      I have tickets on Westjet. My wife became seriously ill and cannot travel. If I call Westjet to try to cancel the tickets, they tell me Priceline has to cancel them. If I call Priceline, they tell me Westjet has to cancel them. In either case I can't use the travel insurance I purchased from a third party because I need cancellation verification. Overall I think this is Westjet's issue. I think I am being ******* so that they can keep my money. I would like Westjet to call me and resolve this.

      As a Platinum tier member that flys only in premium or business with a spend of more than 30K per year ( just on WestJet), with the changes since they were sold the best word I can use to sum up the service is disgraceful and disgusting. I fly 3 weeks per month for business and I am also top tier with *** ******, who are far from perfect but much better than WestJet. I usually do carry on as I dont have the time to wait, when I have literature for an event is the only time a check anything. So move forward to today April 28th 2024, trip from ******* to ******* for a trade show, 2 boxes to check so I went to priority with these 2 boxes, there was 5 people in front of me and with each person the woman at the counter seemed to have some issues, she was unfriendly and rude. I went with my 2 boxes and she quickly told me they should be at over size, I have checked these same 1 cubic foot boxes hundreds of times as I told her she then ordered me to go and get 2 of the large plastic bins and she would let this go! Next she focused on my ****** bag, this is a carry on bag and has never been checked on any flight on any airline, she then ordered me to put in in the sizing device, I said NO. She then told me she would make certain that it was checked at the gate and also made a call as I stepped away. I was randomly checked at security and they looked in every bag, this was from her second call. I spoke with a WestJet supervisor and told him all of the above, he said that with all the changes WestJet was getting worse every day, he apologized for her nasty behavior and said he would speak with her and that he could clearly see my bag was carry on and she should know that. Just posting so maybe no one else will have the misfortune to deal with this nasty woman!

      I have never seen such a worst airlines who are not worried about there clients I had travelled in **************** Luftansa and also in Airfrance but never experienced such a worst customer service. I booked a ticket on April 1st 2024 from ***** to ****** on 24th April 2024. We were not aware that we cannot transit through ****** with two different airport in ****** so we wanted to cancel the ticket and rebook but unfortunately the westjet airline has refused to prefund at least some amount. I understand there would be cancellation fees incurred but not the entire amount without any refund. I have lost almost $800. I am sorry to say I will never book it through weather again. Thank you for your service.

      Do not book a flight with WestJet! WestJet cancelled my flight to ********** in August 2024 and rescheduled my flight 24 hours later. This was a cost savings measure for WestJet as they cancelled the flights for a duration of 2 months on Wednesdays. I called their customer service and explained the situation that I had booked rooms at a resort and could not change the booking date. The WestJet agent located another flight that connected through ******* that was a WestJet flight and also with their partner Delta Airlines. After speaking with their supervisor the request for the flight change was denied.The supervisor stated I could take the flight for the following day or take a refund. No other offer or compensation. I explained that the flight costs had gone up on other airlines since the time that I had booked the flight and it was unacceptable that I should be out of pocket to pay for a different flight when WestJet made the choice to cancel my flight.WestJet's response was to say go file a complaint. Wow ..that is what airline service has become.

      I was treated so badly in ********* trying to board my flight home to *******. After 4 years of not going anywhere cause of *****, i took a trip to ******** for a milestone Birthday. Standing in line a woman with a strong French accent made me go sit down while she called someone. This male employee in a workers vest came. He was very abusive to me. He said i wasn`t going to be allowed to get on my flight home. All gates were closed. I stood there crying. My needed medications an all personal belongs were on the plane. At the very end, he allowed me to board. Other people boarding the plane could hear the abuse and looked at me with shock on their faces! When i finally got let on the plane, the customers said thank God you got on here etc! I had paid extra to upgrade to a window seat. There was a woman sitting in my seat. The flight attendant told me to sit in a aisle seat. All i could see was seats in front of me. I sat there crying in total shock, as to what i had gone through. I said to myself (Happy Birthday ****). I have flown with West jet for many years! They were the friendliest airline. Not any more! I never want to fly with West jet again. I did try to get ahold of West jet for days. All lines were busy Call back. I gave up trying, but never forgot the abuse i took from that employee ( Male). Very sad.

      The policies of WestJet and the government of Canada's the Air Passenger Protection (APPR) are a joke. What good is a policy to protect passengers of airlines if WestJet is allowed to cop out stating "Unplanned Aircraft Maintenance" to avoid having to pay the consumer. I had scheduled a flight from ******* to ******* on January 27. This flight was delayed almost 4 hours and I had an event in the evening in the area, that I almost missed. We were compensated $15 dollars for food. The APPR policy from Canada states that there ought to be monetary compensation for over a 3 hour delay. Apparently this law just appeases the consumer with the illusion that it protects the customer. But really it does nothing. WestJet cited "Unplanned Aircraft Maintenance" to avoid paying passengers. I will never recommend WestJet, or any other Canadian Airline, unless it were absolutely necessary. You have lost the faith of a customer and also my business.

      Their website says $30 CAD for a checked bag if you prepay. I tried 4 times on different browsers, mobile and web and would always get an error asking me to call. I tried calling but the wait times were too bad while I was travelling. So I ended up getting it to work finally under 24 hours before online and was charged $40 USD instead :(When I got home it took 70 minutes to get through to customer service and they said sorry you already paid $55 for the checked bag we can't help you, make sure to call beforehand next time. There goes 70 minutes :(

      Not impressed, book last minute flight, paid $800 to get home to my dying father. He died 10 days later but I'm to late for bereavement fair, it has to be done 7 days after your flight. I'm sorry Westjet I was a little busy spending day and night with my dying father.

      Purchased econofare with companion voucher, and that changing flight would be only change in fare. When we went to change the return date, they said we had to cancel the entire flight, repurchase with a new companion voucher. No accountability taken for original misinformation, total lack of credibility. As long time holders of this voucher, we cannot wait to cancel and never look back.

      They changed my flight departure by 8 hours! They said I accepted it (which I did not). They took a $200 cancelation, gave me a voucher for their airline - whiy would I fly with them? And said there was nothing they could do about it.Where did customer service go so downhill that the customer is wrong, they steal more than 3/4 of my airfare and won't even accept that THEY could make a mistake.This would have been my first flight with them. BOO!
