Every time i fly with west jet i regret it Worst airline in canada West jet my last flight , i bought the cancellation insurance and missed my connecting flight. West jest cancelation insurance through ******* would not cover the loss. I paid for 2 connecting flights last trip. This time my connecting flight was already in the air before we were off the plane , a bunch of people going to ****** had no connecting flight when they arrived and had to stay the night in ******* and a bunch of people going to llyodminster also had no connecting flight and were forced to spend 24 hours in the airport or pay for their own hotels and food. The flight before these exact same thing happend they announced that our connecting flight had taken off again before we were off the plane. So thats 3 out of my last 3 domestic flighs spent 24 hours in an airport or paid for my own hotel because west jet does not honour good buisness practice and has zero morals regarding what is right and what is fair. Absolutly disshonorable. I work 4 to 5 weeks staight to get 5 days with my family . 3 out of 3 of the last flights my connecting flight was airborn before we even got off the plane. And one day less with my family and cost couple hundred dollars each time .. Shameful they're allowed to do buisniess . Their customers spend insane amounts of money on hotels and meals and cab rides and reschedualing and most important , time with their family. So frusterating and sad they can get away with behavour like this

three charges for trip not provided and can't get credited to my account. I've spent hours trying to get through to someone and they say they can't do anything. first time i was told it was a technical difficulty but now my credit card is locked for over ten thousand pending charges for product not booked. I'm being held hostage

Rough start to our day:We arrived two hours ahead of time for our flight this morning. We missed the flight due to how busy it was. We had to check a bag and for some reason it said we had no bags to check when we scanned our boarding passes. We had to get in a long line to check the bag. But we still had an hour when we got our bag checked. But then the security line was another hour. They never paged us our called our names or even made any announcements about last call. Our gate was right by security and I ran and told the ladies at the gate and they said theyd do their best. We showed up at 9:15 which is when our flight was scheduled to depart. They did not wait for us. The doors were closed and it was all locked up. Westjet did nothing for us. On the contrary, our return flight is forfeited because we no showed. Thats what was pretty shocking to me. If I book a one way flight now my return flight that I already paid for is no longer valid. How can that be? Theyre taking the seats that I paid for and reselling them. **** ***** **** * **** ** ** **** **** *** ** ***** They want to charge us $2000 for brand new return tickets. No refund or consideration for the $900 tickets we already bought. My parents were on an Air Canada flight departing at the same time and we all got to the airport at the same time and they got on their flight just fine. There was another couple who missed the flight just like us and Westjet got them on the next flight free of charge.

horrible experience. They say 23KG per luggage and they mean it. The WestJet management is smart to enforce this rule to reduce the checked in luggage weight. No one can bring exact 23 KG it will be less, or they need to pay more for additional weight. I purchased two checked in luggage. One was 21 KG and the other was 24KG. The combined weight for two luggage is less than 46KG. The airline staff asked me to adjust the wait before checking in my luggage. I need to ensure my luggage is packed safely and not weight is balanced. I had to rearrange things in the airport and messed up my organised setup. I flew on many international flights never ran into this issue before. They are bit relaxed on hand luggage weight. Avoid this airline at all costs. Travel with airline that puts customers convenience and comfort first. Never again with Westjet.

When we arrived to ******** International Airport after a 6 hour flight with two small children we were left with no stroller for 45 minutes. We stood there with our children in our arms waiting with all of the other parents with children. When we finally reached the baggage area we waited 2 hours for our luggage. A 6 hour flight with a 1 and 3 year old we had to stand there for 2 hours to wait for our bags. A westjet representative stood there and told us there was no excuse for this and she was at a loss for words as all of the children from the flight cried and all of the adults waiting frustratingly. This is not good enough. Our luggage was trapped on an airplane for 2 hours after already waiting a half an hour for a stroller. Something needs to be done about this, we paid just under $3000.00 with additional baggage fees to and from and was left stranded with 2 small children for hours. This is absolutely absurd.

HORRIBLE customer service. The gate agent in ******* was so rude to me when I asked for assistance after my flight was delayed in ********* causing me to miss my connecting flight. Just kept telling me it was Delta's fault and they have to deal with it. I will not ever be flying with Westjet again.

Travelled with them, they broke our suitcase on the way to ******* no refund. 100$ usd we had to spend on a suitcase. On the way back they inspected the suitcases... thats there job but they didnt wrap everything back so the bottles of oils broke everywhere on my mothers clothes causing 400$ damage to her clothes. I would get a message saying there busy and would never get a reply. They asked a bunch of questions at first but nothing came of it. This was 2 years ago. I will never use westjet ever again

My WestJet nightmare: Fiasco after fiasco after fiasco, with a chaser of bad employee attitude A sickening blend of abusive policies and staggering incompetence was on full display in my recent experience with WestJet. I checked in at ******* ******* on Sunday, expecting to get home to ******* that evening. A stunning series of WestJet fiascoes later, I finally staggered into ******* on Tuesday afternoon, sleep-deprived and wrecked. An itinerary scheduled to take 7 hours ended up taking 45 excruciating hours from my life. Forget the flight cancellation for "unscheduled maintenance." Forget the hundreds of dollars extra I had to spend because the WestJet "vouchers" were mostly unusable. Forget the queueing after midnight in WestJet's Calgary hub from hell, watching WestJet managers haplessly herding the dozens of us trapped there like zoo animals, with nothing happening for an hour. Forget the 20 or 30 minutes of sleep on a bench at 3am. Forget all that, because that was not the worst of it. The worst of it was the indifference, the "Why are you here?" and "You know, my life would be so much better if you just vapourized" manners of most of the WestJet ground employees. The one exception I encountered was a kind and helpful young woman who had only been on the job for a few days -- apparently not long enough to have her soul mangled beyond recognition. My outbound flight was on Air Canada. I'm no fan of theirs, but on this trip, the score was Air Canada 500, WestJet 0. WestJet clearly wants no future business from me, and I'll be happy to oblige.

My flight left 30 minutes before departure. We were at WestJet booth for boarding pass at 11:45 AM, when we learned that our flight is schedule to leave at 1 PM instead of 1:30 PM. The staff was at the booths but took too long to give us boarding passes. Once we got the boarding passed, the staff did not advise us to hurry up to get to the gate. We made it to the gate at 12:56 PM, as there was a long line up at the security check in. The door was closed, and we ended up missing our flight. Upon request at the ******** Services, we were informed that we should be there at least 10 minutes before the departure time. I tried to explain that as per our booking our flight time was 1:30 PM, so we planned accordingly but your staff did not advise us to get to the gate ASAP. A week ago, when we were flying to ******* our WestJet flight was delayed as pilot announced that the flight would be delayed as they are waiting for three passengers to board the plane. We were very hopeful that they would do the same for us, but flight left the gate 2 minutes before the schedule time of 1 PM. They never announced our name as we were pretty sure that they can not leave us as we had checked in baggage, and we had boarding passes. We had to rebook the flight for 1:30 AM and paid another $ ***** for four of us to get back to *******. I would never travel with WestJet and would not recommend others.
