      0 stars!!! Cant get their **** in a group. Constant delays the easiest flight seems to be the toughest thing for them to accomplish!!!

      My husband's and my flight was a nightmare! My husband is ********, he's a US Permenant Residency, I am ********, prior to leaving *******, I asked if my husband was OK to travel with his ** Visa, I was told, he was. When we arrived in Paris, they would not let my husband enter and was told, the airline never should have let us board without a France visa! They would not even return us home @ no charge, we spent the night on the airport floor before purchasing tickets to fly home the following day! My husband was treated like a criminal for entering Paris without a Visa! I was treated with hatred for not knowing he needed a visa!

      Three of us arrived to check in with Westjet flying out of ***************** in Sep 2023. The computers were down so about 16 of us weren't allowed to board the flight for being unable to "check us in". Then Westjet wouldn't put us on the next flight out because it meant having to put us in upgraded seats. So I booked the three of us out on the next flight one way and made sure our return flights were still valid before we left, they were.So here's the problem, cause the computers were down, Westjet says we missed our flight, didn't check in, the flight left on time, no interruptions. Even though magically 16 flyers watched people board after us and our plane fly away without us... hhhmmmmm I've made the claim for expenses and westjets air passenger protection regulations (which would entitle passengers compensation for essential lost time, delay, etc)... but hve been denied all of them cause again WESTJETS COMPUTURES SAY we missed our check in, when it was the computers being down not allowing 16 flyers to check in.I would have been more then happy with the expenses and air passenger protection back, but to get nothing, and told its our fault cause we missed our flight, h*** no.Side note - the staff could have checked us in manually and we would have been able to make our flight, but they completely admitted they hadn't been trained how to do that. But they were super nice and did try to help us so much, thumbs up to the staff there for trying so hard. One of the other problems is they have no IT staff available to contact before 7 - 8 am to fix computers, but they have flights going out before that, great support there Westjet ??

      They used to be very good, but now they aren't. Unfortunately, a few bad apples ruin the company's reputation, and there seem to be more bad apples in WestJet these days. What is amazing is that their rude and obnoxious staff get away with the way they treat passengers, and seem to think they can do what they like with absolute impunity. Even though their bad reputations are known by their more professional and courteous colleagues, the unprofessional ones somehow still maintain their positions and there seem to be no consequences for their terrible behaviour towards others. They also misrepresent conversations in the internal notes and records they keep, always blaming the passenger for everything. How do I know? Because a rude and aggressive agent at their check-in counter at ****** Airport was reading the internal notes in my file out loud for everyone else to hear. Although the colleague standing at the check-in counter next to her was visibly concerned by her behaviour, no one told her not to violate the passenger's privacy, or urged her to treat others with courtesy and respect. When I arrived at the gate area before boarding to complain about her, the WestJet gate agents said her reputation was well-known as she had upset other passengers too, so clearly it seems no one at WestJet cares and they let their staff do as they please.

      If zero stars were an option I'd choose that. While on our honeymoon in Mexico, a mechanical breakdown in Regina stopped our flight from coming to pick us up. A few meal vouchers were given to us while waiting in the airport in ****** just before Christmas which was great. A few hours later we were told the flight status changed from delayed to cancelled, we were put up in a different resort for the night with an email saying don't contact us, westjet will contact you. Unable to contact anyone from West jet and having to get back home for a medical procedure, we had to book a flight home with *** ******. Westjet did not reimburse for anything. And too top it all off, the "rescue" flight sent down to pick up the remaining passengers didn't even go back to the original departure location of Regina. They took everyone to Calgary and said close enough! Sorry, no refund! I will never fly westjet again.

      I used to always only fly with WestJet whenever possible. The reason was because the customer service was excellent. Then of course the whole covid debacle, then the staff shortages everywhere, they along with everyone else in the world lost its customer service it seemed. But I have flown twice in the last month, once from ** to *******, and once from ** to ireland. I've had excellent customer service both times. I even had a situation where I lost my passport at the airport, missed my flight, was completely upset and they helped me out very graciously. I feel so much gratitude towards them for that day. I hope they keep up the amazing customer service because I'm back to only flying with WestJet.Shout out to JP for getting me home!

      HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!How can the online check-in system consistently provide an error message?Hilarious, that they tell you not to call them and go to the airport extra early, which is exactly what I did ..... just to find out that they have no staff at their counters and the self serve kiosk just gives you the same error message as their online system did the day before ...If this happens once, OK, but if it happens over and over again it is a sign of INCOMPETENCE! Also, I brought this up with somebody at the airport (both in ******* and *******) but nobody seems to care enough at Westjet about customer experience and fix their system!

      The flight attendants were very nice, otherwise they lost my luggage and have been absolutely no help retrieving it they never called my back nor do they call and update me as stated multiple times they would. My luggage is lost because of THEIR mistake at the airport and not one person has apologized or offered any solid resolution they keep telling me the bag has been delivered and it very obviously has not been, yet no one can tell me where it is and whats happening with it.

      HI there, I was going to drive with my brother to ******** ** on Sunday, August 20th. A couple of days before I went, my brother told me that he can't go because work told him there was a state of emergency at ******** **. He was going for work and wanted me to come along. Anyways, when I would get there, I would stay a few days with my brother and then come back with Westjet flight bought with Airmiles on Wednesday, August 23rd in the evening to ********* International Airport. So I can go back to work on Thursday, August 24th and my brother would stay there till Friday, August 25th and drive back himself. I called Airmiles at least 4 times to see if I can get reimbursed based of the fact there was a State of Emergency in ******** **. Today, (Monday, August 28th), my last time calling Airmiles and tried to get Westjet to give me a reimbursed or at least credit for a year so I can rebook within that time. Westjet refused to do it. The thing is, it wasnt my fault that I couldnt go myself but the fact that nature stop me from going to ******** ** Not really please with Westjet. I would never book with Westjet again!!!

      Westjet cancelled a my evening flight due to mechanical issues (Okay - I have no issue there). I was advised I would be receiving hotel voucher via email shortly and rebooked for the next morning (still no issue). At 10 PM with my 2 kids the voucher never arrived. I phoned and was advised to get a hotel and I would be reimbursed (************* *** on a Friday in the summer). The only hotel I could get was the last room at the Holiday Inn for $377, after the fact Westjet is telling me they are unable to reimburse. Complete BS from your customer service team to lie to customers. ****** will get my business from now on.
