      Not the same airline they used to be! 5th time in 14 months our prepaid booking of emergency row seats has been bumped to other seats with no warning until check in. Refunds not provided on all flights either! Just spent another 40 minutes on the phone and they were completely unable to help me get my seats back. They say no one is in them but that the seats are locked and can only be unlocked by someone at the airport but that they can't talk to anyone there. No department anywhere can help but maybe someone at the airport can but the agent couldn't recommend I go as she couldn't say for sure they would be able to. Best part is they say the reason they can't is because it is within 24 hours of the flight so those changes can only occur at the airport but you only find out when you go to check in which only happens 24 hours in advance! Years ago they were my favourite ******** airline, now I'm actively trying to avoid them!?????????????????????

      From ****** to ********** was the worst experience . Employees were rude , ignorant , negligent , ******* and horrible . I will never travel with West Jet

      This was the most stressful travel experience of my life. While other carriers were still flying from ***** ***** to *******, It was West Jet that left us stranded repeatedly. Here are the concerns I have with how the situation was handled: There was absolutely no communication from WestJet. It is the responsibility of the carrier to take care of passengers during a cancellation and we did not receive a correspondence of any kind. No email, text, nothing. We found out our flight home was cancelled by checking on a flight tracking website. WestJet repeatedly rebooked and cancelled our flight daily, and we would not have been able to return home for an additional 6 days if we waited. After our flight home was cancelled, we could not reach WestJet. We waited on hold for over 8 hours before giving up. We tried reaching out via email, facebook messenger, anything we could do but we were told we could not be helped there or via self serve since we booked through Westjet vacations. The resort we booked at was specifically selected because I have a food allergy and this resort was well equipped to accommodate it (it was a premium resort.) The new resort we were sent to was completely unacceptable. We had no idea what was to happen to us until our WestJet rep showed up at our resort that we would be sent to a new resort. He informed us there was a shuttle leaving in 20 minutes and that we had to be checked out and on the resort or we would be forfeiting the last leg of our trip. After a full day without communication from WestJet and desperate to get home, we were forced to book a flight with *** ****** to try and return home in time for Christmas. Luckily we did, as I mentioned before, our flight was cancelled and rebooked so many times that we wouldn't have gotten home until 6 days after our vacation was set to end despite every other carrier flying to and from ***** ****** to *******. This last minute flight cost my fiance and I nearly $1,000.

      I used to love Westjet. T I have their card and have always flown with them as have my family who live across the country. I am at a loss for words on how horrific their service has become. They lost my baggage on my way out. They found it but did not bother sending it to me and simply left it sitting in the airport until I came over on a ferry to come and get it. I have been waiting 8 months for reimbursement. They make every step a nightmare and just try and get people to give up. My mother is flying here and chose the inexpensive flight that she can't change. They then jnaged her flight and won't help accommodate her to the later flight because of her ticket choice. It did not say that Westjet could simply change her flight time and leave her in an impossible situation to get their from her connection. She didn't change anything; they changed it!My sister and her kids were coming here for vacation for 9 days and their flight was canceled twice. They lost 2 days of their time here and no compensation was made at all. This is completely unacceptable that a company can get away with these actions.

      They certainly figured how make a pandemic work in their favour. We had trip booked in 2020 that had be canceled due to covid. Every other aspect of our trip was refunded in full because we had paid for a service/experience the businesses were not able to provide due to the circumstances. All WestJet would offer was travel bank credit - it's their "policy", publicly available for anyone to read I was told. Although I did not plan a global pandemic that would interrupt my a travel plans and because I was not able to travel on WestJet's predetermined schedule before the travel bank credits expired, my money is forfeit to WestJet and I receive no service. They have no qualms about stealing from anyone, including pensioners. During these unprecedented last few years would it kill them to leave the travel credits available until you are able to plan your next trip? I think that is generous of me to consider as a compromise considering they have no intention of returning the money **** **** ******.

      I booked a flight with WestJet, my Dad fell Ill and I had to book an emergency flight one way so I couldnt change my departure flight due to my basic fare no problem;) I had paid for a round trip fare so I intended on using my return flight home to AB. I waiting for my check in email from WestJet, but it didnt come. So I called at 11 pm the night before I was to leave. To my surprise the West Jet representative told me I didnt have a return ticket. It was canceled but I didnt cancel it or alter it. I was simply a no show on departure as I wasnt even in AB. I asked her to show me WestJet policy on cancellations for no shows and she couldnt. Only cancellations or changes I was so mad and had to buy a one way ticket home with other airline. The thing that gets me is that West Jet could resell my return ticket and make even more money to line their pockets. I had talked to a representative and then emailed them to escalate, its now been 5 days and no response. NEVER FLYING WITH WEST JET AGAIN!!!       I have been flying with multiple airlines and I can say for sure westjet is the worst Airline and has the worst customer service ever. I was supposed to fly from ********* to ******** in December 2022- my flight got cancelled because of the snow. I never got a cancellation email or an apology email from westjet, it was the pilot who told me my flight got cancelled and I was waiting in the airport for almost 8 hours. WestJet refunded my trip in westjet dollars and despite arguing with them several times that I needed my money back they refused to refund me the whole amount in cash. Worst is that westjet dollars can only be used on vacation package and it expires within 1 year. This is the most ridiculous airline and they are always saying they are trying their best to help you but actually doesn't give a s*** about their customers. I rarely write reviews but in this particular case, I just wanted to make people aware please book with other airlines and avoid westjet at any cost if possible - I don't wish anyone to go through this frustrating and mentally draining process dealing with westjet.

      WestJet used to be my preferred airline. I even changed my credit card to one of theirs. Over the recent year of monthly flights for work Ive had repeated lengthy flight delays, cancellations and bags lost on two separate occasions.Im looking to other options for my flight needs.
