Our electric went out at 845pm on wednesday2-23-23.For us that means no toilet on well, no water, no heat, no cooking and of course no lights or minor inconvenience no t.v.First they said dont call we will have it on by 230 am. Then they said 630 am. Then they said 1130am. Then we calked said at 257 pm. Then at 257 pm the heater clicked rhe clocks came on and went out 1minn later. We called and told them what happened. They then said the service should be back by 730pm. We called back because we saw they put our outage diwn as of 307 pm that day. that was incorrect, it was 845pm the day before when the gentleman answered at we energies, he explained that being the power came on for a minute it stated a new outage...? What !Mean while union grove that was out at 845pm the eve before now has power. While we in ***********, I guess are not as important. If that is not the case you will never make me belive any different still have no power and all the things that go along with that. We personally lost 150 dollars or more of food. If you dont have enough power to go around, just say so and we can make other arrangments dont keep string it along a realistic time line would have been nice. Your customer service is pittyful! We Energies

An ice storm hit the southern portion of We Energies service territory on February 23rd 2023. Changing conditions causing dangerous hazards resulted in mounting outage numbers during the storm. This in turn caused adjustments to many of the restoration times originally issued, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. It is our goal at We Energies to keep the lights on, and, in the event of an outage to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. We cannot, however, guarantee service 100% of the time, and we appreciate our customers patience during extreme weather events like this recent ice storm. We would encourage customers who want to know more about how service is brought to their homes, and what happens during a service outage restoration effort, to visit our website at www.we-energies.com .Review fromDon B

It is amazing how they operate. It appears as if they completely make up and falsify billing information. My energy usage was down a good amount for the cycle and yet the bill increased over the previous cycle. I believe thats what we call in the business world a scam.We Energies

Higher natural gas prices on the open market combined with a recent change to the gas billing rate has caused customer bills to have a higher per-therm cost than in previous months. We Energies rates are set by the ************************* of Wisconsin. We encourage customers to visit our website at www.we-energies.com for energy saving tips and more information on how our rate structure is determined by the state regulatory agency.Review fromNicholas J.

Moved into a new unit on ************ on November 15. I have service established for that day and get a bill on December 10 for ******. Fine. I leave my unit vacant from Dec. 10 - Jan. 1 with the thermostat set to 55 degress and all devices/appliances unplugged. I get a bill on January 10 for $245.96. Please explain to me how my usage would be higher when my unit is vacant for 3 weeks. The company offers no method to track your usage throughout the month so they can pull the usage numbers out of thin air for the bill. This behavior is fraudulent. Also, there is no explanation for what other charges are anywhere on their website. They can fabricate what they please because they have no competition. Garbage company that preys on a city with no other options. We Energies

We Energies bills our customers based on metering equipment that is approved by the ************************* of Wisconsin. Our meters are tested at the factory prior to purchase, and tested again by We Energies prior to installation at customer locations to ensure ********************** has been correctly measured. Each meter includes a display, usually digital, that can be read without any special equipment. While we do offer several ways for customers to monitor and track their monthly usage on our website and mobile app, ************* Representatives are available **** to assist if customers need assistance reading their own meters to more closely monitor daily energy consumption.Review fromM.S.

Creating a dark, unsustainable future, with unreliable power. WE Energies!
WE Energies is a shining example of why "electric" is not the future. If WE Energies can't keep the power on in Wisconsin when a mouse farts in Illinois, how are they going to keep the power on when the same mouse farts AND there are electric vehicles to charge at every house?
Yep, WE Energies is so bad that this is a legitimate question. We Energies

During the first weekend of November a storm system swept through Wisconsin that affected nearly all of We Energies service territory. The storm brought high winds that caused significant tree and vegetation damage to our electricity distribution facilities causing nearly ****** customers to be without power. Our highly-trained crews worked around-the-clock for several days clearing dozens of dangerous hazards and restoring service to our customers safely and as quickly as possible. We know how inconvenient being without power can be, and would like to thank all of our customers for their patience during this significant storm event.Review fromTiara W.

We energies is full of it! They came to cut a tree down at 2am didn’t tell anyone the tree is in my neighbor yard instead of leaving the tree branches big bushes of tree branches in my neighbors yard they leave it all in my yard and tell me I have to find someone and pay someone to get it removed and broke my fence and said I have to file a claim with my home insurance for the damages! So y’all just performing jobs nobody asked if for and leaving stuff behind and leaving it on the customers when we already have life and bills to deal with! I wish we had another company to use like Texas or they would no longer be in business! And nobody wants to help just keep throwing us off telling us we have to work with the neighbor to get the trees removed but never once told us they was gone leave and they had he big tree machine outside the whole time! Horrible company!!! Terrible service!!!We Energies

The after-hours tree work in question was due to a hazardous situation caused by a tree which resulted in a power outage for this customers neighbor. At We Energies we always put customer safety first, and our on-site crew completed the work necessary to restore service in the safest way possible. We have since spoken with this customer about the situation and she has confirmed her concerns have been addressed.Review fromDONNA A

I have a we-energy telephone pole on my property. They don't maintain this pole. I have contacted them three times regarding a tree that fell on the guide wire and vines are attached to the wires and transformer. Asplundh was here and said they needed to take care of it. That was 3.5 weeks ago. Asplundh doesn't return my call. This is interfering with my service. I have service interruption daily but no one will take care of this problem. The vines are possibly energized and a hazard. If we-energy can't take care of this problem run it underground. We Energies

Forestry work was initially performed in the customers area, however was delayed slightly due to storm restoration and cleanup efforts. The Regional Forester for the customers area has confirmed the remaining work has been completed as of August 17th, 2022 with all limbs, branches, and vines settling around the guy wire having been removed. The customer has been informed of the completed work and expressed no further concerns.Review fromKathleen C

We Energy said they change out all meters every 15 years. Lie. Then stated my meter was “reading zero”. Lie. If that were true, why was I billed the higher amount? They turned off my gas without notifying me 7/18/22. Never a late payment in 17 years. I’m not there 100% of the time, don’t use my dishwasher and keep my bill as low as possible. Now I’m being penalized for conserving energy. Customer service was cold, abrupt and even said I was “telling different stories”. It is too simple to get confused. On a limited income, I will now have to move to this nonsense. Fraudulent billing practices. We Energies

There seems to have been some misunderstanding with this customer regarding the recent gas meter exchange work done at her property.First, the bills for this account have been issued based on actual meter readings obtained from meters that have been tested as accurate according to standards enforced by the ************************* of Wisconsin. Unless there are circumstances about which we are not aware and this customer has not brought any to our attention the bills have been accurately rendered.Second, we do try to keep gas meters to a 15-year life-cycle (or less). While some meters can remain in service longer than that, we make every effort to keep the equipment and technology used to serve our customers up-to-date. This includes efforts to exchange new meters for old ones long before the old meters have reached the end of their normal life-spans, which was the case for this customer. Finally, though she indicates we provided no notice of the service interruption, our records do not show that to be the case. Several letters were sent requesting contact to schedule the work, phone calls were made, and eventually an appointment was even scheduled with the customer, but it was later canceled at her request. At that point a letter was sent advising the work would be completed and the gas left off, and that she should call to schedule reconnection and appliance relights at her convenience. The interruption of service was not in any way collections-related; as this customer indicated, her account is in good-standing. Leaving the service off after the new meter was installed was merely a safety precaution necessary because our previous efforts to coordinate the appointment with the customer were unsuccessful.Kathleen C

They are fabricating statements to fit the narrative. Look at other complaints. They need to be formally investigated. My situation isnt even as bad as others Ive found researching this company. There is no alternative for gas to my condo. Its a monopoly. You could at least school your customer service in common courtesy.
