybody in the stores looking at me like I'm stealing things and I'm a criminal of some sort I'm not over exaggerating not even the tiniest of tiniest bits literally just about every single person in the store was looking at me and watching me as employees followed me around and kept harassing me and making me look as if I'm something I'm not and making me feel even worse I asked her lost prevention as to how I could get a hold of the head corporate main office so that I can file a complaint so that I could try and get the situation resolved or at least somebody talk to so that they can have a better way or a better resolution of going about things rather than harassing people belittling people degrading people and making people feel like c*** like their garbage I know I for one work everyday for a living I'm a normal productive member of society and being treated like that makes me honestly mad enough to where I almost wanted to steal something to pretty much laughing their face and say you knowIf you're going to treat me like this and I might as well just do it I'm sick and tired of being harassed by the employees of ****** something needs to happen cuz I will never ever step foot on ****** property again because of the way that I was treatedBusiness Response

Returned a purchase and was denied refund by Kohls policy to refund only to their credit card and not refunding the purchase amount to me. I would like the funds returned to me and not left on a store credit card. Purchase made 7/12/23 returned 7/14/23. I ordered the Brentwood 4-cup coffee maker on Kohls website. Their price is $15 more than other retailers, however I had $15 in Kohls cash and place the order on 7/4/23. Brentwood makes 2 coffee makers. The more expensive one (the one I ordered) and a cheaper one listed on **************** Target and other retailers for $20.. That is what was sent. I did get my money back. I am appalled Kohls would pull a bait and switch like that.Business Response

Upon review of Order ********** placed July 4, 2023 which included a Brentwood 4 ********* Coffee Maker (SKU ********) we verified that this item is a Marketplace item which means that ************* is selling this product on kohls.com (this was noted above the product as well at the bottom in the Product Details) We did reach out to ************* they confirmed that the image of the coffee maker that they advertised on kohls.com was incorrect and that the item has been discontinued and is not available to send. We also verified that the customer did return the coffee maker that she did receive July 12, 2023 at our *****, ** location with $50.49 back to the original tender used on the initial order.Customer Answer

On May 27, 2023 I placed an order online for 2 dog beds for humans my order # *************** with a tracking # AQ012217543CN. I placed an order on Kohls.com on 07-12-2023 online (Order Number **********) and immediately realized it was in error since they expect me to go pick it up in a store out of state. I called Kohls customer service on the phone within 2 minutes of placing my order to cancel it but was told this is not possible. Kohls states that part of my order cannot be canceled and will be shipped and part of it must be picked ** in a store in ************* and another part of the order must be picked ** in a store in *******. This is unacceptable and absurd. I live in ******* but cannot travel to any store. I needed the entire order shipped to me, not to be told I had to drive for over an hour to pick up part of the order and then the other part was to be picked ** in the state of *************, when I live in *******. This is reckless and irresponsible behavior on the part of Kohls and is insulting and offensive to me as a customer. ********************** also refused to cancel the remainder of my order and shipped the remaining part to me. Now I am stuck with the partial order they did ship to me and cannot return it unless I drive out of my way at a great inconvenience to me to return it in person at one of their stores or ship I must it back to them at my own expense. If they had cancelled the entire order at once like I asked we would not have this problem.

Made an online purchase for in store pickup. Realized box of purchased seal was broken, upon further inspection, I realized along with kohls in store customer service, that the item given to me was used and a completely different item. Someone had purchased item and returned another item in the box of new item. I returned my purchase was told I would have to rebuy the item online or through app, which I did. However, my order was canceled because apparently I exceeded the purchase item limit, but the charge is still pending on my credit card. Kohls is penalizing me for a mistake of their part and the phone customer has not been able to help me; poor connections and language barrier to name a few. Ive called Kohls customer service more than five times and have spoken to many agents, all documented. The reps have all repeated, verbatim, the same exact script, saying Ive exceeded the amount for ordering item. Even when *** explained that my purchase had to be returned as they gave me a used & wrong product. The agents do not deviate from script & repeat the same lingo over again. The order still appears as open and will not let me order the correct item, hopefully one not used and the correct product.

I purchased ****** on my kohls card on 7-6-23. I asked the clerk if there was going to be a kohls cash sale and she said that she thought Monday it would start again. I asked if I would bring my receipt back I would get credit she told me yes. On Tuesday I called the stores manage ***** and he told me that I needed to bring all the items in and not just the receipt. I came to the store in ***** ******** and went to customer service and asked the the ********************** manager. ******* came out and told me that it wouldnt be worth my while and I would pay more for my items and not get much kohls cash. I feel like both managers were bothered by my wanting to be a good consumer . This was a hassle and they tried to deter me getting kohls cash. I left the store very disappointed in customer service. We apologize for our customer's experience. Please know that in order to do an adjustment, customer's do need to bring back their original sales receipt during the active promotional period.
****** associates will return all items and then re-ring and the customer would receive the prices of the current sale including when ****** Cash would be offered. Prices will be different as it is a different promotional period. Prior coupons will not be honored if that promotion is not active during the adjustment period.
Example: Customer purchases $210 worth of merchandise Monday, July 10th using a 30% coupon but it is not an earning period. Customer sees that ****** Cash is going to given out Tuesday, July 11th. Customer may bring receipt back for an adjustment to receive ****** Cash but will forfeit the previous sales and 30% coupon that was used July 10th and is subject to the current promotions on July 11th.Initial Complaint

I went in to the kohls store located in *********** ************* to return 2 different sets of chairs after speaking with an associate via chat prior to going and the associate assured me that it was fine to take the chairs in to the return center without having a receipt that I would be issued store credit which I told her that was fine. After arriving at the store and asking for some assistance to help me get them in the store the associate that helped me load them onto the trolly knocked my chairs off in the middle of the store and damaged 2 of them. I helped her load them back on and i stood on one of the trolly and my 7 year old son on the other side to make sure that they didnt fall off again and finally made it back to the return center which put us about 10 minutes before closing time. The employee that was working back there was very rude and after I explained to her that I didnt have the reciept and what the agent told me via chat I even tried to help her by pulling the chairs up on their site and giving her the model and sku number for the 1st set and she handed me a return slip and a piece of tape and told me to put it on the chairs, when I went to help with the 2cd set my phone battery dies and she got frustrated and her attitude continued to get worse, she then gets so mad that she calls someone and rambles off that i dont have the reciept and said well thats on her and hangs up and said I cant return them. I said but your associate said that I could and by kohls policy I can and that really set her off to where she called and asked for someone to come back and assist her and they was whispering something back and forth and the guy grabbed the trolley and said its time to leave and started pushing my chairs, I was so embarrassed no one would listen to me and and I kept trying to get ahold of an agent on my daughters phone since my battery was dead so I could show them what I was told and they kept ignoring me and saying its time for you to leave! I had my 2 young kids with me ages 7 and 12 and was so embarrassed because everyone was starting at us and I didnt do any thing at all wrong I didnt even raise my voice. And now I have 2 damaged chairs because of their employee and was completely humiliated that I drove down the road a little ways and pulled over and cried for about 15 minutes and tried to explain to my kids why I was treated this way! I have called in 2 times to make a complaint and both times was assured that someone would reach out to me within a few days and nothing! And this was over 3 weeks ago.Business Response

No I do not accept the response for a couple different reasons, I was publicly humiliated in their store and in front of my children first of all for doing absolutely nothing wrong and was abiding by their policy of not having a reciept I was willing to accept their store credit, and that is one of their policy integrity that is boldly stated on their website and their app. They take pride in their no hassle returns. Why was their policy not upheld with me? Because I had worked outside all day and dressed in worn out work clothes? And my hair was a mess as well as my childrens? Because all the other times, even a few days prior to this incident, I returned a few barstools with some other items and didnt have a receipt and their was no hesitation at all to do my return, that day i was dressed in my nicer clothing and had makeup on and my hair wasnt a mess. Regardless of what ones appearance is every customer should be done the same way and with the same respect. And for another reason why I dont accept is because their mellow go was called to help me get them in the store knocked the chairs out of the trolley and damage was done to the chairs and decreased their value tremendously. That was not my fault either, i love shopping at kohls store and spend a good bit of money there and its normally where I do my kids back to school shopping and most of my Christmas and other holiday season shopping, but for them to treat me the way that I was and still not refunded I can not accept or wiling to take the chance of driving almost 2 hours again to have a repeat ordeal in their store.

2 separate orders # ********** and ********** were placed and paid for were never shipped from Kohls and were still billed. The complaint is that the items never left Kohls possession, yet I was billed. No attempt from Kohls was made to inform me that the item did not ship, nor were they active in refunding what I had paid, nor replacing the items. When I called on July 11 to resolve the matter, I was told by the associate ******** and the supervisor ***** that Kohls does not keep track of their orders, does not have this information and that it is the customer's responsibility to call and let ********************** know if they do not receive their order. I mentioned that I do a lot of online shopping, and for other companies that are unable to fulfill my order, I am notified via text, app, or email, and given options on replacement or refund. ***** said that Kohls does not do this because it is the customer's responsibility to call **********************. He said we don't go back and check orders. We expect the customer to know. He was unable to provide me details on what I would be refunded and indicated that it would be less than what I paid because of ****** cash that was issued. I mentioned that there are likely other people like myself who don't keep track of all of their orders and I was blamed for not taking action for a refund sooner.I imagine that Kohls has significant profit from non-delivery of items that are paid for and never received by their customers. I feel that this should be investigated as they are taking advantage of customers who are unable to reach out, or are otherwise unaware of their failure to provide the item that the consumer has purchased. If additional information is required from me, I am happy to assist as I would hope that others who have lost money to Kohls can be refunded, and that they will change their policy and business practice moving forward. I previously earned $10 in ****** cash which I went into to the ******, ** store yesterday to use for the purchase of two children's books. The books are part of the ****** Cares program. Online, the books have the following message - "This product is not eligible for coupons. However, you are able to earn and redeem ****** Cash and ****** Rewards on this product." See provided images. However, the associates in the store refused to accept my ****** Cash. I ended up purchasing the two books with my ****** Charge Card as my young child was with me and would have been very upset should we have had to return the books to the shelf.This morning, I "chatted" with a ****** agent online to discuss the situation. The agent first told me "Kohls Cares: Kohls Cares cause merchandise and other charitable items arent eligible for promotional coupons." Then, the agent copied the message of which I was already aware - "Certain product categories and brands are not eligible for promotional discounts or coupons. In most cases, you can still earn and receive Kohls Cash and/or Kohls Rewards on purchases of these products. Heres what you need to know:" When I responded that the message says "earn and REDEEM," I was told, "Yes you can redeem a ****** cash in online not on store." I asked, "So you're saying if I ordered the books online, I could use ****** cash, but because I went into the store I can't use the ****** cash" To this, I received a condescending response of "Read it carefully." Then, "So you're saying if I ordered the books online, I could use ****** cash, but because I went into the store I can't use the ****** cash. Redeem it means we are giving you a ****** cash from purchasing the item." I pushed back because that is not the definition of redeem and the agent said, "Even so the system is not giving us an options to use the ****** cash."Business Response

(2) ****** Cares cause merchandise or other charitable items (3) Gift Cards (4) Price Adjustments (5) payments to a ****** Card or any third-party charge account (6) any service of fees, including taxes and shipping.
It is also listed on our exclusions page under ****** Cards merchandise. When purchasing ****** Cares merchandise and other charitable items, you are unable to redeem any Kohls Cash, Kohls Rewards, or other coupons.
