      I had a savings account set up with them, for quite some time. I was forced to withdraw most of it as sometimes people must do, given financial circumstances. Recently, my quarterly statement came. It stated that due to inactivity for 3,6 months, whatever it was, a fee was charged, extracting the $10.38 I had left in it, leaving a balance of ****. Thanks, but no thanks. I can bank elsewhere! Im sure that policy must have come along at some point, in some small writing that nobody would ever normally read, nor should be expected to read, in some multiple paged policy change, financial gobbledy-gook letter or email. Real slick. STOP sending me new quarterly statements now, with a balance of **** on them. Inactivity, remember? You no longer have the need to conduct any business with me! Thats called theft as far as Im concerned, no matter how you word it.

      Their customer service has become the worst I have seen in 45 years of dealing with financial institutions. As stated by others the new phone structure is the worst. It used to be that you could have most any issue or question resolved within 15 minutes or less. Now expect 45 minutes to an hour plus on the ignore status. Don't elect to get a call back, because it won't happen. Don't go to a financial advisor because they are there to rip you off and just make a buck for them selves. Don't let them tell you that you have to wait 10 to 15 business days for them to credit your account for money that they took out in error. We have been customers for 30 years but this will probably be the last year.

      They continue to withdraw money from your account after your loan is paid off. Avoid if possible

      there was a time when Landmark had the best service. Not so much anymore. I have been with landmark for near 40 years, But about 2 years ago the service is horrible. If you try to reach them on the phone, you can plan on a lengthy wait on hold. If you select having them call you back, forget it they won't. Their loan officers are bordering on beligerant. and the web site, with 2 major updates in 2 years. I no better than it was before. In fact you could make the case it isn;t as good. They have spent a fortune on system updates and building new branches. while allowing their support people to treat customers as annoyances. I'm looking for a different bank/credit union.

      Back in December of 2021, our joint checking account was hacked. More than $1,000 was charged to a crypto currency website. I received an alert from Landmark, asking if this was me. I called to let them know it was a fraudulent charge. The charge was still pending, but despite all of this they would not stop the transaction. I was told by three different employees that we had to cancel our debit cards, let the charge clear, and then open a case to try to get our money back. This was our account we pay all of our bills out of, and the money that was taken was a considerable amount for us, right before Christmas nonetheless. It took five business days to get our money back, for a charge they FLAGGED as fraudulent and had not cleared when I first called to take care of this.
      Our account was hacked again in April of 2022. I was able to cancel these transactions myself, but still had to go through the hassle of canceling and getting new debit cards (again, in less than six months). For anyone wondering, I did change all of our passwords in between these two incidents.
      Fast forward to today, the straw that broke the camels back, we got a cashiers check from another local financial institution (BankFiveNine) to deposit into our Landmark account. We were informed that these funds will now be on hold for A FULL WEEK. If this were a personal check, or from an out of state bank, I would completely understand. But this hold completely defeats the purpose of a cashier's check. They can call and verify the funds with BankFiveNine (I know this for a fact because I WORKED AT LANDMARK), but they won't, because they do not value us or their members, apparently.
      I have been banking with Landmark since 2007 when I started my very first job at 14, and worked there in 2014. But I will gladly take my banking elsewhere rather than put up with an institution that has not done a single thing to help us through the past year.
