  I ordered a map on 10/12/23. At the time that I ordered it there wasn't anything stating what kind of timeline that I was looking at. After a month of seeing "Awaiting Fulfillment" with no explanation I attempted to contact this company. I didn't get any response to left messages and messages on their Facebook page until I started making negative remarks on every ad that they posted on Facebook. I was told then that they would try to make it by Christmas (the map was intended as a gift) but couldn't make a promise. Because they had never done this particular map before they keep giving an excuse of having to do something with the GIS data. GIS data is readily available and sometimes free. Since this is a map that hangs on the wall and not a navigational chart it doesn't need to be that precise, just look realistic. Fast forward to Christmas and still no map, and no contact from this company. 2 Days after Christmas I received the card that they said they'd send by Christmas to give to the intended recipient. So even the card was late and too little at that. After multiple attempts to get back in contact with them (they have a published phone number but that takes you to a recording that puts you on hold for about 30 minutes then eventually sends you to a voicemail box. I've left a few messages that were never responded to so not sure why they even bother), they finally responded to a text message that I left on one of their employees cellphones. I told them to cancel my order and refund my money. They did but not with out excuses of how overwhelmed they are with orders and how hard it is to get GIS data for these maps . They also said to prove that they were just out trying to scam people they are going to send the map anyway, I won't be holding my breath. Buried in their FAQ is the 7-21 day average production time and a few days for delivery. It has been 82 days since I placed my order and I really don't think I would have it by now even if I'd been patient.

  Placed order for a custom etched lake map. Honestly the timeframe to complete the order was around 12 weeks. But Sportsman customer service was responsive to my inquiries on status and the final product looks great. Very satisfied.

  We received our map of our lake from Sportsmans Connection. I only just received it. So I haven't had a chance to completely look at it... but it was exactly as I pictured... my husband is thrilled with it... I can't wait to hang it and admire it daily... Perhaps after a few days I'll change it to 5 stars...

  BUYER BEWARE! I also agree with the most recent review below dated 8/30. Stay as far away from this company as possible and find an engraved lake map on another website. I placed an order on July 12th that was supposed to be a "thank you" gift. Their site indicates 7-21 days for products to be shipped. I reached out on August 1 and was told by Colin that my order had a 8/9 "production deadline" and that they'd "have this shipped by the 14th". Well, no update provided and no tracking information was received by 8/15. I had to call this company on 8/15 and again, Colin stated that he'd update me by EOD tomorrow (8/16). On 8/16, I hadn't heard from Colin by 4pm so again needed to reach out asking where my update was. One day later, on 8/17, I finally heard back from Colin stating it's "possible" that my order be shipped today. Thankfully, the order was finally shipped 34 days after purchase and outside of their 7-21 day period, as advertised. When the product was delivered to the recipient, it wasn't half as well done as pictured on their website (of which, this lake has already been produced previously, so I could see exactly what I'd expect the recipient to receive). Just as the most recent review states, it looks like an amateur worked on this. I paid an extra $30 to have a short sentence engraved on the back thanking the recipient for a great trip to their lake. This was never engraved and is utterly embarrassing to send a "thank you" gift that was supposed to have a "thank you" on it, yet this company couldn't complete what I paid additional money for. For anybody considering sending one of these as a thank you, don't. What good is a "thank you" gift when it comes 4 weeks later than expected and doesn't even say "thank you" on it, as paid for? Absolutely embarrassing and yet I had to explain to the recipient that this entire process has been nothing short of a headache due to the lack of professionalism from SC Maps.   I purchased an engraved lake map of our lake. I paid $290 for it. When I received it, it looked like an amateur wood worker may have done this. It looked nothing like was advertised on the website. After looking at the product, I discovered it was not even our lake, actually far from it. The streets they advertised around the lake or not streets in my area. After contacting them at first they said that it was my fault because I did not pick the correct lake, however after I sent them overhead view of our lake and what they sent to me they admitted they carved the wrong lake. I requested a refund and have not heard a word and they have not offered to do anything to remedy the situation. This was a complete disappointment and I have filed a complaint with the bbb.
