We purchased windows from Window Select, and had them installed 7/20/21. We experienced some cold air leakage and after sending company photos and videos of the air leakage they came in and recaulked windows on 1/28/2022. In December of 2022 we experienced major leaks on one of the installed windows. We had major frost inside the windows, and on the wood framing around the window. I used a hair dryer to melt the ice. The air surrounding the window frame and windows was coming in and making the whole room very cold. We proceeded to put up plastic weather stripped the entire window and frame to prevent further leaking and cold air seeping in the room. I called window select 12/22/22 at ************, no one answered, no option to leave a voicemail. We emailed **************************************************** 12/23/22,( we had his card from when he came to measure the windows the first time). l called, requesting to contact us .I called **************** ************, left VM. I have called company on several days and times . 1/18/23 left VM. 1/19/23 at 945am left VM (only option) no one answered. 1/19/23 at 150pm left VM. After checking on BBB, I got ********************** name and phone which I called and left Voice mail. I am filing a complaint in hopes we can get help in getting hold of someone to come and fix our windows. We are paid in full and have a lifetime warranty. We cannont reach anyone at Window Select by phone or emails that we have. No one has returned our calls or emails. No matter what time of day I have placed callout, no one is ever answering. Please help and advise us what to do Thank You ******* and ***************************** ************ ******************* Currently our home computer is broke, so I am using library computer to contact you. I am writing about windows select not answering the phone. Last March, I ordered an entry door from them and they said it would not be ready until the fall. I called sometime in Oct. and they told me that the door would not be ready until Feb. 2023. I have been trying to call them and they put me on hold and then tell me there is no one to take my call. I was surprised to see all the lawsuits against them, so I have been researching them. I paid for the door in full on my credit card. The amount was $4500 on March 16,2022. I do still have my contract and credit statement. So I need to get my money back. I do not even want the door. If there is anything you can do, please let me know. Hello, in March we signed an agreement with Windows Select to provide 6 new windows for our home. We were initially told that the windows would be installed later in summer/early fall due to supply chain issues, but after someone came out to confirm our windows measurements a week later, communication from them became nearly non-existent. We've tried contacting them multiple times for an update. Initially in August, we were told that we'd have to wait until later in the fall. Then in October, we were told that the windows wouldn't arrive until after the new year (2023). As I write, I'm seeing that Windows select is planning to file for bankruptcy. We have not been informed of this and they have not let us know of any way that we can contact them to attempt resolution. We've tried to contact them ourselves but have only gotten an answering machine.In terms of cost, the price of the new windows and installation is $7244, with a down payment of $3622 with the rest due upon installation. Unfortunately I do not have an order number but I will attach pictures of our documentation.Initial Complaint

We ordered windows in July of 2021, paying 50% down ($9,000). at first we were told it would be six months before the windows were installed. That seemed reasonable given the supplier problems at the time. But at six months they said two more months and 8 months just a few more weeks. We really thought with a third party in charge we would eventually get the windows. But now it has been 18 months and we hear very little and have no windows.Initial Complaint

Windows Select installed 5 new windows in our home in August of 2021. Two of the windows had minor issues - one had a small chip in the glass and one had a small rip in the screen. I've been in touch several times over the past 16 months, and when and if I do talk to someone (or recently I've reached someone via email), they keep telling me it will be fixed within the next couple months, by the end of the year, by the end of May, blah blah blah, and it never happens. The excuse is always that everything is back-ordered. All I want is the defects repaired. All 5 windows plus installation have been paid for in full. The installers did a great job, and in general, we are happy with the windows. The salesman was a little shady, but we feel the price was fair.Initial Complaint

march 15th of 2022 i put **** dollars down on a ****** dollars order of windows and a patio door! the original installation date was supposed to be September of 2022, they pushed it back to November then to January! i have yet to receive a call or email. I'm done with the windows being pushed back, now that i want a refund i have now way of contacting them due to changing their voice messaging system! please help me get my **** dollars back!Initial Complaint

DATE OF TRANSACTION: 04/04/2022 AMOUNT OF PAID TO BUSINESS: $2,320.00 WHAT THE BUSINESS COMMITTED TO PROVIDE: Replace Front Door WHAT IS NATURE OF DISPUTE: The contract states that work would be started approximately 24 weeks after the contract was signed on 4/04/2022 and down payment was made. We did not hear from them in October, as promised. After trying to contact them numerous times, we reached them November 2022. At that time, they informed us that work would be completed in February 2023. However, through a news story on WITI-TV *********, we learned that the business is closed and that there had been many, many complaints regarding their workmanship and their failure to complete work or, as in our case, even to start it. We do not have an Account/Tracking/Order number since they didn't provide us with one. We scheduled a Window Select salesperson to come to our house on January 5, 2022 because we were looking to replace our bedroom windows. We ended up buying 5 Twin Double Hung windows at a cost of $13,000. We were required to pay 50% down, so we paid him $6500.00 before he left, and the balance of $6500 would be due upon completion of the installation. He told us to expect the windows to be installed in April or May 2022.....but that wasn't guaranteed. We called them in June, and they told us they'd have the windows installed late July. We called again and could not get anyone to answer ...they just had an automated message saying all orders were late and they were working on it. We called again and got the same message. We called late September and was told the windows were set to arrive Nov 5th and they would schedule the installation once they arrived. We called again late November, and they told us they had no idea when we'd get our windows. They said we could contact their customer service via email. We did, but got no response. We called again in Dec and were once again told that they had no idea and we should contact their customer service via email. We did....and they answered by saying they are working on their backlog from last year and are working diligently to make sure their customers are taken care of, and they'd let us know when they had an expected arrival date. We sent another email January 5th, and they did not respond. An entire year has passed and we have no windows or an expected date.Now we saw there are lawsuits against them from other customers with this same issue.
