I purchased some items for my 3 year old online. One item was a pair of shoes size 9T. When I received the item, I found that it was really a size 10 tagged as a 9. Thats not what I ordered. The shoes are also stretched out and appear to be worn. I contacted Kohls via chat and was told that I would be refunded for the shoes because the shoes were out of stock in her size. I also asked if we could just choose another one of the colors they had on the site as a replacement and was told no. I contacted corporate and was given $5 Kohls cash for the inconvenience. Great. Thought everything was fine and resolved. I go back and look at my Kohls account only to find that the $10 Kohls cash I earned for the order have been taken back from me. Im assuming as a result of the return that I would not have had to return if someone would have paid attention to the shoe size they were packing!!!! Better yet, they should have paid attention while adding the price tag!!! I reached out to chat support and had someone continuously repeating that cash was sent via email and wouldnt be in my account. Lies!!! It was there and now its not. I placed an online order with Kohls that totaled $97.30. I earned $10 in Kohls cash for that order. I had to return the order because neither pair of pants fit but I purchased a 3rd pair and used the $10 in Kohls cash towards that pair. When I returned the first order my refund was $10 less than it should have been because of the Kohls cash so I was only refunded $87.30. I also ended up returning the 3rd pair of pants because they didnt fit either. And for that return I received the purchase price which was $59.50. I asked about the $10 of my own money that wasnt being refunded and they said thats just how it works. I got a $10 coupon for Kohls cash instead of my $10 back from the original order. I feel like this is deceptive. I lost $10 to Kohls and dont plan on shopping there anymore so the $10 in Kohls cash was unnecessary. I want the total amount of money I spent at Kohls refunded. Please know that our ****** Cash incentive is not meant to frustrate you, it is a reward coupon to use towards a future shopping trip if you choose to redeem.
Kohls advertising of our Kohls Cash promotion, including the Kohls Cash coupon itself, clearly discloses that If merchandise purchased earning Kohls Cash Coupon is subsequently returned or price adjusted, the value of the Kohls Cash coupon previously earned and/or the amount of the merchandise refund will be reduced to reflect any unearned value. This information is also found on the receipts that were included with the received complaint, as well as on Kohls.com.
If earned Kohls Cash is redeemed and then the original purchase is returned, the Kohls Cash that was redeemed is deducted from the return value. The ****** Cash you earned was redeemed, therefore the return is adjusted accordingly. Finally, as set forth in the terms and conditions for the Kohls Cash coupon, the return value of merchandise purchased with Kohls Cash may be subject to adjustment.Customer Answer

Like I said, I dont plan on using the Kohls Cash because I wont be shopping there again. Kohls Cash is a ripoff. I basically paid Kohls $10 to return three pairs of pants that didnt fit.

I contacted kohls customer service to see if an item was available specifically the **** Court Vision Mens tennis shoes. The colors were white with a oil green ***** **** emblem. I could not understand the agent on the phone nor could she understand me. I'm hearing impaired and she spoke in a broken English fashion. Also she was breathing to loud on the phone which was irritating. I requested to speak with a manager but the agent claimed there was no manager available. I simply wanted to order a particular tennis shoe via phone. Bit this agent made it very difficult. I like to made whole and have the communication issue resolved!Business Response

Hello,This is in regards to Order #********** placed on 4/16/2023. The trash can that I received was defective and I tried to fix it but less than two months after it was falling apart. I first reached out on 6/9 about the issued and the agent said that I could dispose of the item and that I'd receive a refund in **** days. After the 10 days I reached out again because I hadn't received the refund, then the agent said that a refund wasn't requested so they would submit it this time. I reached out again a week after and they let me know that a refund request hadn't been submitted so I called customer service again and they provided a reference number. That was on 6/22/2023. Today I reached out again via chat and they let me know that no refund had been requested and their solution is to escalate the matter but they still haven't issued a refund. Upon review of Order ********** placed April 16, 2023 which included a mDesign Small Rectangular Trash Can Wastebasket (SKU ********) we verified that this was refunded June 16, 2023 with $30.49 being issued as a KMC (****** Merchandise Credit) and mailed to the customer. We confirmed that this merchandise credit has not been redeemed and it has a been canceled. A new merchandise credit has been issued and mailed to the customer's residence, please allow up to 10 business days to receive. I purchased several thousands of dollars in merchandise and earned $707 in kohls cash and kohls refuses to issue my kohls cash credit because customer services told me my account was closed for fraud alert. Fraud alert, what are they talking about? It can't be to much fraud because I'm still able to make purchases using the same account the ********************** cash is suppose to be credited too. Kohls has no probelm taking my order and taking my money! I've had this happen before with a large purchase and I beieve its just Kohls way of getting out of issuing the customer the ********************** cash they earned because it's such a large amount. I never pursued it the last time but I'm not letting them get away with it again. Kohls was okay with selling and charging me for all the items I purchased but now that I have $700 in kohls earned they want to tell me my account has been closed for a fraud alert and they can't issue me the kohls cash. I paid thousands of dollars for the items i ordered and I want my kohls cash issued to me. This compnay is crooked and shady pulling this kinds of stunts. Kohls is claiming these purchases are for resale. All of the the items I purchased are intened for personal use and NOT Wholesale or Resale. Thererfore, the KOhls cash rewards are in fact earned and are due to me. If kohls just assumes large purchases are for wholesale use it's obvious they are using this tatctic as an excuse not to pay out the rewards that are earned by their customers who are making larger purchases. Again ALL the items i purchased are intened for PERSONAL USE ONLY and therefore I am still requesting the rewards be issued.

For a cancelled KOHLS order (Order Number: **********), they charged me twice but only refund me once. Specifically, they charged me $750.73 on 11/25/2022 and refund me $750.73 on 12/03/2022. But they charged me again on 12/06/2022 and never issued the refund. No matter from bank side or my side, they were all unwilling to refund me. i have shopped at kohls for years and ive never had to deal with such incompetence. i purchased a tote from the store while visiting in PA, and and then as i was looking on the website once i got home, i saw the same tote went on sale and thought to try live chat to see about their price adjustment policy since i was no longer in ** to get back to the same store and we do not have a close store near by where i live. i had to return to the live chat 4 times after the first time the agent gave me a number they assured me i would receive the help i needed, and they also were not helpful. i went back to the chat because the agents kept leaving the chat and the chat seem to being having issue, they thought i wasnt responding when i was. i even by the last round asked for a manager in hopes to get a more clear answer, and they closed the chat as well. i felt the desperate need to come here and hopes BBB could have a better try getting in contact for me and having them respond to my concern since the phone line and chat were not getting anywhere. i understand its a small issue but the length of time i used to try to receive help is ridiculous. all i was asking for some kind of price adjustment help or reimbursement to the price that i paid for the item and only after a week it goes on sale. as mentioned again ive shopped at kohls for years and was a loyal shopper till i moved to ** and the location is not local to a kohls, which is difficult for me because i used to shop at kohls multiple times a week and now having to deal with the website alone is very discouraging.Business Response

[Please type your response here.] they are not understanding my concern, it is how the concern was handled and addressed. no concern at all how it was handled through the phone or how many times i had to go back to live chat for assistance. i understand the adjustment policy is 14 days but due to i was in another state when i purchased the item and then explaining due to distance and health issues, i felt coming here for better help would help but they dont seem to show any concern on any part. which is very disappointing to me seeing as ive given alot of money over the years to this business and the customer support has really gone downhill. not even trying to give options to help customer service just repeating the same message.
