Be prepared to lose power for several hours anytime there’s a mild/decent thunderstorm! We moved down from ******* to South east WI, and have had more, significant power outages lasting several hours in the MONTH we have been in our new house than in 10+ years in *******. What a joke of a “power” company, absolutely unacceptable.

We understand it can be frustrating when power is lost. This weekend we experienced a significant storm event that impacted power to over ****** customers across our service territory in parts of Central and Southeastern Wisconsin. We have had hundreds of crews working in the field around the clock in an effort to restore power as quickly and safely as possible. In addition to our crews, we have also received assistance from outside crews to help with restoration efforts. We continue to find widespread damage from the storm including downed trees resulting in power equipment needing to be replaced. We appreciate your patience as we diligently work to restore service to all those affected. We Energies always encourages customers to have a back-up plan when power outages arise. Same issue as ************ *****. I sold my property almost 7 years ago, and after not receiving an energy bill for over 7 years I received one. It's rather frustrating and I thought it was a joke at first. After I found out it wasn't a joke they told me there was nothing they could do for me. All because they told me I didn't want to stop being the owner of the property. I called them told them to stop services because I sold the property and yet 7 yrs later they are telling me that I'm responsible for the property??This is what you get with government run companies and programs. 0 accountability, 0 responsibility. I wish there was a private energy company because that would be run 100% better than any government company or program.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this situation caused. The account has been backdated, cancelling any prior billing that was in your name for the property. As you stated, you are no longer are the owner for the property, which has been confirmed by the assessor information with the *****************.

Stopped service and paid final bill when my wife and I moved from a rental property to our first home. Two months later, we received a $500.00 bill from WE Energies stating that our previous usage was an estimate. We don't own the previous property, we don't know where the meter is, how to access it, or if it's even accessible. We never received a call from them until months after we moved. YOU (WE Energies) screwed up so YOU figure it out with the rental property owners. We're not responsible for tracking actual usage and if you can't do it either than you should be in a different business. We are NOT paying this bill and we have escalated to the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin. TERRIBLE experience, TERRIBLE service representatives (April who laughed at us, Andrea who never called us, Koran who never called us back).

We Energies is governed by the Wisconsin ************************* and in situations where the consumption was found to have been underbilled, the utility is required by the Commission to rebill the account. We apologize for any inconvenience and offer an extended payment plan for the additional charges.

Most corrupt company in the world! We never got notified in anyway that they were shutting us off. When we called they told us after a year of automated payments our card can only be billed $300 at a time so we owe back payments we never got anything sent in the mail or by email or anything to tell us this no communication whatsoever. They told us that’s not their problem. Now that we owe a huge amount of money upfront and it’s going to be 89 outside about 100 degrees in our house hopefully I’m still alive by tomorrow to pay the ******* bill $1500. I might just call our lawyer first.

They changed my electric meter twice and then forgot about it and wanted to change the meter again! And to top it off my electric bill was going down this time of the year but since all the meter changes my electric bill shot up $73.47 in one month with less usage. WE energy is corrupt organization.

      We Energies

We Energies works to ensure each customer is billed based on their actual usage. Whenever an actual read has not been received, the account is billed estimated usage and a field investigation is issued to determine if an exchange is necessary. The account is then reviewed and adjustments made if necessary based on the field investigation. Customers all always encouraged to review their billing statement monthly and contact customer service representatives at ************ with any questions.

I have never opted to have paperless billing as I use my mailed in bills as a reminder to check my funds are sufficient. I realized I had not received a paper bill recently and notices an email stating my bill had been over $1600. I went online to check and sure enough, I called to get it resolved and told them I never opted for paperless and now I am so far behind. They told me that their records show I opted for paperless billing on 4/29/2022 and there is nothing they could do but that they also Could NOT Provide Proof. WE Energies is a scam and are not held accountable for their deception.

Customers are always encouraged to contact the utility at their earliest opportunity, in the event that they are not receiving their monthly statement. Early intervention allows the customer service representative to investigate and resolve the concern as soon as possible to avoid an unexpected amount owing.

We moved in November 2022, same city and less than a mile from our old residence. Every month since November and still continuing, I have had to call Customer Service because we have yet to be billed for Electric. They keep telling me they are going to forward my issue to a team that handles difficult accounts. They have yet to resolve this issue. Since we moved in, we have not seen any amount of how much our Electric bill would cost and no one can even give me an estimate on the amount per month for Electric. I am waiting for the $2000 bill to hit. How are we supposed to budget when no one from your company can tell us why Electric usage is not on our bill or what the estimated charges would be? No none has come out to read the meter that we are aware of and no one has called. This is unacceptable and its too bad you have a monopoly in our community.

The utility is aware that ******************** is currently not being billed for her electric service due to a billing system glitch, that held up the service point from billing out her consumption. In an outbound a message was let for ******************** informing her of the situation and informed her that the utility is working closely with ***********. to resolve the issue. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate ************************ patience while we work to resolve this concern as quickly as possible.

We moved and bought a house back in october and have issues with budget billing ever since. God forbid someone forgets to make a payment and bam! They hit you with a $900 bill. This is ridiculous i have a payment arrangement from the first time because of confusion with the old property. And now i have another one. So not only do i have to pay $300 to "reinstate" i also have to wait until another bill runs thru with actual usage before i can get back on budget billing. That's gunna be another $300 bill plus the remaining balance. How is this legal!? Like wtf have some human decency. You money hungry *****Oh let's not forget the customer service. First time i called i had to pay $300 to reinstate the second time was $179. Which was it?? Not to mention the non speaking english man who had his entire family in the background screaming and laughing to were i couldn't even hear him! We energies your pathetic and if i had a choice who i gave my money to it wouldn't be you!

The We Energies Budget Billing Plan is a way to spread seasonally uneven billing amounts more evenly over the course of a twelve-month period to help our customers more effectively budget for their energy costs. It is not a savings plan, or a reduced amount, because customers will pay exactly the same amount over the full twelve months as they would under the standard billing plan. If the budget plan is broken due to a missed payment any usage above the dollar amount billed in the budget plan to that point comes forward as the amount due on the next billing statement. If the customer cannot pay that amount in full it can be included in a deferred payment arrangement in most cases.A customer of ********************** who cannot pay a bill in full by the due date has the option to enter into a deferred payment agreement (DPA). A DPA consists of an agreed-upon down payment and then an installment toward the past due amount each month moving forward, plus whatever current charges are due for that month. In exchange for making and keeping that agreement We Energies agrees not to assess late payment charges or pursue any other collection action on the balance.

The customer support here is terrible. I've been having problems with my physical bill not matching what they say I owe on their website when I go to pay it. This has been going on since October and every time they assure me it is fixed and push my bill due date out another month. It's now at the point where I will be paying for 3 months worth of bills if they actually get it right next month. The fact they cannot even bill correctly or fix their errors propery is disturbing and frustrating. I just want to pay my bills and they are making it impossible. This company is a complete joke and there is nothing the citizens of Wisconsin can do about it.

****************** has two account and contacted the utility on 9/29/22 requesting to enroll in both accounts into Summary Billing, which would combine both accounts into one statement. On 2/13/23 the account was reviewed by a business consultant who determined that despite the accounts being on summary billing, they continued to bill separately. The billing department was notified and upon closer review, it was determined that the accounts were on different billing cycles causing the accounts to bill separately, resulting in confusion as to what was actually owed. Both accounts were then aligned onto the same billing cycle, however, despite aligning the accounts the totals were not a true reflection of the balance, causing further confusion as to what was actually owed. ****************** spoke with a representative, the group billing was discontinued and he was advised of the balance(s) due. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and continually work to make improvements in processes to better assist our customers in the future.

This service sucks!! I've lived in this town for 5 years & have experienced power outages way too many **** times!! At least 5 or 6 per year. I've lived in rural areas and ************** in Wisconsin that these type of occurrences DO NOT happen on a regular basis. This is pathetic. I was also told by a We Energies technician that everyone living in the inner city, from my home to ************* south of my house, receives power from the same line. THAT'S SOME LAZY & CHEAP A** ****...I can see why so many people are moving away from this city.......
