      Terrible company. I requested cancellation after our business closed and no longer needed. A month later they are charging me extra month plus fees saying they didn't mean to credit me back (even though I cancelled well into the time frame to not be charged) and because when they went to take payment back and our then business account was closed obviously then I owed them money back. I said I never requested refund the gentleman who cancelled account apologized and just gave to me and now I'm supposed to pay you back plus fees because you have communication problem among your staff. Literally a horrible company, not transparent or helpful for small business insurance and will do anything to not assist with any claims. DO NOT USE

      Hi, I think you have a great reputation as a quality company, It is why I recently transferred my coverage to you. I'm not totally happy with the cost as it is considerably higher than last year. We will have to see all things work out. And a recent bumper scraper I encountered with another party, who was 100% at fault may be the reason. I should have had a police report made, but because it was in a parking lot entrance, I assumed it was obvious on the settlements, but your adjustor did not indicate that that was the finding.**************

      I would give 0 stars if I could. We received a commercial property quote from Acuity. We signed the papers and gave payment information. At the last minute they pulled our quote and declined it, supposedly because of the type of business. However, they knew what the business was and what we did before quoting us. Absolutely ridiculous that you did this to a veteran owned company. This company is a joke.

      Not a good company, I carried buisness insurance with Acuity and I went thru a hard time being a small business, and no longer could afford. They claim to have sent me an audit form which I previously filled out a few months prior. I was no longer using them but they still requested an audit and since I didnt fill it out, they sued me for $1700 in court for not filling out the audit form. It was completely bogus. Im a one man business and sometimes I dont work for a month because Im new and dont have connections in the industry. Its BS, if you join them they will penalize you on the way out.

      I would avoid this company at all costs. I moved my entire portfolio to them a month ago because my agent said they were good, and I was quoted a reasonable price. I then had the obligatory inspection. Apparently, Acuity is no longer writing policies for homes with 3-tab roofs. My roofs are all 3-tab. I find it rather odd that they would deny coverage for all 3-tab roofs, because a high-quality, 3-tab shingle, installed by a good roofing company is still pretty darn good. 30-year shingles were used on all my roofs. However, they can do whatever they want. What I'm peeved about is that they wrote a policy and took my money. I was never asked about the type of shingle I had. Now they give me a 10-DAY NOTICE of cancellation! After spending weeks getting this coverage in the first place, now I need to drop everything and spend the next 10-days frantically trying to piece together alternative coverage. I never withheld any information. I was 100% transparent and gave them everything they asked for. Something needs to be done regarding this practice. Once they take your money, they should be required to provide the coverage for at least a year.

      This insurance company carries a policy for the man who hit me in September of last year! They didnt come look at my vehicle until January and we're sitting at a week shy of March and NOTHING!!! I have video proof of their client hitting me and they still refuse to take claim!! I called them yesterday to ask for updates on what they plan on doing about my vehicle and the manager Becky at ext **** treated me worse than I could of ever expected. She refused to let me talk but had no issue putting my emotions in the dirt!! She said they refuse to pay for downtime of my business since this was my commercial vehicle. She said they have an attorney and they basically were not paying!! I was beside myself. When I told her about the video footage from the gas station she basically threatened me!! I instantly got off the phone and called my attorney. Their client has already had at least 5 wrecks in the year before he hit me in construction!!! So I would say to run from this company at all cost!!! They are horrible!!!

      After being a loyal customer for over 30 years i was dropped after an oversight of nonpayment. When I asked for renewal papers, thats when I discovered they said they had not been paid for the previous year. Why was i not notified sooner? After being so loyal to them i received zero loyalty in return.

      Horrible! I will never use Acuity again. I had them bundle my auto and car. Two weeks later they dropped my home owners insurance because my roof has 3 tab shingles. Then two weeks later they raise my auto rates by $50 per month. Their reason, my car and house was no longer bundled. No transparency with this company. Would not reccommend this company to ANYONE!

      Not a fan. We received a few different increases from the start of our policy term within a few months with only one of them being truly justified as being the result of an audit. When you try to cancel mid term they charge you a 10% penalty, that's in the "fine print", and then try to sell you a $100 premium so "it extends the period that you can file claims that would have occurred during your coverage with them." Trying to reason with customer service is pointless. They follow of the motto of increasing price without providing increased value.I also like how you can't leave a search or leave a review for them on ****** like a normal business. Guess they have friends in the right places.
