My contract got expired last month was $131 + tax includes home phone and unlimited internet I called customer service to renew it the said we dont have same deal now he offered me $181 with same services that I have and one more deal $158 + tax including cable and security camera then I dont have another choice but I told him we dont using cable it is still in closed in box I even didnt open it one technician came any install the door bell camera . Yesterday I feel very bad when my sister told me she got same deal $131 because we bought same deal together.I call them 2 weeks ago in same month.I need explanation why I got expensive deal with useless services that I didnt goona use it . Its been 9 years with Telus but now I am regretting . Why this discriminationTelus

I was really happy with my telus service and because of circumstances beyond my control I need to move. I was happy to take telus with me and phoned them to have my services changed over to my new address. I was informed they do not serve that area and when I move I would have to pay them a $400 cancelation fee. I did not want to cancel and it is not my fault they do not serve that area. I think it is unethical especially during these atrocious times of high costs of living that they expect me to pay this. I mean I thought I was a loyal customer! Seriously? I asked the new company I will be dealing with if I get charged cancelation fee if I move to an area they don't service. They said absolutely not, you don't just move on purpose if your happy with our service. I was happy with telus, but now... I will NEVER deal with them again. In the future I will be moving back here and they totally lost any future business with me. As a warning shop around and ask these types of questions because life is always uncertain and you don't want to be stuck with these outrageous extra costs through no fault of your own. I figured it was a contract between us, as long as they provide me with service, I stay with them for the two years....not the case. BE aware.Telus

1 starstay away from this crooked company. They want you to cancel your account with a written letter as per their very fine fine printed terms and conditions. Then they ignore your letter and keep taking money from your account. So i went and deleted them from being able to take from my account in which 2 months later, there they are taking again through a different identity. So i sat with my banker as she called them, cancelled everything for good and even had a the money they wrongfully took, sent back to me. Months later they send me another invoice and like F if i was going to pay them one more red *****. Now i have these grease ***** reporting me to the credit bureau. I want this company investigated for their shady business practices and i want my name removed from owing them anything.Review fromAlex P

2 starsWe have been Vivint customers for 16 years and haven't had any issues with Vivint and their security system until the day we decided to cancel it. I followed their process, filled in a cancelation request form which I sent to Vivint by email in October 2022. I was told to wait for 30 days before service would be canceled. Unfortunately nothing happened, I sent another cancelation request and called them to make sure the service would be canceled. The system was still active and Vivint kept charging my credit card. I called them again and ***** reassured me that I would get refund and service would be canceled but my credit card was charged again I had to cancel my credit card to stop Vivint from charging it. After that I had many calls from Vivint ****************** that there was issue with my credit card but nobody called me back about the service cancelation request I submitted. Yesterday (five months after I submitted cancelation request) I received a paper bill from Vivint *********** in *****, ****. They are charging me for the last two months. I don't know what else I can do to stop Vivint service.This is dishonest company. I will write reviews everywhere I can to warn other people to stay away from Vivint ( now ***** in ******). I called the US office today and I was told that my case was going to be escalated but they still wouldn't do anything to stop service. Stay away from Vivint.Review fromM. M.

I have been a Vivint customer for just under 5 years. A couple months ago my system said that my smoke detector batteries needed to be replaced so we took it down and replaced them. Upon installing the new batteries the fire alarm went off (Vivint alarm) saying smoke was detected. We immediately cancelled the alarm on the panel. I had my phone in the room but on silent and didn't notice that ****** had called me. Unfortunately because I had not answered (even though I disarmed through the panel) they sent the fire department to my house. During this waiting period I tried calling the number back, when I finally got through to someone (fire department had already been and gone) they said that I should have called ******* phone number, not the ****** number. It took 45 minutes for me to get through to them. Now, earlier this month (March 2023) I called to buyout my contract. Was told the amount to buy it out was *****. They took this amount out of my account March 6th and I have a confirmation invoice. I was told to email my cancelation request and I did that and received a confirmation back that they would contact me if there were any issues. It is March 20th and now another payment for my monthly subscription amount has come out. I called and was told they buyout amount was incorrect and that there was still another $120.00 owing. I asked how this is possible when I only had two months remaining on my contract and I just had one payment come out on top of the *****. They said it is some of the equipment charges still outstanding. My monthly payment was ***** so this does NOT make sense. Not impressed that after paying 5 years for something this is how I'm treated.Telus

Telus has called me and is refunding the ***** charge as well as said the additional $123.00 has been waived. The original representative I spoke to when doing the buyout for my contract only charged me for one portion and missed the remaining. I thank Telus for making this right.Review fromShelby F

Continually tacking on extra fees, and adding features that were never asked for in hopes they will go unnoticed and charges paid.When extra fees are reverted then they end up on the next bill anyways and I have to wait for 3 hours on the phone to have them revert them again. It is illegal to charge for using a credit card, and they are also continuing to do this despite being told its not legal.Telus is a scam, and as a very long term customer, I advise you ***** clear.Telus

1 starI have been in a 4 month battle to get an explanation and an apology for an invoice that was sent on collection. After 3 months of emails, they refuse to have a department head call or communicate with me. This was a bill from 2015 for a toll free account I had. I have also lived at this address for 17 years and have been a long term customer on the personal side. No efforts were ever made to send this bill to my home address. FEB 5 2023 HELLO TELUS PEOPLE MY NAME IS *********************. I HAVE A COMPLAINT WITH YOUR COMPANY THAT I WILL ALSO REGISTER WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. I LIV** IN ***** ******* AND WE US** VIVANT AS A SECURITY FIRM. WE MOV** FROM ***** ON APRIL 24, 2018 AND CALL** TO CANCEL THIS SERVICE. I CALL** THEM 5 DIFFERENT TIMES TO CANCEL VIVANT AND COME AND REMOVE THE EQUIPMENT FROM THE ***** EACH TIME YOU MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH ME AND I WOULD STAY HOME AND WAIT FOR YOU TO SHOW UP WHICH YOU NEVER DID. FINALLY ON THE POSSESSION DATE APRIL24 2018 I CALL ** AGAIN TWICE AND WAS FINALLY TOLD TO TAKE THE EQUIPMENT OFF THE **** AND THROW IT IN THE GARBAGE WHICH I DID....I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE END OF IT BUT IT WASN'T. I have to pay my bill and I can use my credit card only and they are chargeing a fee for your credit card and taxes!!!! Unless you go with prepay. I have done the prepay before and they take whatever amount they want and take a month to repay the overage. So paying with my credit card they are charging me???? WHY???Telus

1 starIf we could give them NO stars, we would.Equipment always failing and I've missed work a few times due to no heat(when the system doesn't notify either of us via phones).And SO expensive!!
