      My husband and I were not seated together when there were seats together available. The seat checkin option errored and we were told to talk to an agent. The agent was unhelpful to the point of being rude and said this happened all the time. Apparently westjet knows about this and allows this to happen. This is not the service they say they are providing and is completely unacceptable.

      Today I experienced some of the worst customer service from Westjet **** * ****** ***** ***** ******* ***** ***** ***** ****** I was visibly upset that I had missed my flight as I approached the customer service desk. I explained that there was no overhead announcement saying my flight was boarding at any time. I was only sitting about 300 meters away from my gate. I was condescendingly told ** ***** that it was ridiculous of me to expect to hear the announcement from where I was sitting and that it was my fault for not sitting closer to my gate. She then accused me of verbally abusing her and refused to continue helping me. This has absolutely soured Westjet for me. I will not be flying this airline anytime soon and I would not recommend it to anyone. Ever. I’m extremely disappointed as I’ve never had an issue before this.

      Delay/Lost luggage: The WestJet customer service is not taking any responsibility or updating me the status or following up with the concern. I have been ignored by WestJet. Sent emails several time requesting for a call. Never received any revert or call. Eventually my luggage is still lost. No one is responding to my queries. It has been already 14 days and my language is lost twice also my luggage details information of tracking has been removed from WestJet online site. The funny part is I have been told by WestJet customer support that WestJet is not responsible for following up on my Delay/Lost luggage. I had total 2 numbers of bag in which 1 bag they fond and refused to deliver to me. I had to go myself to the airport counter to collect it and it was broken also items missing. Emailed WestJet with the pictures about this several times and got no response yet.

      Horrible company. Very difficult to get ahold of an actual person on the phone. Their system was down when I was flying. Luckily I had family coming on the trip that printed boarding passes off at home and brought them as I was unable to get one at the air port. 10s if not 100s of people were forced to miss their flights that day due to their system could not print off boarding pass. I also could not get my bag tag to check my bag. So after trying many times. Before we missed our flight I made a last minute decision to go buy carry on bags, stuff as much as we could inside and the rest we stored at the air port. Between the suitcase and storage fee for the week I was left with a near 500 dollar bill. After submitting 3 claims to separate departments and getting the runaround. Each department not claiming responsibility. I was finally told it was my choice to buy said things and that I could have in fact checked my bags and receive them a couple days late. However that was not the case. I was never offered that option. I was in the sea of people unable to get on their flight and or check their bag. Nobody was told they could take our bags and receive them later. Ive spoken to them 4 times, wasted hours of my time over months. And they offer me absolutely no compensation. They continue to say it was my choice to store my luggage at air port. I asked if I should have left it on the curb at the airport instead and they said that would have also been my choice.

      WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. SUGGEST YOU NEVER, EVER BOOK WITH THEM!Second time with then and they literally ruin my vacation both times.First time was in 2018 coming home from ****** they did not let me board because they could not verify my ETA (eletronic travel authorization to ******). It was clearly an error in their system. Super rude attendants did NOTHING to help and just stated that we lost the flight. Had to dispute the transaction with my credit card company to get the money back.Now, a few years later, since we already have a PR, therefore could not have a system error, we decided to give it another try. Again, they did not let us check in. First they said there was an error with my name (because it was too big for the ticket). They kept us at check in for 2h to fix this issue. Then they said we could not flight because it was too late to issue the ticket for my baby (but we have been there already for 2h with the baby that was included in the reservation since the beginning?!?!?). When we told the manager we have been there at check in all the time he said to my face that I was not?!?! (Completely gaslighting the whole situation). Then o asked them to put me in the next flight and they said they couldnt because I made the reservertion with their partner (West Jet Vacation?!?). So I was left again without a flight and without a refund. I honestly think they are just corrupt to the limit and were expecting me to offer something to board the flight that I have already paid for. I am never, ever again giving them a cent. And, of course, will call my cc again to dispute the transaction!!

      Would give zero stars if I could! Our flight to **** was delayed due to maintenance & we were traveling as a family of seven. We knew we would be missing our car rental appointment time, & asked the WestJet ground staff for assistance. They repeatedly lied to my family promising over and over again that we would be given taxi vouchers/assistance once we arrived only to be left completely high and dry, stranded in ****** at 1:00am with no way to get to our accommodation. Tried to submit a reimbursement for the shuttle cost to get my exhausted family to our hotel, only to be declined and given robotic, copy and paste responses. I've flown a lot in my life and this is BY FAR the worst customer service I have ever seen. No matter how good the deal seems, WestJet is NOT worth the headache. This was a dream vacation for my family, turned into a nightmare.

      Forced to check our carry-on bag (which were standard carry-on size) when boarding the plane even though there was room in the overhead bins. The flight attendants would have had to shift the items slightly. (I have photo proof that there was room in the overhead bins.) The crew had all the bins closed, LIED and said there was no room for four passengers’ carry-on items. No apologies. And nothing offered to try and make the inconvenience up to us. There were also other instances throughout the flight of the crew being unprofessional to other passengers. Wrote to WestJet.com and they simply said they have every right to check your bag. I’ve made a point of flying WestJet over the years, but this is the second experience in the last month of extremely poor customer service.

      On my last flight all the online service on the plane was not working, so no movies and no internet for the entire 4h flight. When I contacted Westjet and ask for some sort of compensation for the service they did not provided, the answer wans that service is provided by a sub-contractor ( *********) and not Westjet and for that raison they will not compensate a dime. Well I taught I bought an AIRLINE Ticket with WESTJET not with *********...

      WestJet leaves you stranded at the airport. Delayed flight so we missed our connection (which was with them) and were given no hotel credit, nothing. I will never fly with them again.
