      Zero stars. How is it WestJet is allowed to operate to the travel and hospitality business. They emailed a time change however trying to change on their website and get " technical error" contact them. Call the 1 888 number to hear a voice recorder saying " higher than normal call volume and unable to take the call " . ( never heard that before) . Have left multiple call backs and still no call from WestJet at designated times . Absolute worst customer care and service provided for airline travelers. Would like to file a complaint...not a review ...as I want my money back and will fly someone else. Would NOT recommend WestJet for travel.

      Zero Stars for customer serviceToday is Thursday. I have been trying to make changes to a Westjet flight since Saturday. I eventually received a callback on Tuesday. The issue was not resolved, and the Westjet agent advised me to call back on Wednesday - late - to increase my chances of getting through. It is now Thursday, and I have been on hold with Westjet customer service for 3 hours. At this rate, the plane will be boarding, and I still will not have succeeded in getting through. The issue - cancelling the first part of the flight but not the return - can only be done through an agent. But Westjet makes it impossible to talk to an agent. It has now become a battle of willsthe question whether I will fall asleep hunched over my phone (now 3am, on hold since midnight) or give up - as Westjet clearly wants its customers to do rather than provide basic services or allow for any form of communication.

      Ill never fly with WestJet again after my terrible experience after an employee told me NOT to cancel and request refund after there was a union shortage told me to hold out and submit a claim after and I will receive full refund which turned out there was 0 refund after my claim was submitted AND TOLD NOT TO REQUEST A REFUND DURING THE INCONVENIENCE after losing out on 1000$ dollars I am left with nothing

      We booked a flight 6 weeks in advance to *****. The day before, we went online to do our check in, an hour later we get an email saying our flight had been canceled due to plane maintenance and are being rebooked on a new flight. Well that new flight changed twice, and we lost almost a day on our already short 3 day trip. No compensation offered at all. The maintenance on the plane was due to a hail storm that happened a week ago! You cant tell me west jet didnt have time to figure this out!

      For 2/3 times that I have flown with WestJet they cancelled my flight, rebooked it for the next day, and had so many lay overs on the rescheduled flight it would go into the next day, no compensation with anything not even a courtesy meal let alone a hotel room, this company seriously needs to treat their customers right especially when they're in the wrong! I will gladly take a 20 hour lay over with Air Canada then have a direct flight with these morons, on-top of that the planes themselves are junk, seats hard as rock, no entertainment, don't waste your money. Even if you do get through to customer support they won't help you

      If I could give Westjet negative stars I would. I had purchased two tickets for a westjet flight via Priceline in April. This was probably the most important trip of my life. At 37, I'd finally found my dad and I was going to Canada to meet him for the first time. My flight was scheduled for July 1st, on June 30th I checked into my flight with the excitement of a child going to Disney World only to be woken the next morning with a canceled flight due to a workers strike. You can only imagine the devastation I felt. I called Priceline to try and make last minute adjustments, after speaking with them I decided a refund would be my best option as we had already purchased our stay in Canada and it was nonrefundable. That was on July 1, it is now July 9 and Westjet has not responded to our refund request. I had to pay $2800 for a new flight so we could fly out that day and not lose any more money. We had absolutely NO money to enjoy our trip thanks to Westjet and their lack of responses and communication. I've received NO communication from WestJet since the canceled flight.

      They will not take any phone in customer service calls. Was on hold for a hour and a half with No one answering the line. They should stay Out of Business

      Westjet is the worst, and they don't care, I am sure some of the staff care but the owner of Westjet has no morals. I went to ******* in April and have never booked a Westjet all inclusive, it was so bad, cancelled our last day and we were 5 hours delayed leaving so lost the first day too. We work hard for our vacations and Westjet just doesn't seem to understand that they are making a mess of people's lives. And on top of the mess, they are not taking any responsibility financially for their bad business practices. Last month I went to *********** and again Westjet is a disaster and again they don't care. In both cases they just say mechanical problems because they know they don't have to compensate their customers, a loophole they abuse hourly. Swoop was the best and Westjet purchased them and shut them down, this all makes no sense! I have no idea how our government has not stepped in to shut them down, or at the very least make them accountable for how they run this business.

      WestJet airline handling of customers during the mechanics' strike was terrible. There was no option other than to request a refund online for a canceled flight and, following this request, there was no conformation that this request was received or processed. There were no options for rescheduling, to contact an agent for information (phone calls were rejected), and there were not even clear ways to make inquires via their website. This has been the poorest response I have ever received from an airline in 40 years of traveling. I caution all customers who think of using this airline.

      Flight got rescheduled 1 day before travel with a 14 hour trip back to LAX reaching late. I could not contact anyone at WestJet to change my flight nor option to change on-line. Phone number to contact plays message and no chat. Cancelled my return and booked on American Airlines. No o e has sent an email nor called back. Poor Customer Service and lot of delays and gate changes.
